You guys had us sandwiched a couple times last night, but nobody noticed!
We had a few successful defenses as well, but I think the most enjoyable keep fights were the ones where we ultimately got run over.
Keep it coming!
Kaineng (NoQQ)
He says it every fight. It’s like a good luck charm.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
Fun but rough night. We ran 9-12 people all night.
We got a few decent open field fights, a couple of successful defenses, and several that were doomed to failure.
Several times it ended badly ;-)
Grats to DR, man, you guys really brought it this weekend!

Just like to say, To NoQQ those tombstones were from me, Enjoy xD!
Thank you, SIR!

Visiting this again because I said I’d post some stuff from our perspective.
Thursday Night Fights!
We started the night in our own borderlands defending keeps.
After that turned blue, we were off to DR, where we started out by shamelessly zerging ENVY.
Right after that we ran off to Bay, which was under attack. We rushed over there without supplies trying to save it, and got trapped between the walls. We were able to set a portal down for iSpy, and fight off their attempt to wipe us in the yard. We eventually split, with NoQQ going to south gate and iSpy going to north, and took the keep back.
Afterwards, we ended up in and around the ruins, where we had several run-ins with ENVY, but those were kinda accidental. I remember a couple times one of their mesmers running in, dropping a portal on us, then moving on, and we’d have to split, half at portal, half chasing. We went after an arrow cart in there once and found them, etc. But we were really trying to find the DR group that kept trying to cap this keep.
We defended it three times, then I went into it to log, but went afk first. The next thing I knew, I was walking back into the office here and about 6-8 siege golems were running over me.
By the time I respawned the golems were missing, so we went off looking for them. At one point we were hitting a zerg from one side while apparently ENVY was on their back, and we met in the middle.
Eventually, though, we found the golems again!!
Sadly, it was late, and we made a couple of tactical errors in the ensuing chaos (not hammering the rezzers, etc), DR got Ferg’s keep back, and we had to bail.
At some point during the night, a PRO thief tossed a siege golem at us! Was that you, Darwin? Great stuff.
All in all a really fun night, with great fights everywhere.

@ Creslin:
I think it’s a matter of perspective here. I actually have vid of all three fights that I remember with you guys from tonight. Once we did zerg you, twice we just kinda ran across you not knowing what’s coming. We run two different types of groups, but definitely respect you guys.
We had 9 when we ran across you, BTW. You guys look like 30, with clones everywhere and kitten appearing and disappearing. Plus I don’t think we ever killed all of you even once. Good stuff.
I gotta get up for work in like 5 hours, but I’ll try to post something up tomorrow and you can see our perspective.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
I understand you guys have 3 times our numbers, so you have a good chance of winning anyway, but we’re still wanting to fight you guys even, 3:1. The fact that you NoQQ guys are still pulling little kitten tactics with that kinda ratio.. Have to say, I’ve honestly lost any form of respect I had for you guys. Man up.
Actually not sure what we did to even piss you off. You guys are almost impossible to kill, and have great timing backdooring us while we’re backdooring Dev.
Anyway…good luck I guess.

Dred has a lot of outrageous stuff to say. Really good for a laugh.
I temporarily benched my main and rolled a new, lvl 1 necro on reset and took it directly to WvW. I have no real idea how to play it, and frapsed a few fights this week in an effort to improve. These are not full-blown vids with music, etc, but I threw some online anyway so people can see how we run:
Skirmish at Ruins
Outnumbered and extending
Keep defense
Camp defense
Waterfront skirmish
Aside from me not being effective on Necro yet, this is pretty representative. If we can hit you from over a hill or around a corner, we will. If we have to cross ground, we’ll try to cover part of it in group stealth. We typically run 10-12 people, and are usually outnumbered. We aren’t going to do a Charge of the Light Brigade at the zerg. Nobody is abusing anything, and it helps a LOT that many people out there do not seem to pan.
We usually have like 2 thieves and 1-2 mesmers. We are heavy on Elms. Several people have a couple characters they switch between depending on mood and zerginess.
The funniest moment of the week was a PRO thief popping out of stealth, throwing a flame ram on our group, then disappearing again. It was hilarious, props to that guy.
Edit: Added one.

Not sure what you want SS’s of. I was just responding to Sirenic that you were repping PRO while arguing in map chat on Kain. And that you probably weren’t spying, since spying while flying enemy tags, while arguing with everyone in map would be…stupid. Which you seem to agree with in your post.
As I already said earlier in the thread, I’m glad PRO came down to this bracket. The pop balance seems fairly good now. It’ll never be perfect. And all these posts keep me entertained at work.
Side note: Of all the bigger DR guilds mentioned here, the one I find hardest to blindside hit and throw into confused panic is RED. But I never see them post.

