Hello everyone!

I am Jazz from The Right Trolls [JiVE] and I am lookin’ for a couple of people to fill our training raid run this weekend.

We are two experienced players, taking with us some guildies with no- or very little raid experience, so we don’t expect you to have any experience either!
We will be throwing rocks at the Vale Guardian!

If you are interested, here is some basic info:

• No previous raid experience required
• Have your character set up and ready to go, that means: Build, rotation, food, gear (Exotic is perfectly fine)
• Have Discord figured out. Either install it, or figure out how the browser version works beforehand. You aren’t required to talk (but you are encouraged to), only listen.
• Be patient and in good spirits! It is just a training raid, come with us to learn and practice.

We are in need of:

• Condi DPS
• Direct DPS (We are covered on warriors)

If you need help setting up your character, you can always check out raid builds on MetaBattle

The time is set to Saturday at 11:00am CEST so make sure you are online and ready to go at least 15 minutes before that, half an hour would be best.

With all due respect, if you need to ask how much scribing costs, you should not do it. It costs a very very large amount of gold.

I know well enough how much it costs, I’m just wondering if there is anything better to craft other than the Banquet Schematic at the moment.

What is the cheapest way to get my scribing from 50-75? I just can’t make out what would be most effective to craft, plus I don’t know the discovery recipes

Could anyone give me a hand?

Hello, fellow players!

A recent turn of events has left me in need of purchase of a new PC! So of course, I threw myself on the internet to do some research / figure out what I’ll get, only to realize that I’m technologically illiterate.

All these numbers and versions and what not, I can’t make sense out of any of it, so I come begging for help!

The heaviest thing I need a PC for is Guild Wars 2. Everything else I do on the PC only requires a little bit of ram. Most of it I can do on my tablet, while being a lazy kitten and staying in bed.

So without further ado; I need:

Budget: 800~900 EU / 900~1000 USD, but I wouldn’t cry if it was in the 700~800 EU range if it can do the job just as well/slightly worse.
I don’t need the monitor, mouse, keyboard, a DVD drive, Windows, or a big HDD (a small SSD just for my windows would do, I can use my old hard drive for everything else) but I do need a case and extra cooling fan(s) (It gets very hot where I live)

-A PC that will run Guild Wars 2 the best it can at given price
-Intel over AMD?

And that’s it? I think that’s it.

I love joining “Zerker only” groups on my non meta, non zerker Guardian, and then look at them gawk at how I can stand in all those AOEs and rez their downed butts.

So this started off as giggle, and quickly evolved into an ongoing joke. I was wondering how many can you guys share, so lets have some fun! I’ll start with a few basic ones, so get creative guys.

I really hate classes like sorcerer in Aion, so elementalist profession is out for me.

I think you should scrap your opinion on GW2 Elementalists by comparing them to “wizard” type classes in other games and try them out.

From what you described, you want a high DPS, risk taking class. Not much in the game can out damage a staff elementalist, but if staves and sitting in safe range isn’t what you’re looking for (it isn’t always that easy either), just take up any combination of daggers, scepter, or focus.
Think of it this way: a thief that uses elements.

You will be highly mobile, and since you’re sitting in close to mid range, your survivability will depend on your your positioning, dodging, and defensive skills. And when you can get downed in one hit, its very important to pay attention!
Having to master 20 spells in a weapon set instead of just 5 takes some time to learn too, but its very rewarding once you do!
(I actually leveled 2 elementalists before I learned the jist of them)

Breathing fire, making earthquakes or riding the lightning not exciting enough?
Grab a lightning hammer and bash everything into oblivion, it is that good.

In the end, I’m trying to sell you pancakes here, so here’s a TL:DR;
Elementalist are:
-high damage, high risk, very mobile
-bring a lot to the table for the group, from elemental weapons for more damage to heals
-having 20 skills per weapon set, you’ll constantly be switching between attunements and hitting keys. No sitting still!
-can summon elemental buddies when you get lonely
-want more weapons? A bow? Check. An axe? Check. Shield? Check. A kitten greatsword? Check!
-coolest class in the world? Yes.

So I’d say, its definitely worth giving them a chance! Just play around a bit and see if you like it, it only costs you a little bit of time.

Okay, so tomorrow I should get my (2nd) ranger to lvl 80 and get ma exotic gear.

Now, I’ll be getting zerkers armor, but I was wondering about accessories.
I was thinking, since I will be using sword+horn/torch and will be sitting in melee, I’ve noticed the sword 1 jumps often get me slapped in the face more then necessary. Even when its off auto-cast.

So! I was thinking about getting Valkyrie accessories but I’m horribad at theorycrafting, so I’m turning to you.

I’m not looking to get a lot more survivability, but I’m wondering if getting the accs valkyrie or another sat would make a difference, would it be noticable? And would it be a huge dps loss for just a tiny bit more health?

So after the crit nerf and whatnot, will getting zerker gear still be the best option?
I was wondering of maybe getting celestial, but I’m really bad at this sort of thing, what do you guys think?

Just follow the meta build (30/25/0/0/15), and if you’re uncomfortable with Zerker (due to inability to dodge during the learning process) slap a bit of Knights in.

But you’re fooling yourself if 3/6 Knight pieces are going to make any difference to your survival, go 6/6 if you’re struggling or learning.

I am currently using the meta build, and its not that I’m uncomfortable with zerker, I have no trouble with survival or anything like that, I’d just like to switch it a little, make use of a shield, or at least do something different for a little while.

So I’m too stupid to figure out a good build out myself, so I turn to you smart people.
I need a PvE build, NOT for any kind of PvP or WvWvW, something I can run in dungeons.

Here are things I’m looking for:

- Axe/shield/warhorn (I want to make use of a shield, axe can be replaced with a sword)
- NOT full zerker. I’m looking for something a bit more tankier, but not overdone, maybe 3/3 zerk/knight? (would toughness be better then vitality?)
- Shouts and banners if possible
- Who/what is kitten and why is it all over the forums?

So if someone could please help me out with gear, runes, sigils and traits I’d love them forever!

So I’m not the brightest person in the game, I don’t know all the terms and whatnot, I’ve been idle for a while and even before I didn’t do much dungeons.

But now with the group finder, I decided I’d get my hands onto some pretty armors.

Anyway, onto my question:

I’ve seen a lot of LFGs where they request you to have 5k ap, and I just assumed it was attack power or something, but with my warrior sitting in full zerkers stuff (no ascended) and not even hitting 4k it hit me, is it achievement points?

Am I missing something, what does the ‘AP’ stand for?
