Guild Wars 2

I tried this it was one of the links in the link few messages higher it was about downloading and installing

Click the “Start” button to bring up the Start Menu.
Type in CMD into the “Search programs and files” field but do not hit enter. Doing this will change your start menu to show the program “cmd.exe.”
Right-click on “cmd.exe” and select “Run as Administrator.” This will bring up a new window.
Type “netsh winsock reset” without the quotes. When the command is completed successfully, a confirmation will appear, followed by a new command prompt line.
Try connecting to the game again.

this was new to me but then I have not been here for almost 2 years so think this was not there yet and it worked I was watching the line filling up at 12 % if lucky then I got there but most of the time it stopped at 2 % then 12% was next number to stop was around 21% so was just hoping it went over and I just was so glad it finally went all up to 100% so after 2 years, maybe bit longer ago, I can play again even had mail in game from 2 years ago and stil got my gems so finally after more then 2 years I can play again

I can not add repair guild wars repair shortcut so probebly not working the shortcut has new name but the exe is stil exe and without the repair and I just read this new response not coming here so much nothing news for me if game is off from pc so just noticed it stopped at 2 % guess is because I can not repair a game that is uninstalled and can not reinstall because it now stops at 2 % it is getting less each time so if it get stuck how can I install if it stops at 2% somehow it just can not be reinstalled so guess if nothing there nothing to be repaired

I had this for long time I also tried to get solution in this forum or even contacted them and I have not played gw2 for atleast 2 years now and I keep trying now and then even tried to download the 32 version but it just stops before it get to 20 % it would be so nice if it worked again I mean game play is free but I stil put money in it to buy the game and get me some items in game and I think is sad if get not so much respond and help one of the things they say I need to upgrade my pc then I had I think windows 8 wel yes my pc is old I can not get me newer one and why would I I mean other games stil work can be they start up slowly but they work even after so many updates the other games stil work and when I got windows 10 on it I have tried downloading again but stil this game stop with the at some point between 8 and 20 % I tried all I know what to do I am not computer nerd so just tried what I know but guess my guildwars adventure 2 ended atleast 2 years ago and after that I tried resinstalling many times but never get above 20 % so guess guildwars2 will stay a memory it was fun to play but the help and service to me has been very very low I mean I also play other games some event are totally free no need to buy a game to play and there even it can take a day or bit longer because of time difference they help and if I have troubles they not say you got old computer but they keep trying untill it works I mean it has windows 10 on it and that works great so computer is old but the windows is updated and as long as that works guess guildwars should work to
it would have been nice to play just because it is different also long time for me in forum think last time I wrote something in forum was probebly also 2 years ago and then I gave up on asking and trying but I hope you have more luck and more help from tech support I have been trying installing again today and guess what I got to 20 % 32 version the 64 version I just got to 8% so guess nothing changed but I don’t count for little help from the tech support anymore I give up on that long time ago

wel guildwars was fun guess you send in a ticket then you get message to give more information and then that was it and new or old computer I can stil play all games I played like 3 or even alot more years ago except for guildwars it always give troubles after updates but wanted to say thanks guildwars for asking me info so you are better able to help and then just forget about me no help no nothing guess if you have an older pc you are just not interesting anymore

wel I submitted a ticket hoop get awnser soon and thanks for info and help just to bad it did not work
and I am not a computer wonder so not sure about the OS
my windows downloads an update as soon as it is availleble so think the OS will be in there to but I am not going to change things I do not know anything about so far other games work just fine and wil not say they never have troubles but not like GW2 this is just to bad that half of the time I am trying to get an update all the way till the end and not just stops at 2 %
also the GW2 has the problem to crash once or twice every hour if it works and finally is updated and that is why I just paused for a bit I mean every hour atleast 2 times crashing so hard that I had to push the reset button on pc because it had total black screen and was completely stuck also again just only with guildwars
but now I just wait for response on my ticket

if that really was a straight download from the side then why stil got some client in between straight download to me was once you download it and then install it manually from your pc into the game but now stil got the idea that the client is in between and stil make the game update crash I got same with your link as I had with the game startup and then start downloading it just not works

but guess if you can not make a good download I give up to bad I had to buy a game that I most of the time can not play because of the updates that Always seem to give so much trouble here and this is the only game I have that have these troubles

other games can crash to but if I then put the firewall off there is no problem they update as they should be but Always with this game

if there was a way to get refund of the game and al the items I stil bought in the game I would not mind think in the 3 years I got this game I maybe played half of the time the other half I am trying to get the game working and I do not think that that is the idea of a game

no way it crashes again it does just get an error again and this is the same as I had so does not work

and can not even edit my message above I missed saying the trouble seem to be with the client that downloads the update so if the client is not good how can I update and I downloaded the client few times now but it just does not work I would not mind if I can download it straight from the side like it was once the more clients you get for games the worse the downloads get
bad thing is if the client not works there is no way to download your game straigt from the side you are forced to get the client working but it doesn’t so how do I get my update if the client gives up at maybe 3 % of the download
my firewall is off so it should work I have other games but as ussual it is just guildwars that seem to have these problems if look in forum I have had more problems and always with updates always same sort but this time no way with intstalling new client that it works it doesn’t
so if possible please link to normal download without the client please or place to download the update without the client

