I use the Slingshot too and I want my old sound back!
I face the same problem. It also happens when I’m trying to farm nodes. I stand right on top of it but cannot interact with it for a while.
I live in Malaysia and I have the same issue. It lags really bad at night (8pm – 1am) at my place and is smooth throughout the afternoon and early in the morning (past 1am). Also, clientport 80 does not improve the connection at all.

I’m using a Lenovo Y500 and I get about 35-50 FPS with most on Medium. On Lowest graphics settings I can get 100+ FPS.
The description of this skill reads “Create a field of energy that rips all boons from foes, and cures all conditions on allies.”
Does this mean that it will rip ALL boons & cure ALL conditions upon initial cast, or does it mean that it will remove 1 boon and 1 condition per pulse?
Incorrect range values
While attempting to hit Jormag (last phase), I tried out using the Shortbow’s Trick Shot which has a range of 900. It managed to hit Jormag (damage was shown). It did not bounce off any other targets to reach him: I was targeting directly at him.
However, when I swapped to my other weapon set which is the Pistol + Dagger while still standing at the same spot, it wasn’t able to hit the exact same target on Jormag (Vital Shot’s range is also 900). It indicated “Out of range”. I tried moving a little bit around the area (forwards, backwards, sideways) but it still indicates “Out of range”.
With that being said, is there an issue with the Pistol and/or Shortbow’s range?
In short, the issue here is, both the shortbow and pistol’s first abilities have a range of 900 but the pistol is not able to hit the same target of what the shortbow is able to hit.
When I asked my friend why he doesn’t want to play SPvP, he said one of the reasons is because he doesn’t get to see dragons in SPvP!
So I was thinking, maybe if some dragons were added into SPvP, more people would be interested to join SPvP!
Use a Mesmer for yourselves and you will know how the real Mesmer would act like.
Just a simple note, notice the one that attacks while moving at the same time. That’s the real Mesmer.
The Illusions are programmed in such a way that they can only either [move] or [stop and attack].
If I ever meet a HB warrior or a backstab Thief when I’m playing my Mesmer, I just laugh at delight.
They come, they fail, they run.
Point is mine to capture freely!
Happens to me too! And I thought I was the only one having this problem.
I’ve noticed 2 things about Ranger that can be easily improved.
1. Ranger’s flying pets should be allowed to “fly” past terrain impassable by ground units. This only makes sense, a bird is a bird. Why does a bird have to move like every other ground unit?
2. Pet’s menu-bar (F1, F2, F3, F4) should still be left visible in downed state since the Ranger still has access to these skills (the downed Ranger can still command the pet to attack, use its skill, return to owner, or change pet).
I hope these are taken into consideration.
Thanks.
I agree that it is nearly impossible to 1 v 1 a Guardian with a Thief.
Ever since I learned how sustainable Mesmers are, I have been sticking with it for sPvP.
I mean, a Thief sounds cool and all being able to go into stealth and dealing high bursts of damage etc., but when it comes to really sustaining and contributing in real team fights, (glasscannon) Thieves are pretty much easily obliterated (especially when you get caught and targeted). Invisibility “isn’t of much use” when your opponents can predict your movements and in big team fights, the last-bit of invisibility usually is used to escape (run away from the fight, unless you have a deathwish) when you have low HP (and basically in Conquest matches, running away would mean losing the point to your opponent; coming back out of invisibility with low HP would most likely kill you).
I have yet to try a lifesteal/tank Thief build though.

According to everywhere I’ve Google-d, the recipe is:
1 Stick of Butter
1 Vanilla Bean
1 Jug of Water
1 Bag of Sugar
However, when I try combining these materials together in Discovery, I seem to get the wrong combination. Any idea why?
Does anyone know what triggers these messages?
If it’s triggered by kills, then how many each?
Also, is skirmishing about fighting players 1 vs 1?
(Also, the font for this forum is really nice, I wonder what font this is! XD)