@Shananigans.8412
@thenoobler.I’ll let Dred defend himself as he left the guild when he went to kains, he wanted a oceanic coverage. He then came back the next day and said Kain was nothing but rude, so I let him back into the guild… and then he transferred.
Well, the thing is, I was standing directly in front of the guy looking at his PRO tag on Kain. While he was trash talking the server, etc. I didn’t argue with him like some other guys, because…well…if this game is important enough for somebody to switch servers and nerdrage at the opponents, they need more help than I can provide.
Key point is he was in PRO, on Kain.
If he was spying, he’s not exactly a super-sleuth, since he was spamming map chat with flames. Besides, on a blue map, red attacks blue keeps, etc. It’s not so hard to find an enemy zerg on these tiny maps that you need an undercover op to locate them.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
True, but we are pretty weak during US weekday. Our couple groups will start running in an hour or so.
I think we’re strongest during US primetime (and SoS’s primetime when they are WvW’ing that night), but we definitely don’t have higher-tier style “coverage.”
Maybe someday!
Kaineng (NoQQ)
Well…everyone I know was at work….
Kaineng (NoQQ)
I honestly don’t think we got many transfers. I’m sure we got some individuals and such, but haven’t noticed any major new guild presence.
Maybe Dev has a lot of people pve’ing this week, as Kain did last week.
Remember that Dev and Kain were both expansions. I think a good portion of the player base on both servers is only now hitting 80 and getting into whatever end-game they choose. A lot of that in GW2 involves people coming to WvW.
I could always be mistaken about xfers, I’m not on every zone, etc, but I see the same commanders and guilds as before, and haven’t heard or read of any type of big transfer.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
Respect to PRO for:
1- Moving to a bottom server and not the top like lemmings
2- Impressive WvW presence
3- Ridding ranks of hackers
Kaineng (NoQQ)
It was a guardian with PRO tag, but we could not get the name (or rather we started trying too late). I do not believe he is representative of your guild, but with so many it’s hard to keep out bad apples.
Recommend you disperse into 20 10-man guilds to combat this issue.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
No ‘manipulation’ is needed. All three servers have ratings in the 700’s. The next lowest is in the low 1000’s. Nobody even in a COMPLETE blowout is going to get 300 points in a week. This matchup should continue for 3 weeks at least.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
No. Many Kain guilds took last week off for the event, as they posted in the last thread. I don’t know if they’ll all be back in WvW this week or not. It’s looking like maybe they will, though.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
Shout out to Ice Clan on Ferg. You guys are very disciplined.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
The Fubuki dismissal above compels me to post in this thread.
I transferred to Kaineng almost a month ago now. I am in a small 10 man guild that’s been together since the early days of DAoC, and we were so frustrated with the queues and not being able to play as a group on the higher ranked server we were on, we were practically ready to quit the game.
We came here on a Wednesday, and when we got here, Kaineng owned ONE CAMP. 10 people (rarely even all on at once) might not be able to do much, but we figured we could at least turn a few camps. Within a day, we met a similar 8 man guild that transferred in for the same reasons. Turns out we used to play against them in DAoC. We talked to another 8-man that we used to play against in a couple other games. They came to check it out. Word got around. I now know of 5 of these types of guilds/groups on Kaineng.
We all run around with between 1-2 groups, we are almost never in a zone where a commander is, we fight, we die, we repair, and we go back out to do it again. It’s all we do, and we do it every night. We love Kaineng because there are zero queues, we can switch zones, crash, come in late from work, whatever, and always hook up immediately with the group. The natives never quit, ever. There are very few hissy fits in chat. We roam, backdoor people on keeps, light up towers to draw response, and have a blast. Badges practically rain from the sky.
I don’t know how much these types of groups contribute to the overall win. Certainly not near as much as say the WAR alliance, who scours the zones for PvE’ers and gets them to participate. We don’t touch SoS and what they do to the score during their playtime. But we run around and have fun, and in the meantime take a ton of camps, towers, and the occasional keep. They get taken back, but these ticks all add up.
We don’t run with Fubuki, and he doesn’t know us from Adam. Despite that, every point we put on the board is attributable to Fubuki, because I can promise you that without his posts, Kaineng is NOT the server these people would have come to. It wasn’t even on the radar. The five groups mentioned above would be on different servers or gone from the game without his advertisement of Kaineng. Who even knows how many more people transferred here, individually or in small groups, that I have no idea about.
Whether the guy continues to blog or not, or even plays or not, he’s done a kittenload for the Kaineng server.

uh… not for the last few days no.
You keep it blue for a while until we can break all the fortified fully upgraded forts with siege in them.
…but you can keep thinking you’re amazing if you want
also, aren’t you the one that posts the screenshots from like 7am where the map is all blue?
Why argue about it? There’s a website to track this stuff.

You can see exactly who had what, when. Green got a huge, pop-driven lead on the weekend, and has subsequently held the income lead twice, briefly, since Monday. I don’t really care that much about the points, but MAN, almost every word Sniffy types is just made-up bullkitten.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
We ‘slingshotted’ from 24th to 23rd….
I can fully understand your righteous hatred of this unprecedented and unfair example of coattail-riding, ridiculously rapid advancement.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
Yeah, you caught me. Sharp cat. Been saving it up for two weeks, deviously waiting for Ferg to come back to bottom bracket with even less pop, just so I can hammer you with false pics.
My ‘tune’ was you can field more than 10, as can we, as can Dev.
Crashing, have fun breaking down my crazy anti-Ferg schemes while I sleep.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
Well…it was about 9 pm CST tonight. Whatever. We are a monster, zerging down all in our path.
Seriously, I’ve been on Kain 3 weeks, playing every night for about 3 hours in CST primetime, and have experienced exactly 2 queues. Both were on Fridays for our own borderlands.
There are definitely fewer Fergs than Borlis Pass. It seems like fewer of you this go-round than two weeks back. You still have Kain and Dev outnumbered, but not by that much, I don’t think.
Regardless, all three realms can field a 40 man zergball in primetime in at least one zone, Devona’s included. I see them every night.
Good luck to you.
Kaineng (NoQQ)
You’re right, Scooby. It’s all just bullkitten propaganda. Here we are outnumbering you 2-1 about an hour ago. Your side “has maybe 10.”
