I wish hammer #3 worked like GS #5, you send out the immobilize in a line, and then you can press the skill again to knock down anyone who you hit, seems like it would be fun
I love the idea.
I think probably the best overall solution would be to have 2 Death Shrouds, F1 and F2.
F1 should be melee and Power oriented. F2 should be ranged and Condition oriented.
They could share a cooldown, either 10 seconds or maybe longer if having 2 creates a balance issue.
oooh good idea, keep the 10 sec cooldown and 5 sec cooldown trait for each, but when you use the melee one, the ranged one goes on a 1 min cooldown and vice versa, so it forces you to make a choice.
- skill 2: is a bit strong for a 10 second cool down (weakness + confusion) which are arguably some of the best conditions in this game. pick one or the other.
- skill 3: crossbows basically work like rifles, i don’t know if you want this to be a spray attack or another circle-type shot
- skill 4: i’m fine with this. if an enemy let’s you stand kneeled for 3 seconds without doing anything and allows themselves to get hit by this, they deserve to.
- skill 5: is this invisibility? or is this blind?
Hmm I would rather have confusion on #2, bad players will fight through it, and good players will either use condition removal or stop using abilities.
For #3 I was thinking just single target, fire it once and it would pulse the chill. Kind of like the arrow was slowly injecting the ice drake venom. Maybe you could turn this into a cone attack /shrug.
And #5 I was thinking it would work like the Mesmer blurred frenzy skill, no stealth, just immune to damage.
My wish is that they add a crossbow weapon. The auto attack is a chain of 3 attacks, first attack is 1/2 second long and does damage, second attack is 1/2 long and gives 1 second of fury, third attack is 1 second long and shoots two arrows that pierce. 1000 range.
- Skill (Lead Arrow) 1/2 cast time. Causes 2 stacks of confusion for 5 seconds and weakness for 5 seconds. 10 sec CD. 1000 range.
- Skill (Ice Drake Shot) Instant. Causes a chill that pulses every other second for 6 seconds. 15 sec CD. 1200 range.
- Skill (Dead Eye) 3 second cast time. The longer you hold the button down the more damage the shot does. Release at 1 second shoots 2 arrows, at 2 seconds 3 arrows, at 3 seconds 4 arrows. Cripples for 3 seconds. 20 sec cd. 1500 range.
- Skill (Hide!) 2 second cast time. You blend yourself and nearby allies in a flurry of leaves for 3 seconds, causing all attacks to miss. 30 sec CD. 600 range.

Just tested it, it only gives fury, my power was not effect at all and I did not get the might buff.
This is a neat build, I wasnt aware dodge exploding clones counts as clone death, because shattering doesnt, nice to know

Axe auto-attack and Ghastly claws needs to hit up to five targets in a 300 range radius around the main target, I think it would be cool to have a cleave attack at range.
Hmm maybe a range of 240 would be better.

On the armor runes that state that an effect has a 5% chance to trigger when hit, does that mean when I, the player, hit something? Or when something damages me?
I haven’t been able to find a clear answer to this question.
Just tested it out and at full adrenaline I got 11 bleed stacks and at one bar I got 7, so you do in fact get more bleed stacks at full adrenaline.

I’m hoping the updates bring a fix to the bouncing pistol trait, make it a 50% chance for the bullets to bounce to two additional targets, ahhh that would be nice.

My shouts heal. My shouts build adrenaline. My shouts remove a condition. Burst skills cost 1 less bar when used. I gain 4 stacks of might on weapon swap. I can weapon swap every 5 seconds. I gain even more might from Longbow blast finisher in combo field.
Lay down field, lay on 10-15 seconds of burning, swap sword, leap for finisher, lay on bleeds, swap back, lay on burning, swap, etc.. built for Condition Damage, Healing Power, Toughness. Between the elite signet, for great justice, and the blast finisher, I basically sit at 25 stacks of might comfortably if I’m in combat for more than 45 seconds. Target will be constantly burning and bleeding. All I could ask for out of Longbow… it’s making it hard for me to play other classes because it honestly feels too OP. Longbow is essentially the best weapon for interacting with combo fields, at least that I could find. If you wanna lose some survivability and CC removal, drop Warhorn and grab an axe offhand, you now have a GIANT, nearly permanent combo field and every combo finisher in the game in one build.
This is the exact same build I use, But instead of having burst cost less I take the -20% recharge, I find that I always have enough adrenaline to keep my burst on cooldown, I love the longbow, it is absurd the amount of damage that I can put out in an AoE situation, I sit at 13-18 stacks of might all the time. Let’s not even get started on the carnage that happens when I swap to an axe off-hand, fun stuff

1. Make my build on a trais builder
2. Go on GW2pedia and check if any of my traits are bugged.Seriously, that’s the most important step in creating a new build.
So true, I started a new necro a couple of weeks ago and I would try to come up with different kinds of builds that sounded fun, only to find out that either a trait or utility was bugged, ruining the build.
I trust Anet is doing their best to fix as many bugs when the 15th rolls around, if necros are left behind I guess I’ll just stick with my guardian.
I’m wondering, while in DS, do all these life siphon skills like heal on crit and wells or what have you, do they restore HP while in DS?

Well i played over 200 tournements so far and been thru beta so i think i have a grasp on what synergies there are. I was an addict to scepter/1h but i just removed the scepter, the hammer is superior and critting for 4k with mighty blow 50% of the times is just to good, and it just turned ranged.
Play warrior, what does that have to do with anything? Is there a contradiction in being a guardian playing with a hammer and lacking a gapcloser in the hammer? Should only warriors have gapclosers on hammers?
And yes it has to do with skill when people think banish and the chain are to slow. They are slow but when they hit they are very powerful. People need to check out the dps on the chain, really check it out and compare the executiontime with our other chains, i think they will be suprised.
It was what the hammer needed, not guardian in general. The hammer is fine now, if i get faster animations on banish and the chain it will turn OP. Dps is really nice and cc is great. Im satisfied.
I agree, the hammer feels “fluid” now. Good changes.
I found it to be a very nice change, the jump isn’t so large that you’ll overshoot your target, and the ability of having a little gap closer is nice. The hammer feels a lot more fluid now.
