Wow, I can’t believe this thread is still going!

I just recently jumped back in, and finally got the AC chest armor and daggers that I’d been dreaming of, I’m pretty happy with how my thief looks these days

It always amazes me that in a game with so much customization, most people just end up pretending to be something they can be in another game.

CoH also had this problem, you could make any hero you could imagine, and most people just made Superman clones, it shows a deep lack of creativity in society as a whole.

Actually 99.9999999% of players in this game are still using a template from another medium, even if it is subconsciously (most of the time it isn’t) that is just the TV and subliminal world we live in.
Your tantrum complaint is just like calling all the kids that dress up on Halloween “posers” because they are ALL dressed like some character. Did it ever occur to you that making our thief look like Altair, Enzio, or Connor etc is actually our way of flattering Ubi and the design team of those games. If you are going to complain about that kind of flattery, then I feel bad for you.

I was making a general observation about the level of creativity that players in general display, not anyone specifically. Why the personal attack? That’s just uncalled for. In fact, looking at most of your recent posts, you’ve been on a trolling spree lately, what’s up with that?

Thankfully, I already own all of the parts except for the jacket, I’m going to have to run AC a few times before I can buy that :P

I’m going for a fairly classic rogue look I guess. And this is honestly one of the first MMO’s I’ve played where you can make a decent looking rogue.

Let’s not let this devolve into a childish “capes vs backpacks” argument.

We can have both, it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

I like the backpack designs, and they make sense for adventurers running around (think about how much we’re carrying :P ).

I’d give a +1 to letting us dye them, and this would be great with the eventuality of capes in the back slot as well, let us dye those as well

How do you manage to get a mask with what looks like the anonymity hood? Talking specifically about Kurow’s post on page 3. I’ve looked a lot but none of the hoods or masks in game (that I’ve seen) really look like that, and the hood part looks really like the anonymity hood

I’m too lazy to go back and check :P So I’m going to take a shot and say it’s most likely the Order of Whispers Hood. It’s a hood that’s got a face mask on it. You can only get it if you’ve joined that Order.

gah most thieves here use black/white/dark colour dye combination.
Lets use combination of some bright and fancy colours shall we?

Generally speaking, a good thief would probably stick to dark/subtle colors out of necessity, you can’t really sneak into places in a bright outfit. But at the same time, I like diversity, and I’m sure there’s some decent enough reasons as to why a thief would wear bright colors (like a pickpocket blending into the crowd).

We’ll definitely be making more food from the game and we’ll be posting more pics.

We decided to have a Tyrian feast at our weekly game night last night and we picked out 3 dishes from the game that we felt fairly certain we could make at home. We chose the Krytan Meatball Dinner, the Ascalonian Salad and the Orange Coconut Bars.

The Krytan Meatball Dinner turned out amazing! The meatballs were made with ground beef, dill & olive oil crackers and Italian blended cheeses, the sauce was a sour cream, olive oil, yellow onions and dill cream sauce and it rested atop a bed of linguini.

The Ascalonian Salad was a spring blend of lettuce with shoestring beets accompanied by a vinaigrette Ascalonian dressing.

The Orange Coconut Bars were made similarly to Lemon Bars but with oranges and coconut shavings.

The results of this experiment were incredibly good and well worth the effort. More pictures can be found here

@Ninewonderz: hey man what dye is pure black. All I have is the stupid ebony and its grayish. And where do you get dyes.

As Maurier.6094 said, true, deep black is Abyss, there’s also a “Black” dye, it’s slightly cheaper on the Trading Post (between 2 and 3 gold).

I’m currently using “Midnight Ice” on my pants and boots and it’s pretty much black. It’s not as rare either

I’m a little disappointed that we have to use spears for melee, I think a diving knife would have been much more appropriate.

That said, I do use the 5 skill a lot and I tend to avoid using the flanking attack (#2 I think) since it swings you around and causes potential aggro.

Does anyone know when/if I’ll be able to get the shoulders and possibly the other parts of this armor set? I absolutely love the style, but it seems to be incredibly hard to find.

Disclaimer: I haven’t finished the story yet, but I’m pretty far along.

It would be brilliant if in the final few quests, you’re engaged in the battle to defeat Zhaitan, because then every character declaring that they “defeated Zhaitan” would be true They all did it together, especially if there’s other “heros” and npc’s present, as I assume there will be.
