Now the game is f2p I fear anet will release new armour purely through the gem store and not as quest/dungeon/fractal/event rewards even more so now, I do purchase some now and then so I am not entirely against gem store goods, but I fear they will surely milk it now they have taken the games price tag off.

If you make compelling gameplay and reward those play, you will always have people playing your game. Happy players will support you when you bring out a sale on a mini or something special. Don’t forget this anet.

I tested it out a few times to check if it was only graphical but the health bar of any boss i keep hitting long enough does fall much faster over time.

My mesmers auto attack isnt resetting and constantly stacks as long as i dont evade, use any other skill i managed to get up to 50k+ im sure if i found a lonley keep the door would break down fast if it stacked high enough

In all seriousness. It may appear spammed but in that particular build the damage is heavily relied on pumping out as many clones as possible. The faster you fool your opponent into hitting them the quicker they die. If you wish to survive a condition mesmer either run past them or gain a better eye and think twice before just carelessly attacking what you think is the real one. It’s not too hard to notice to behaviour difference

Just look at your footage, it’s hilarious how easy and effective the condition Mesmer build is.

All you do is spam weapon skills and all your utilities as soon as they are available, dodge roll whenever, sometimes to avoid damage but it doesn’t matter as dodging summons a clone which applies condi’s on death.

You just spam skills and dodges while backpeddling and it works!
Passive condi application from clones and passive healing from the signet.

After just 8 seconds into the fight most of your weapon skill and utilities are on cooldown…

So easy, the state of this game. No risk vs reward for some professions and their builds.

You’re the kind of boring Mesmer that’s a joke to 1v1 in WvW, as soon as you get threatened you just stealth and run away to reset, again no risk vs reward.
+Stun breaking teleport on a weapon skill >.<

Don’t forget charging at them with the block that’s an old favourite <3

i like this idea alot but the switching bodies would never be allowed. we’d just run to a keep switch bodies with the veteran archers and port everyone in lol

Id like something like this though:

Signet of Retreat: passive: 25% movement speed | Active: Leap Backwards (similar to spear 2 underwater only backwards)

Would be very useful with greatsword. when too close hit 5. then leap back and continue, faster than blink

If you could add a new utility to the mesmer what would you add?

Example:

Burden:
Cast an anchored shackle on target

Effect:
Cripple 4s – Reduce Movement speed by 20% 4s – Cooldown 45 seconds

And they took three seconds of casting time while the thief sat there doing a cloak + dagger, backstab and autoattack rotation, dealing absolutely huge amounts of damage.

And then your theif goes on cooldown while you and your phantasms keep hitting. If your talking about PVP just roll the PU

I understand where your coming from though but mesmers arent built for pure DPS we bring utility and control.

No not the weakest. my phantasms have hit up to 7.8k iv seen. and you can summon 3 + your own attacks.

what if “press 4” Summoned a Phantasm that spins spear like a fan and blows everything away while making a circular sheild to stand behind. ;oooo

I main a mesmer and I completely annihilate people. especially warriors they stand no chance lol

I don’t know if its deliberate or a bug but all i know is im leveling my crafting and i need to clear my stock. however every 5-10 sells this comes up and i have to wait 20 seconds or so to resell another 5-10 items. its just irritating. is it intentional at all?

This mantle clips over EVERY backpiece. its frustrating as hell because the armor itself looks fantastic. please fix

A pet or minions job isn’t to mimic the user but deal damage, the phantasms don’t need to change, the clones don’t do any damage unless killed, improving there AI wouldn’t drastically change anything it would simply take people a little longer to identify the real Mesmer which means they would be doing what’s intended

Improving the clones AI

The shatter build no longer works well because any experienced player can instantly identify the real mesmer, it wouldn’t require much. If the clones could simply evade now and then, and rotate between animations of the weapon they’re wielding it would give back the clones feel of illusiveness and will lower the amount of the stealth skills we depend on in PvP now.

Same, not often but does happen every now and then, doesnt matter what weapon i just freeze on the spot for around 4-5 seconds while in combat.

This thread describes me perfectly, when the game first came out i sat on 80fps on ultra, 3 weeks ago i was on around 45, i went on holiday abroad, came back to 7-15fps MAX no matter what setting i choose. lion arch is unplayable

i was running smoothly, about 45fps as an all around average, went on holiday last 3 weeks, came back and now its dropped to 7-15fps, i havent even had the computer on!

I thought that, but in the news section it was stated it would take time remodelling.
if it comes out now it will probably just be a reskin of something else

Im with you MisterEction, my mesmer looks fantastic now, completley gutted this is going…..

the MAJOR thing im really bummed about is i purchased a makeover kit to make the skin and glow match the armor, useless. all thanks to these moaning buggas complaining about an armor that was making people happy, dont like it? dont buy it. who cares what other people look like
