Previous patches:
Anet- “Let’s buff axes to make people want to use them.”
Me- “Sweet, I’ve always wanted a secondary choice for primary weapons on power warrior/berserker.”
August patch:
Anet- “Let’s ruin axe/axe by moving a condi trait choice into a power based tree and put a pure power based weapon into the mobility tree.”
Me – “These axe skins are tempting, but the build is ruined. Guess I’ll just go back to greatsword.”
But in all seriousness, can anyone explain to me why this change was positive for duel axes, or was this trait swap to just give a second trait choice to gs+axe/shield? Strength/Defence/Berserker allowed axe/axe to force a lot of burst through block and still have a skill based way to sustain with rousing resiliance and outrage. Now the build is being forced to either kitten damage or kitten durability for 25% movement speed and a faster weapon swap. axe/axe played like a slow moving juggernaught intended to power down guards, reapers, and other block based professions, now it’s back to it’s old gimmicky self.
