Hello!
I am a returning player, havent played gw2 much since launch, just logged on from time to time. I leveled my guardian to 80, and have leveled a ranger to 65. I have also played with all the other classes, but havent really gotten into them.
Since I havent played for so long, I guess a lot has happend to the game, like class changes, and such.
Now I have more time, and really want to return to this fantastic game. So the issue is, I kinda like all classes, except the thief, if i remember correctly, but want to focus more on one or two characters.
I would appreciate some help to choosing a class for me:
I will mainly do pve; living story, world events, world bosses, world completion, etc. Although I do want to get into dungeons, I have a feeling people dont want a newbie in their group, and I dont want to slow people down :p I want to be able to take on more than one mob at a time and not struggle with veterans. I dont need to be able to almost solo champs, but I dont want to rely on 10 other players to get it down, as I remember waiting for people to show up for the champs took quite some time. I like to be “tanky”, meaning I dont want to be squishy and easily killed, but have good sustainability and survival. I dont necessary mean “just stand there and take all the hits” kinda tanky, I like an active gameplay.
I also like to have a good amount of usable/viable slot skills to choose from, not “pick these and never change it”. It doesnt matter if i’m being ranged or melee, I tend to like both.
I should mention that I enjoyed jumping into WvW zerg groups every now and then. It doesnt matter much if I do the damage, or support the group.
That’s basicly it, I know there are a ton of threads out there asking for the best class etc, but I couldn’t find one that asks the same questions as me. If there is a thread like this, I am sorry for posting another one.
Do you think I should relearn my guardian or level a new character? I enjoy leveling, so leveling a new character is no issue for me at all.
Thanks! =D

I went out and got 64-bit, since it is beneficial for other games as well. The game havent crashed since
Thanks for the help!
Changing the 3d settings to “1” didnt help
Does this mean that upgrading to 64-bit OS is my best bet?
Hello, thanks for the awesome quick response!
I do have a 32 bit os, with 4gb RAM installed. My graphic card is Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti.
I will test your suggestion when i am able to play later tonight, if this doesnt help, I will consider upgrading to 64 bit.
Thanks a lot! =)
Hello! I haven’t played Gw2 for a while. When i did, the game crashed on occasion (every 1-2 hours). Now I have returned, and now it crashes after 1 min in wvw.
