First night back on vabbi and we’ve had the best fight we’ve had in at least a month! :p Looking forward to the rest of the week

Not being funny but if BT had the numbers drakkar had you’d zerg just as much, I remember when the matchup was vabbi vs FoW vs BT, you’d have 1 massive blob (no small groups) and you’d go vabbi border flip all that then go to FoW flip there stuff etc. etc.
But now you are the ones having it done to you you complain, at least they are trying to get some fun fights from this I’ll be there blaub!

I think the answer to that question is kind of obvious.

I mean I get you all want “good fights” but all going to the same server makes little to no sense. At least when HT transferred they didn’t join the already stacked RoS.

Don’t even know if RoS can beat ROF or drakkar lake. So basically instead of 3 “stacked” servers there are 4 in this league that can take 1-3. Dzag has put up some good fights. Let’s face it even if surmia didn’t get transfers vabbi was going to get roflstomped…your complaining and whining and yes your are… Is just pointless change the topic to something else RoS gives the top 3 someone to fight…check the other 2 matchups…

Wasn’t just aimed at you so don’t act like it was. Reasons for moving down being wrong… Write a book on it I’d like to read it. When you look at it ros will have good fights against 3 strong servers most matchups. I didn’t move “down” so I don’t know what the situations for everyone who moved were like…sometimes a community change is nice. Sadly wvw will never be perfect for everyone or anyone IMO lol it is what it is.

By the time i’ve finished the book all these guilds woulda hopped to the next server where they can easily win so I wont waste my time and I don’t wanna get in an argument about why every guild moved, I think there are good reasons for leaving a server but I don’t think all the guilds on RoS moved for a nicer community or less queues :p

Well this week shows us what is to come, in fairness the whole free transfers has made things way more difficult for Vabbi and WSR, people aren’t willing to come to vabbi because it is last so all these guilds are bandwaggoning on to the next highest medium server, seeing BT war on RoS did make me laugh though :p

I have been on vabbi for maybe 6 months now, I would say 90% of my time is spent in wvw, I think 30 people at most are in the main group though I can’t say for sure as I stopped commanding the main group a long time ago. If you have any other questions let me know

Funny how you say that you’re not working together, but in the same post you say “there was no BT on at the time”. So you DID know when they were on, so you may also know where they’ll hit next etc.

This matchup is honestly boring, I thought playing against a different server for a while would be fun and well the only fun I’ve had all week is running around EB with my Guild Kite.

I’m sorry to say but even playing against BT & AS was more enjoyable.

I can see why some players from WSR moved to vabbi for the week, they wanted to earn some WXP, and I guess thats alright, as being on such an underdog server all you can do is capture stuff.

The difference is you guys can put up a good fight on your own, you can match the green servers numbers on a battleground, we are outmanned pretty much every where we go so yeah you guys would stand up for yourself :P Vabbi and FoW shouldn’t ever be compared, we are in a dire situation and while you guys are in a bad situation it is nowhere near as bad as ours, i’m not gonna lie the only reason we can cap stuff during the day at least is because the green server is distracted with you guys But vabbi is a fun server we aren’t looking to be the best so people come here to relax from hardcore zergs and the blame games which I hear happen on FoW

I had a thought. Morale on Vabbi is high at the moment yes? I hope it stays high after the people leave (I assume?). Why? For a long time FoW has had no competion. We can never beat the green server, but at the same time Vabbi was never a threat. Now we have competion after so long, and it’s going to take some adjusting too. Changing how you think takes time.

Having barely fought Vabbi it’s like having a new server to fight imo. As of right now Vabbi is stronger than us due in part to the night capping, but I saw a 35~ man zerg on EB earlier too. I hope FoW rises to the challenge and Vabbi stays around this strength and we can finally have an exciting matches, even if it’s just FoW vs Vabbi for second. Or fighting who ever is green in a loose ‘alliance’.

How many transfered by the way? 15~ in total?

