Speed buff isn’t working and hasn’t worked since the December 1st update. At this point I’d just like a response from the staff, since their have been multiple threads about this and multiple people reporting about it but so far only silence.

Side note: From asking around, I can confirm that no Pact leader speed effects work. The buff shows up and the speed lines show, but the actual ability of speeding up does not happen.

Confirmed. I started up the game with my thief and the Signet of Shadows (+25% movement speed) active in Lion’s Arch. Deactivating Signet of Shadows saw my character slow down to base movement speed instead of keeping sped up like it should have with Pact III.

Would like to see this fixed very quickly.

Missing Tyria mastery points [Merged]

Bumping this and getting it back on track…

I recently noticed that I was also missing Hero points. To be specific, I’m missing at least 12 of them, with all of them coming from the Hero tab and related to ‘completing story mission’ achievements for the different races. I’ll need others to confirm, but that might be a good place to start looking first.

Can't get into Lion's Arch

Was having the same problem, until I logged in as a different character that was outside of Lion’s arch, then doing the ‘character select’ off the log out menu and switching to a character inside lion’s arch. They then loaded in just fine.

This might be a temporary workaround, I don’t know. People who are still stuck, give this a try and see if it works for you.

Use the in-game reporting system to report any world bosses that cause crashing, as the devs are having a tough time pinning the bug down.

Red name reporting in, breaking my own rules…

I see the problems and discussed it today during a meeting with our collective important people in charge.

It’s no big secret that internally we can pop whatever boss we want, but that got me nowhere. So I dropped a guy on live and he’s been at every world boss today with …. no problems… :/

Escalating up the chain and hopefully after the hotfix that is coming “real soon now” we’re hopeful it will stop the disco/rollbacks.

Thank you. Just getting a response saying “We know this is an issue and we’re working on it” is nice, and really calms that feeling that we’re not just shouting into an empty void.

Is there anything further that we, as players, can do to help with this? (ex. reporting exact time, boss, server, user, etc. when crashes occur so that logs can be looked at and reviewed to pinpoint exact errors encountered?)

Note: Starting a new thread here, because all the threads I’ve seen on the subject so far have gone unanswered by Anet, and I’m lead to believe it’s because they didn’t follow “best practices”.

Description of Problem: After the defeat of any world boss, players will suddenly be disconnected with a message saying that they “lost connection with the server”, and will be booted back to the character selection screen. Upon selecting the character that was booted, they will find themselves back in Lion’s Arch near the “Trader’s Forum Waypoint”. The character will also be missing any loot that was received from the boss fight, as well as any experience and karma, as if they never participated in the fight at all. (herein referred to as “rollbacks”)

What’s more, this “rollback” effect also seems to affect players who did not participate in the boss fight at all, and were merely present on the map that the boss fight occurred on at the time. This can range from lost progress on map completion, to lost achievements if they just finished a jumping puzzle, alongside any loot that they happened to obtain before the rollback effect took place.

This only started happening as a result of the May 19th patch.

As a side note: There is rumor that this can be abused, as disconnecting players may be able to sell their items on the trading post, then find their inventories reset AND the items on the trading post as well, but this is unconfirmed.

Again, this post was created to adhere to the “Best Practices” sticky posted for this forum, and if another topic of the same type explains the issue better, feel free to close this one.

Multiple reports from multiple people on multiple maps.

ALL of them so far have been the world bosses. Anywhere from immediately to a minute or so following any of the World Boss defeats, people will randomly get rolled back, all credit and loot gone.

Note that this doesn’t even need to apply to anyone who’s actually fighting the bosses. I’ve gotten reports of people who were doing jumping puzzles in the maps the world bosses spawn in, only to suddenly lose their loot and progress and be warped back to Lion’s Arch once again.

I had just finished the Claw of Jormag fight when I got rolled back, though for some odd reason when fighting the Frozen maw later on, I didn’t get kicked, yet there were reports of some people around me who did.
