Honestly, why not? As I noted in another thread this game isnt divided into multiple warring factions, so its not like people will just race change to the “winning” side. Even still, WoW has it and you could switch sides too

As far as personal story goes, as others pointed out, it could be reset and parts that were already “done” could be redone with no rewards

I don’t know why anyone is against this. What harm can this do to you, if anet gave us a race change? I don’t want to make a new character because of soulbound skins, commander tag and the fractal back. Even if I made a new character, I would refuse to help anyone in low level zones so, getting us to play old content again is a worthless argument. A lot of us only WvW so, leveling a new char is a hassle. In other words, we don’t care about the lore/story if it bugs out. We just want a race change and reset the story if it’s needed (which no one will probably complete).

This. Seriously it doesnt “harm” anyone. It’s not like this game has two warring factions which would distort the population by everyone going to the winning side, and even then WoW has the option to change races and factions. And I don’t get people who think you should be attached to your characters from the beginning… this is moot since you can already change your character’s genetic features and name

This is pretty annoying. My guardian cant complete the map because of this

Ammo for weapons, food for pets, and other items necessary for certain abilities. Yes it was annoying when you ran out, but there is something about it that I miss.

I could maybe see this in an expansion on another content like Cantha. Perhaps make all the playable races there hostile towards the tyrians, or you could another Kurzick/luxon thing for part of the map.

As long as PVE’ers are left alone then im cool with it
