I play MMO as solo player even if I always hear that MMO are for multi-players. I still find the progression, open world and general gameplay more attractive than one person RPG.
In HoT we still have 3 new zones and quite some exploration to do. We also have the new revenant profession to level. Maybe I’ll try some fractals since the first levels will be easier.
But yes, once all of this is done, I will probably move to another game. $50 for a good 3 or 4 months worth of play is still a very good bargain.

I’m confused by the people who are against the grind to get Ascended gear for raids.

Raids are supposed to be endgame content that takes commitment, investment and dedication.

Because people don’t know what raiding is. They think raid as dungeon or fractal.

I totally agree. It’s a simple fix. It won’t cost anything in development and can have a big impact on PvP. There should be an option to do PvP without being slaughtered by premades. Not fun.

For a long time, fixed raid size has been an issue. You will see, it sucks to be on a bench while the other guild members raid.
In the last expansion World of Warcraft introduced flex raid. It was a true breakthrough. The raid difficulty scales with the number of people you bring. It has been a true success. No more people on the bench. For instance you have a flex raid size between 10 to 20. This will satisfy most of the guilds.

Well said. It looks to me they could not just resist attracting players from other games. WoW has a hard time these days.

Kind sad if legendary armor are raid only reward. I liked in this game to have multiple paths for rewards. I don’t want another MMO where raiders have the best rewards of the game. Not again the 10 man raiding guild thing.

When you say staff for range, you can’t use it in Shroud. The new shroud is only melee and we can’t access the old shroud with the reaper trait. Right?

I was wondering if someone tried the new Reaper in fractals? What was the level? how did you find it? How was life force generation? How did you deal with the “no range option”?

I am a casual player. Staying around level 9 for fractals. I’m interested in melee characters and in particularly I was thinking about the new elite necro reaper. However I am wondering how melee do with fractals. I always play range because it is easier to stay safe.
Is it much harder to play melee in fractals? Is range really easier?

I have lag issue too. I am on Devona’s Rest which is a medium pop server. I played all evening with a guildmate but he told me he did not have any lag issue on his computer. I am running a repair of the client but I don’t know what else to do. As far as i know i always had a good Internet connectivity. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

I will play until I reach level 80. Maybe I’ll try to get 100% world exploration but not sure. After that I think I will buy another game. However I find GW2 is a great game. Tis been a refreshing experience.