8/9 people I think and even with this high morale we still can’t match your numbers but we shall see hopefully we can attract more people in to wvw ^^

I haven’t been bragging But I understand the ones who are because week in week out we get to be the kicking dog for both BT and lately FoW and now we are doing well through the day thanks to the people capping things at night meaning nothing is upgraded. Let them enjoy it, don’t worry buddy in a week or 2 we’ll be your kicking dogs again

Well first off, I don’t know if Vabbi is kittening stupid or what and if they think capping keeps in the night is proving how “good” they can be (some do have a life, thank you very much). But the thing is, no one will get out of this tier if you’re playing like idiots.

Backstabbing us, everyday for the past week – do you really think anything “good” will come from it? There’ll be more focus on you than ever before. But seeing as more members are moving to Vabbi, for some kittened up unknown reason. a Few moved, which I couldn’t be more happy for. So we can grind them to the ground in WvW.

Also 2v1 is so much fun, right? Even though we’re not even the biggest server in this match-up, such logical thinking, intriguing.

I have PvDoored at night, but it is pretty boring/I wouldn’t brag about it even though it doesn’t happen much. Some would enjoy it/brag of course, but in my experience they only show up when winning or doing well in our cases.

Just as some people on vabbi are bragging, not all, I know it’s hard to believe we have more then 3/4 people on our server but we do :P and I agree it is dull

Ahh but you see both of these numbers are true :P Yesterday LNA had a 5 man group, which is big for us. One of us decided to try SM where the 5 of us got both gates down with 1 ram on each one, at which point we called out in teamchat for people to come and help with lord. So really 5 of us did it but 8 people died to the FoW zerg

Guys I seriously don’t know why your moaning, we’ve done this before and honored the pact before it was broken, in a few weeks vabbi will be back to getting kicked in let people enjoy it, some people have been waiting months to get there completion and now they have a chance to get it People of vabbi are used to having +50 most of the time so of course there gonna be excited when there ticking more then that! Just chill, soon things will go back to normal and we’ll be your kicking dog again

Well this is interesting :L Imma just ignore this whole who’s fault it is and give props too blacktide for not coming on the forums to moan about how they were put in the kitten tier. Instead we got people arguing about who broke an alliance that everyone knows will never last, sorry to say :P I wish it would because I wanna get rid of you guys!

What kitten ed me off was that the guy posts these 3 commanders that don’t even command alot anymore. They actually try and get out of commanding by playing on alts, then they beg me to command if there isn’t already one.

I’ve did alot for vabbi, and never got credit or recognized for what I’ve done, thats fine, I didn’t ask for it, but when 3 other lazy kitten commanders get named and I don’t screw that, I’m gona kick up.

I was so tempted to ban the guy off teamspeak last night, would have made me feel alot better, but I’m not mean, or cruel. Annoyed for 15-30 mins after the post, not annoyed anymore, still tempted to ban him though :P, but I wont.

I don’t think generalising hybrid and Keep to be like me is fair on them They still do there fair share of commanding and yeah I don’t command as much anymore but for a good month maybe 2 I was commanding 10 hours a day everyday so i’m thinking I deserve a little break.

Your right luna not saying your name was an oversight on his part but rather then post on the forums about it why not ask him, he didn’t even mean it maliciously he just forgot a name, he rarely runs with the zerg so why should he know who commands the most.

This is gonna be my last post in this topic because I had to make a promise to chill down. :P

The reason for my “aggressive” tone and behaviour in this matchup is due to the sheer fact that I started GW2 on Fissure of Woe back in January. I joined AKP and stood by that guild until the day I transfered to Ruins of Surmia (April 1st). We did some WvW, took some towers, wiped a lot and had fun. At the time that was the only WvW experience I had and I enjoyed it a lot.

When the free transfer week came at the end of March, we were facing Arborstone. I was seriously considering to move to another server (my choices were either Gunnar’s Hold or Ruins of Surmia) to join a WvW oriented guild since I really enjoyed this mode, but my guild wasn’t organized in it at all and was only active during nights which was a no go for me since I had/have a job. Not to mention we wiped most of the time to the green server because of lack of organization. I still had fun, though, which made it harder for me to decide. I talked to my guild about it and, well.. they told me the same as YuGiOh is posting here; that we’re having fun despite the wipes, yadda yadda.

