Thanks guys, i had actually seen this build online and was just checking out the stats on it, i guess i won’t be trying to make this build, any builds you guys could link or post?

Hey guys so recently i just finished an all DPS Thief build with dagger/dagger because everyone was saying it was the most viable build but i find that i get drained way to fast and the dagger/dagger doesn’t take advantage as as many skills which is why i might change to pistol/dagger. Were you combo’ing effectively? Not that the C&D->Steal->BS combo is hard to do, but I’ve seen quotes on this forum by players saying that 1) they can’t do it or 2) it can only be done by a macro (lol?)

There’s even a thread over in the Thief forum from a week or two ago where they state that positioning for BS is too hard, so they just exclusively HS spam. Which I know we have all seen in WvW

Haha yea thanks for the advice, and yes HS spam does put out a lot of dmg which is why people do it but thanks for actually being helpful instead of exclusively hating like the guy above ^

If you are only using 2, 5 and sometimes 4, well there’s your problem. It’s kind of weird to pass judgement on a build you don’t even know how to play, or never tried playing.

Therefore I will reserve judgement on the build you linked.

I know how to use the build, obviously I use 1 but it is an auto attack so i didn’t mention it and also just doesn’t put as much damage out as 2 say if someone is below 50%. Just my two sense

I keep names on at all times… I don’t see how this could fool someone who does unless you just weren’t rendered (lol culling).

…people have names off in WvW? Aside from those kitten thieves, it’s hellishly useful to have a big red “I’m not friendly!” title over that person that just poofed into existence thanks to culling.

hey you have a point but try using tonics, they work strangely well

What tonics do you use, and where can you get them?

I mainly use ruminant tonics but also get the hylek tonics from an npc. You can also make tonics in the mystic forge but find it is a hassle because you tend to need a lot of materials.

Do most people disable the server color thing on enemy equipment? I never bothered, so all the enemies I see are dressed in red, blue etc. Hard to blend into the landscape as the red server against me unless you’re pretending to be a raspberry bush.

haha thats a good idea actually though hiding in a raspberry bush. But like i said before, we found that the tonics actually worked pretty well, if you skip ahead in the video i posted you can see some examples

small roaming around in eternal battlegrounds as well. also disguises as animals with the use of tonics

Well sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, a lot of time, we try to lie down so were almost completely hidden in the brush. But in all honesty, disguising yourself as an animal works better

So i’m not sure if people have been doing this but me and my friends do something were we either try to blend in with bushes or diguise ourselves as rams in WvW. If you feeling bored on the game like i was try it out!

You’ll be surprised how many people don’t see you :P and another thing i like to do is getting a bunch of ruminant tonics and turn into rams on the hills. Surprisingly enough again, people don’t think to look at rams. Turning into other animals work as well such as hyleks in the hylek camp
