Hey,
I sent a ticket on Friday 14th requesting a character rollback, as my account had previously been ‘hacked’.
I’m completely unaware of whether or not the ticket actually went through, or what’s actually happening with it; I didn’t receive any kind of email confirmation regarding the ticket, and there doesn’t seem to be anywhere on the site to manage tickets you’ve sent.
I’ve seen posts where people have been told to update their tickets, and of course posts in this thread with people giving their ticket number. Am I missing something?
Aaand the lag is back.
:(
Could I get banned for using AutoHotkey to toggle the right mouse button?

I haven’t held down that right button ever. I came from Tera online and they had amazing controls and combat which I tried my hardest to emulate.
Here’s the fix
Third party software “X-mouse button control”
how to do it:1. install and open software
2. click on Add in the lower left corner, link to GW2.exe and select it after you made it.
3. open the pull-down menu behind “right button” and select simulated keys
4. enter {RMB} in the field and select “8 Sticky…” and hit ok.
5. click “Apply” and you are done and no changes need to be made in game. Now just right click to bring up the mouse and right click again to make it go away. Basically allowing you to free cam and only click if you need to target a spell or player/npc. Enjoy
3th party software to control your mouse into letting it do things while your not pressing any buttons.I wouldnt advice people to use this, unless you want your account banned.
That’s ridiculous. I’ll cut off my right leg if that’s true. I recently bought a new mouse and it actually CAME with X-Mouse Button Control. It’s a very useful program.
I’m sure toggles aren’t bannable. If they are, it’s very silly. People like playing in different ways. I agree with the OP, holding down the RMB does put strain on your wrist. Some sort of free camera option (just an example, Champions Online had multiple camera options if I recall) would be cool.
People hear the words “Third Party Software” and immediately freak out. It’s not a bot. It’s a different way of doing things. However, it should /not/ be necessary.
Okay. Weirdest thing.
I’ve received dozens of authentication emails from anet asking me to authorize a log-in attempt. It’s always never been me, the country has always been CN (China). However today I tried to log in and it asks me to authorize because I’m apparently logging in from a new location.
So I panicked, thinking somehow someone had got into my account. I authorized this login attempt, rushing in to check on my character, expecting all my money to be gone or my character deleted.
Thankfully, everything was how I left it. One of my guildmates suggested that maybe my I.P had been changed at some point during a disconnection that I wasn’t aware of, which was entirely possible – I’m not constantly monitoring my network after all. I joked saying “Hey, maybe now the lag will be magically fixed!”
And it was.
I even went to the zone I had the worst lag in, Dredgehaunt Cliffs. No latency whatsoever.
ANET, if you did something, THANK YOU <3. I just hope this is permanent, and I’m not just having a lucky hour or so. :P
Thought I’d add some info onto my previous post – strangely it changes in certain areas. For example, I was in Gendarran Fields, then Lions Arch, then Hoelbrak. All were fine, /slight/ delay but no big deal.
I then transitioned into Dredgehaunt Cliffs, and there was HUGE latency issues immediately noticeable. Attacks, NPC interactions taking seconds to respond.
Furthermore, speaking to several people on map chat, plenty of people were not experiencing any problems, yet others were.
This makes no sense whatsoever. However, playing has become more stressful and irritating than enjoyable, so I’m definitely going to be playing a lot less until it’s sorted.
Also – considering it was started by a mod – shouldn’t this thread be stickied? The fact that it isn’t makes me worried that this isn’t an issue currently being worked on.. which would suck. >_<

Been with the guild for a week now and had loads of fun. Great RP and friendly people!

Connecting from Amsterdam area, my pings on online games are usually 15ms and no packetloss obviously.Started to notice network, packetloss style, lag since a few days ago. In some zones it seems fine but in others there will be a pause in gameplay of 1 to 2 seconds every 5 or so seconds. Very annoying and brings down enjoyment of the game by a lot.
This didn’t happen during headstart or the week after that, smooth lagless gameplay until now.
Exactly the same here. First week or so it was perfectly fine, now I’m getting a second or two of latency whenever I use an ability, evade etc.
On Piken Square [EU] also. From the UK, on Sky Broadband.
