I anticipate next weeks thread having no trolling whatsoever, FA and TC holding hands and singing, and DB cheering us on while they let us take over their whole borderland.

That might be more easily done if FA works to take the other half.

Also, my guys aren’t much into holding hands and singing songs. We’re far more primitive than that.

I also anticipate TC coming out strong.

Might I suggest that people who cry foul first confirm their suspicions with friends/guildies/etc. before looking like fools. Oh… don’t post exploits here, I think Anet has made it very clear that threads like this aren’t the place for them.

Also funny that the old school DBers aren’t talking any smack at all.

Interesting that this was posted around the time that GW2 turns six months old. What has happened since then? What has ANet done for those of us who have dedicated hours towards this one aspect of the game that we bought the game for? Fixed culling? /golfclap

These are all good suggestions, but I could make two more.

1. Be more forthcoming with what you plan to do. Don’t keep so much stuff a secret. In the event you decide to change things around, at least…

2. Give us a kitten public test server to try things out!

Nearly everyone on my server is bored. How much longer do we have to wait for real change to take place?

FYI… FA never asked anyone from IoJ to transfer there. We went on our own behest. TC, on the other hand, tries hard recruitment practices with anyone they can (including my guild).

You guys realise TC doesn’t operate as a collective hive mind, right? Conversely, I won’t say that everyone on FA goes onto other servers’ forums and knowingly takes WvW guides that do not belong to them and links them to their server buddies thinking they’re oh-so-smart and oh-so-sneaky!

I don’t know if TC operates as a collective hive mind, nor do I care, but you do have a 2 page thread with 43 responses dedicated to trying to take NNK from Dragonbrand on your server’s website from back when TC was in T3 that was just recently refreshed with conversation since DB might enter T2 at some point.

Yep and the bulk of the conversation was about DB itself and how their WvW guilds are solidly loyal to the server and there was no point pursuing any courtship … Rather a lot of admiration was expressed about their server loyalty actually.

But what has that got to do with FA copy/pasting WvW guides from TCs forums onto your own?

SoR is home to a few old allies. Anyone looking for a challenge in T1 should definitely consider them.

I can understand the principle behind the “error”, but this isn’t the way to solve the bot problem. Bots have and take all day to sell items… a simple error message followed by a waiting period won’t help anything. What it will do is frustrate people like me who trade items by the hundreds. This in addition to a clunky TP interface has me thinking that Anet doesn’t want us trading in high volumes at all.

Interesting fight’s so far. I’ve ran into FA more then SoS. Seems like a majority of FA are not lvl 80’s though? Just lvln alts or? Anyway regardless Glad to have gotten rid of blackgate it was a headache trying to go up against you guys. Truthfully Kaineng got lazy from steam rolling up in tiers. We were NOT ready for T2 when we got here. I think though we have all learned a lot and grew so hopefully we can give this another go and show our true potential? So far this matchup seems evenish. We are in the lead right now but I don’t pay much attn to weekend reset scores ^^. Things can change very much depending on everyone’s weekday coverage. ^^ Anyway good luck to FA and SOS. Also to the comment about ppl normally hating FA hopefully you guys wont feel necessary to be not so nice since we all are normally respectful ^^ Regardless Kaineng has heard it all though the tiers so its nothing we are not use too. Even back in T8 before transfers came in DR were not so kind haha.

We’re learning very quickly as well. As stated before, this might be a short visit to T2 for FA regardless how it pans out just based on the borked system Anet has decided to use. So far, we’re having a blast and learning a lot.

The few individuals who talk smack on these forums on behalf of FA aren’t representative of our true WvW culture; they’re just the bad apples in the bunch. Feel free to ignore them.

As JPSnow said, all zones have good coverage, but the coverage in some zones is a bit better than others.

Props to a great server. Anyone interested in joining a server with a competitive spirit and zero drama should consider FA.

CD aren’t weakening at all. They’re tenacious and fight with everything they have. It used to be that when CD were down in points, they’d pack it up. Now they fight to the end. Bravo, good sirs.

Blrrgh is on FA. Hel (formerly Totn) is now on SoR.

If anyone here was on IoJ during the last few weeks, they’d know why many left. Our NA crew was comprised of a handful of guilds and only perhaps a hundred players spread across all maps. We did the best we could with what we had, but eventually internal problems started developing not only within the community but also within guilds like mine. We learned how to fight under adverse conditions and became quite tactical and tenacious, and because of that we were able to field the highest PPT many nights, despite having three outmanned maps.

What other competitive server can do that? Only one that I can think of, and that’s why we’re there now. Despite what’s been said here, Fort Aspenwood is still Fort Aspenwood. The playstyle hasn’t changed, only the numbers have. In the end, it gave everyone a fighting chance (to say the least) and it brought our spirit back into the game.

There are many people out there unhappy with where they are and trying their best to improve their situation, as we had been doing over the last two months. To those who are there for the sake of your server and not for the sake of the win, I applaud you. Week after week of server loss and guild departure after departure takes its toll. I’m sure we can all relate to that.

I’m not sure if this has been brought up before and I don’t want to derail the discussion on the thread but the guild Primordial Dragons [DRGN] has been actively recruiting on FA in Lion’s Arch and all the WvW borderlands for the past 2 weeks. They are an IoJ guild actively recruiting on FA and trying to get players and guilds to transfer over. Seems a little low and is really giving IoJ a bad reputation over here on FA.

It’s good to see Mind Trick representing FA! I’m glad to see Talons and No Heroes have found a home on a respectable server.

Normally these threads start with scores, transition to in-game accusations and end with personal insults (with the occasional “Great fights on both sides!” thrown in for lulz). It’s nice to see some constructive posts as to how SoR and IoJ can work together.

There are MANY good players on SoR’s side. Seeing them for the first time in action against my server I was like “These guys must multiply like rabbits” because your NA guys were EVERYWHERE. It was hard for our small forces to gain any ground because many times we’d be quickly overwhelmed. Additionally, it seems SoR plays for the win and won’t make compromises with anyone to get there.

Combining the WvW forces of SoR with IoJ would make for a very competitive server. I know the history of the naming of Sanctum of Rall, and I’ve got nothing but respect for those who persist in its name. You guys fight as though you have his sword at your hilt and his spirit by your side. Having said that, and as already mentioned, it would be very tough to move our WvW forces from IoJ to SoR, simply because the Oceanic presence here in all aspects apart from WvW is one of the best in the game. This is the primary reason why our solid Oceanics stick around. Because of the relatively low numbers of people playing GW2 from that part of the world, it makes sense for them to congregate and hang together in order to develop a community.

If the WvW guilds on SoR decided to migrate to IoJ, we would welcome you with open arms (and I even know a few that would welcome you with open legs ). We know what it’s like to be in your position, to gain strong guilds and lose them in the middle of the week. We know how it is to fight unmanned. We’re as persistent, tactical, passionate, and dedicated as anyone, and we’ve held our own against tremendous odds. Your struggle to get to T2 wasn’t an easy one, and if it was done as a tribute to the man who bears the name of the server, then hats off to you.

As we might not be seeing each other in a few days’ time, keep it real and hang in there.

Was this taken at Redlake sometime early NA time last night? Near IoJ border?

We have been outmanned at NA times more often than not. We’ve gone up against BG’s tactics and SoR’s numbers and have held our own very well, despite our small presence. As I speak we are proving our point, beating SoR who vastly outnumbers us. We have a good community, good tactics, awesome commanders, and free beer.
