This post is a reply to those who complain about the new hero point requirements.
It has now been 18 hours since the launch of new expansion, and I have already unlocked everything in reaper – every skill and trait there is – for my necro through exploring the new content without guides to help. So I really dont understand why there’s so much whining here about the hero point requirements. Except that some people have been writing before they think or they actually didn’t even try the game themselves, or that some people just want to have everything without any effort.
It was fun and relatively quick to gather all the required hero points by running around and exploring the new areas. I’d even call it “playing the game”…. geez.
Remember It still is only the first night of expansion! So go spend some time ingame, enjoy the content and just relax, Have fun! You’ll get your hero points in no time.
:-)

Hey, everyone. We’ve been reading all your feedback about the Flamekissed Armor Skin that was released into the Gem Store yesterday.
Although the Flamekissed Armor uses the same mesh as the Tier 3 Human Cultural Armor, it was not our intention to create an armor skin that so closely matched the existing Tier 3 Human Cultural armor set. The intention was to use the mesh as a basis for creating an armor set that stands apart and is distinct in appearance. However, after reading your feedback, we agree that the Flamekissed armor is not visually distinct enough from Human Cultural Tier 3 armor. We will do a few things to address this issue.
- We will temporarily remove Flamekissed Armor Skin from the Gem Store.
- Players who have purchased Flamekissed Armor Skin will keep the skin.
- We will make new art for the Flamekissed Armor Skin that achieves our goal of making a visually distinct and attractive armor set and does not closely resemble the Human Tier 3 Cultural armor.
- Once this new artwork is completed, we will then update the Flamekissed Armor Skin so that all existing sets that players have purchased get the new art. We will also offer the Flamekissed Armor Skin for sale again at that time.
- When we update the Flamekissed Armor Skins with the new artwork, any player that has already purchased the set and who does not like the new, updated look, can get a full refund by contacting Customer Support.
Note that there is no ETA on when this change will happen. We need to work with the Character Art Team to determine when we can have a new armor skin ready, and this could take some time.
Thank you everyone for providing your feedback. We appreciate that you took the time to let us know how you feel about the new armor set.
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU REGINA <3
I could never have hoped a better response, not even in my wildest dreams!
as I wrote previously
“(I have been paying them monthly for gems because I loved what they do and how they listen us, respect us and respond to us)”
If this fix really happens, I will most gladly continue my loving support as a paying customer to you!
To be honest I do not know a company which better listens to its community. I know it can be seriously hard sometimes when everyone has something more or less important to complain about. And I often feel sorry for that you need to read a lot of needless and non-constructive aggressive feedback. That’s why I have been staying away from the forums before, But this really was an issue that conflicted with the core idea of the game (visual progression). *And with your quick and unbelievably respectful response you have my respect (and continuing support) back! *
Love <3

maybe i’m just an old-timer…but does anyone else remember way back at launch when people were transmuting cultural armors several times and were able to equip them different races then the ones intended? Then ANET made a REALLY BIG DEAL about it and said that it was unintended and cultural armor was designed to create more diversity among the races. and then you know what they went ahead and did….THEY SOMEHOW FOUND A WAY TO ROLLBACK ALL THOSE CULTURAL ARMORS AND REMOVE THEM FROM THE GAME!!!! Maybe somebody from the Dev team took notes that day and can recall when, how, and WHY said incident occured and was resolved….but who remembers those olden days anyway…
Thank you so much for this post! I did not know that happened.
You gave me some hope. (I lost it all yesterday)
If rollback would happen, I would continue my support for Anet (I have been paying them monthly for gems because I loved what they do and how they listen us, respect us and respond to us)
What happened yesterday, disgusting and disrespectful actions they did, and with the post deleting today I lost both my faith and respect in them. As a year-long supporter and human cultural tier3 light+medium owner I really got kicked in the face. Only something like a total rollback or total refund and respectful response would get me (and my wallet) back… But I don’t have high hopes. I’m already looking for other games and companies to use my money and time in.
Now that Anet lost my trust, I don’t see any reason to continue working on my legendary skin. Reskinned version of it will be for sale in the gemstore in a couple months.
Honestly. This is my first post on these forums. And First time to log in to forums. Also This is the first time in the history of GW2 that I really feel I lost my will to play this game.
(been playing since launch and for a couple thousand hours if someone is interested.)
I did work long and hard for my cultural tier 3 cloth set…
Everything was awesome and fine, and I was farming money for my legendary for 10+ hours a day this and last week – until I saw this fiery fersion of my tier 3 set being buyable for 10 euros on the gemstore and for every race. (I made my characters human only because I wanted that set..) On top of that, it looks a bit cooler than my T3…
Quickly I realized that I feel I don’t have any reason to continue working on my legendary weaponskin either… I can no longer trust that it would stay exclusive. So would be stupid of me to continue using my time for that. I’ll just switch a game.
No more gem buys from this account It seems. Oh well, I supported you (GW2) too much already anyways.