I can not even get the update and do not even think off uninstalling
I got my firewall off so wonder what the problem is now again I mean this is not the first time I have this issue it is almost with every update

wel I got same problem to and also got nvidia card but every time we get an update I hope it stops crashing and the weirdest thing is when I first start to play the game like maybe a year ago can be bit longer I never had that problem think is from the last 4 months and I stop playing when I crash 3 or 4 times and just go play other game very sad because I really like to play guildwars but I also do not want my pc to crash every 10 maybe if can make it 15 minutes and have to push the powerbutton off and on again to get my pc working again do not think that is real great for my pc
and I tried alot to like drivers put the graphics lower and alot more reinstall and my friend also tried alot he is better with pc then I am technically but he does not get it either I mean all other games just work normal
so is not fun to play that way and I just play another game but it would be fun if it will be fixed soon I mean 3 or 4 months I have hardly played and I use to play it every day just because I liked it alot
so please fix this problem I mean I bought the game for fun and not just to have it installed and getting to be some frustrated thing that just does not work the way it should be

wel I got it again playing game for say 30 minutes and poof screen blaxk and I have to restart the pc twice to get it al working again I have not played for few weeks because trhe last time it was think 6th or 7th time it happen and I do not like to try again because I can not imagine that this crashing is really good for pc and for windows so far all is updated I checked and my videocard is great to and hope you not tell I need to change things because I play alot of games and this is really the only game that has this bad crashing issue so I really not think it is my side and see here that there are more who has this problem so I really think it is something in the game somewhere that make this happen can not going to say that all the crashing people have bad pc or windows and it is not the game sorry I do not believe that and this happen to me like 2 months ago first time and from then it just keep doing that so I hoped with every update it will be gone but no way so guess this makes me not going to play this game for much while I really had so much fun I even put some money into it like most maybe did but think that is finished now to I mean I can hardly p;ay without crashing and can not think that is real fun anymore so please fix this problem so I can play normally like I did from the beginning I mean just wholes days and no crashings that would be such fun

got same thing my pc crashes after say 10 minutes and then my whole pc need reboot because I got black screen so I think this is bad problem if I need to push reset button everytime it crashes is bad for pc and bad for windows so fix it please never had before so it would be very weird it it now suddenly crashes and it is my pc I do not think so other games work fine like normal even if they get updates to so must be some weird thing in the game update I believe
oh and about the update I got the drivers update a week ago so that would be not a problem still other games no troubles I even checked if there might be another one but drivers all last version

wel normally it works finr for me but now it is just crazy I mean it does not go even further then the connection screen and that is a boring screen after such long time it would be fun to see it move on to the next one with your log in info and can click to go and play
and I read in other posts about a repair thing but is that to find in the start up screen because was thinking maybe I can repair something but if it is after the screen that now keep trying to connect then guess that is no option then

wonder if I am stil the only one now that can not connect and keep stuck with the connection retrying screen
been busy almost half a day and if other things of me have connection like this forum

wpi;d be weird if I can write a post here and I would not be connected I mean that would be really weird
so why does it keep trying to find a connection if to me it seems I already have one

even downloading again is not working I can download the game client the one that starts the downloading that works but then I start to run the setup and poof it comes back again with the announcement I do not have connection
I really not think it is me because I can play other games and I can look at youtube and can read my eamil all stuff that really need connection so please solve this problem thanks very much it would be time now I am trying for long enough to get frustrated with this I mean I did not buy this game to be just looking at a screen saying it is trying to connect but to be honest it does not really do much so after few minutes I just click it off again and like I said reinstalling does not really is promising if it even then say I do not have connection

it would be nice if I can play the game I mean rhat is what a game is for not just to watch the first screen to see it not connect and keep trying for as long untill I just close it and try again
I even restarted modem and tried again and stil no game to play I do not think this is so much fun anymore

wel after some time I thought lets try again but it stil does not work so is bad and my connection is good my husband can play his games and he need connection to so if he does have and it keep saying here there is no connection guess it is not me but the server of the game
other games work fine by me so why not this one and can not say that al the other people with this problem have bad connections I mean that would be absurd

yes that is what I mean it starts but that is it it keep trying to connect and I also tried something other person said like start as administrator but same thing after restart so guess if there are more then with this problem
is guildwars problem I think with the update

if there is maintenance normally it go to login part and from there you can not get any further so not sure what is wrong and was wondering if others have same problem