I transfered just 4 hours before the end of the free transfer week and that was the best decision I have made in GW2. Of course I had to leave my guild behind, but I met a lot of new friendly and active people here and learned a lot about WvW and individual builds for my elementalist that I hadn’t known before. My GW2 gaming experience just spiked up, both in a 1v1 environment as well as ZvZ.

That’s why I got kittened over YuGiOh’s comments about Vabbi having “fun” despite the wipes. I was brainwashed as well on FoW, they were saying the exact same thing and I held the very same opinion about FoW as YuGiOh has about Vabbi. Since I was on both servers, I can only say that you guys are missing out on a LOT. The WvW you know on Vabbi/FoW is nowhere near as enjoyable as you could have on a server with more coverage, more coordination and organization, more tactics and more room for improvement. Since all borderlands are the same for all servers and since Arena Net apparently just doesn’t care about tier 9, I really don’t understand why you guys insist on staying on the server when you could be in a higher tiered one playing as a group and developing your potentials as gw2 players.

As for RoS, the server is home to a lot of active, friendly and organized guilds (GoA, DeX, PG, VcY, RiOT, ELDa, CoNe, the newly formed IM, and many others), there rarely is a queue on any of the borderlands, the community also has temple and other PvE events, communication via teamspeak, etc. Perhaps you don’t want to change, but think of many other players who randomly chose FoW/Vabbi just like me as a starting server and would like to improve on their WvW experience and cannot because of Anet’s severe lack of interest in this tier (I’m sorry guys, but after 9 months of manslaughter and nothing being done about it, that’s a fact). As Stikko and Keith (since you said RiOT’s GL was on your server) probably pointed out, RoS is open for you to transfer to and they will also help you with that. If you are not interested and would like to stay despite all I’ve said, that’s fine. Just don’t brainwash the ones who are.

I know your trying too defuse the situation etc. but I feel you are being a bit hypocritical the fact you say “Just don’t brainwash the ones who are.” when in fact you are saying “GUYS WHAT HAPPENS ON VABBI AND FOW ISNT FUN WHAT WE DO IS!” just makes no sense, as i’ve read this topic I actually thought you was the blue people was talking about because you seem incredibly rude and seem a bit of a child but apparantly not Also I feel like you are blaming FoW and vabbi for trying there hardest and it just doesn’t seem fair on us anyways good luck next week!

Fantastic 8hr stalemate between Cliffside and Garrison today. Good job Vabbi, you sieged that tower up good! Disappeared a couple of times for an hour or so only to return and find things just as they were! No way we could get into your tower. About 6 commanders must have had a go.

We did manage in the end, but honestly it was only when (finally) the numbers were substantially in our favour so we could build a treb in open field to tackle your ballistas. If numbers had stayed close to even I don’t think we would have managed it.

Thanks a lot ^^ First time i’ve commanded for that long in a while! We got pretty close too garrison a few times but that treb of yours shut down everything inside :P Really good back and forth I hope we can carry it on again tomorrow!

Also i’d like too thank the people of vabbi who are staying with us and fighting through it! Truly it is a delight to command you guys ^^

I really dont call sitting in invulnerable areas dedication, i call that trying to get cheap kills. Maybe if these people that sit in these areas ventured out then we’d get a bit more of a fight out of this week. And everything isnt upgraded, leave your safe zones you might see that

I was there in T7 against RoS and I’m still on RoF now. We know very well that unless we put up our best it would be us who got sent to the trashcan. We got sent there anyway.

I’m saying we don’t want too move server because Vabbi is our server, we know that we wont win but just having fun is what we want I miss BT :’( Come back too us!

1. Reason is randomness. If you still haven’t educated yourself on the new system it’s your fault, don’t keep whining here on the forums about it.
2. The reason why Vabbi and FoW are so bad is because of the lack of numbers, not a lack of skill. So please keep your trashcan talk to yourself.

The reason is stupidity from the game devs and has nothing to do with me.

As for the players on Vabbi and FoW, they’ve had plenty of chances to move to ANY OTHER SERVER.

RoF does not belong in the trashcan. We are better than that.
