According to the wiki, the normal transfer costs are 500g for Medium, 1000 for High, 1800 for Very High. Right now it’s 1000g for a Medium world. So… yeah, I’m wondering what’s up with the prices, too.

Senario 1
You got the cultural armor and did not transmute it. You kept the original (rare) stats and these are the stats currently used by your armor set.

If this is the case then as Highchu said equipping the set will unlock both the gem store armor and the cultural armor in the wardrobe. Which will allow you to swap back to the cultural set or use it on any of your other norn characters.

Senario 2
You got the cultural armor and transmuted it with another set to give it different stats. You then transmuted it again, keeping the stats and adding the gem store skin.

In this case you cannot get the cultural armor back because it’s completely gone – both the stats and the skin that were originally part of the cultural armor have been replaced.

Ah… yeah, I’m afraid Scenario 2 is what happened. And with the Transmutation Splitters being removed from the gem store, I suppose the only way to get the T3 back is to… sink all that money into it again. Oh joy, but at least I can be sure it’s my own fault ^^ Thanks for the quick help!

Hey guys, I’ve been away from GW2 for a while and have a question regarding armor skins now. I have a Norn Guardian who got the Tier 3 Cultural Armor set, all 6 pieces. Then at some point in time I got her an armor skin from the gem store and, wanting to keep item stats, transmuted it onto her cultural armor. This was a bit before the new wardrobe system was announced and then came around.

My question is: Is it possible to split the item again, to unlock the T3 Cultural armor? I would really prefer not to have to buy it again in order to get it for my wardrobe and mess around with my character’s outfit a bit more…

I have been doing personal story quests with a guildie for the past few levels, and so far everything has worked. Now we seem to have encountered a strange bug.

During “Light in the Darkness”, we were asked what our biggest fear was. Since we already knew “fear of letting an innocent die” and “fear of forcing someone to suffer”, we decided to pick “fear of being dishonored by one’s comrades”. He clicked on the option as the party leader during Light in the Darkness, and I accepted the progress post-pq. So far so normal.

Cue a few story missions later. We just did “Forging the Pact”, fought our way through all the undead and so on. We finish the mission, accept the reward… and now MY next goal is to meet Apatia (fear of forcing someone to suffer) while HE needs to go and meet with Tonn (fear of letting an innocent die) – so not only are we for some reason not getting the same story objective, but BOTH of us are getting the wrong objectives on top of it.

Long story short: Help, please? Can this be fixed?

How about instead of the whole guesting system as it is now, you rethink the approach in order to make everyone happy?
Allow free server transfers once every 24 hours, but no WvWvW on the server you did not choose as home server.
Allow server transfers with WvWvW every…. idk, 7 days, free or for gems, whatever.
Stop restricting players in features that were already available, just because you can’t get something to work you wanted to implement and advertised without the restrictions that are now in place. This is honestly entirely ridiculous. Make the choice of Home Server bound to WvWvW and allow server hopping regardless of Home Server. Something. Anything.
Just don’t even pretend like the way you’re implementing guesting now is anything like what it was communicated to be in the beginning and what the free server hopping already offered.

I’m disappointed. Back when Guild Wars 2 was still in the making, I pitched it to many of my friends in the US saying “and unlike in other MMOs, we will be able to play together!” Guess I should not have put as much faith in Anet, after all 8(

But then the description is indeed very misleading. Buying something you haven’t had before is not an upgrade. Having something and then purchasing something to make it better, that is an upgrade.

Why do existing customers deserve an upgrade? Its basically a sale on the game. If you buy a game and then 3 months later they they provide an existing piece of dlc for free with a new purchase of the game, do you expect to retroactively get the dlc for free?

It’s basically the same situation.

The buy.guildwars2 Website advertises a “free upgrade” though. At least the German one does. If they don’t intend to give a cheaper/free upgrade option for other customers, that line is very misleading.

I wasn’t sure if this belonged here or elsewhere.
We all know that the Digital Deluxe Edition is currently being sold for the price of the Digital Standard Edition. On the buy.guildwars2 site, it says “free upgrade” on the digital deluxe edition. This sounds to me as if people who already have the Digital Standard Edition can update to the Deluxe edition for free. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

If I’m right, I was just wondering if this will be made available to people who bought the game off of amazon. Because I only get the option to purchase the DDE for the reduced price, not to upgrade anything.

I’m glad they fixed it. Sexy doesn’t have to be boobs out, and the piece of armor is still plenty of revealing and sexy. Personally, the boob out was a deal breaker for me in terms of the armor. It looked awkward, and honestly, there was a hole cut out with the purpose of having a breast pushed through. The hell? It’s much better like this, and it’s still plenty of sexy. Just compare it to the male concept art. It’s not a full-body armor. Her sides are barely clothed from knee to above the waist, just some straps. How is that less revealing and sexy than what I suppose is a very, very uncomfortable boob hole? I wince every time I think of my Norn trying to fight in that.

That aside, there is also plenty of sexy heavy armor – cultural armor (looking at the norn in particular) and also several armor skins (pit fighter, gladiator). And even then, sexy does not HAVE to be revealing. To be honest, the least sexy caster armors happen to be the most revealing. A hint of butt crack is not sexy, nor is armor that would not let my character fight without chafing off her nipples and breast tissue, thank you very much. But what I find plenty sexy is armor that shows off a curves and skin, that shows my girl is not afraid of some blades.

But pulling one one boob like a mom about to awkwardly breastfeed mid-fight… that isn’t censored, that’s been properly fixed to a much better design.
