I’m thinking about making a Mesmer, and wanted to know if a hybrid Mesmer build could still be viable for roaming?

I’ve found this old post ^^^ of a build which would be perfect with what ascended gear I have already crafted, but it’s over a year old and don’t know if it’s too out of date now. I’m just looking for some advice, on whether this build could be modified to still work with the current updates.

I can’t make up my mind, on which build I want to roam with. Basically the two builds which appeal to me are a ranger trapper or double kit condition engineer, I’ve put aside enough laurels and mats for ascended gear, and have both classes at lvl 80, but I can only really afford to invest into one.

Which one is more viable for solo roaming as that’s mainly what I will be doing, but I do occasionally duo with my bro, who’s a shatter Mesmer. Also which build in your own opinion is generally more fun to play. I’m just looking for some advice, from some veteran players who may have played both classes.

[Edit] So to summarize, if you had to pick one, which would be more appealing to you and why?

Mainly roaming but also some small scale support with some guild mates etc.

I’m looking for some advice on my celestial guardian that I’m in the process of completing. What I’m unsure about is runes, and which would compliment celestial stats best. The two runes that seem’s to make sense are either rune of divinity or rune of the traveler. But are there any better alternatives, and I know that its not meta, but it’s going to be a all rounder toon, which will be mainly used for WvW.

Also while i’m posting I would be interested if anyone has some builds for a celestial guardian that they could share, as there isn’t a great deal of info on builds for celestial stats. Again i know that it’s not meta, i just like the idea of having a multifunctional character, any help would be great!

So i’m looking for some advice on a good build, which could be used either for dungeons or for WvW/roaming. I haven’t got a great deal of experience as i have only been playing for a couple of months. so here’s my issue, last week i was lucky enough to get tequatl’s hoard, and at first i was well chuffed but i haven’t got a clue in what to do with it. At the moment i have 3 lvl80 characters being a warrior, engineer, and a mesmer, could any of them classes use this weapon in terms of a reliable build, as i won’t be getting an ascended weapon any time soon!
