Not sure if [Holy] from NSP is a PvX guild or WvW guild but come on guys, step outside the comfort zone and actually engage in a 1v1 instead of running away till you are able to 3v1.
Also thankyou to XOXO, Os and Holy for not being the /laugh sort when I try to 1v3 you guys, I die everytime but eh, I copped a /bow which was nice.

Yeah… about that… If WvW came down to pure skill, IoJ would be in tier 9 EU while NSP would be top 3. Every big server we’ve been up against, we keep wiping you. Over and over again. With fewer numbers.
Yet. You try again.
And again.
And again.Yeah, eventually you might get our keep or tower, but how does it feel, being 50 taking it from 10 people defending it? (If you’re even able to cap).
If we have close to equal numbers, you guys can’t do jack.
I don’t recall ever being particularly impressed by any players or groups with an [AS] tag. I guess I must have never seen you, because you guys sure sound impressive.
Im not just talking about AS. But yes, we are good. If you haven’t seen us, you just haven’t seen us when we are running structured. We tend to run outside the massive blobs.
But we really don’t care if people notice us or not. Makes it easier for us to get stuff done
NSP by far has the worst roamers I have EVER seen, atleast completely inferior in every aspect to the average IoJ roamer. We completely demolish your zergs with equal numbers in open field. Also about that remark about being able to hold something with 10 people, a keep no less. A keep can hold 1700 supply, now thats more then enough to build 5+ arrow carts for every gate, and conveniently for the red corner overlook is by far the easiest keep to defend with the elevation and the fact that there are only 2 inner gates (blue keep has 3) makes it even more so easier to defend. So its nothing that great to brag about honestly especially since you end up losing the keeps in the end anyways. Now if you were to say wipe a zerg of 50 IoJ’ers (which will never happen since we’re better then you and we can’t field 50 people like NSP can) with 10 people in open field then that would certainly be something to brag about.
TL;DR
IoJ > NSP

And I agree about being amazed at some peoples’ abilities in WvW/PvP. Maybe this makes me a noob, but it seems like every night there’s a couple people that just blow me away with their reactions or innovation or perception. Tonight it was an asura engi from [Solo]. You beat me straight up, whoever you are. I hope you don’t mind that I ran away before you staked me, but the victory was clearly yours. I’d like to fight you again, though; there’s a few things I’d do differently next time. PM me if you’re ineterested, I’m usually available if I’m not doing something important and I’m always looking to learn.
You were the sylvari mesmer at the ruins, right? If so, great fight, that one went on for quite a while and was the most fun 1v1 of the night for me. I had alot of help from that wall in the ruins for LOS.
I normally run support/heals on my norn engi for our SPCA groups, but if you see me on the asura running my SOLO tag, flag me down and we can go another few rounds. I’m pretty sure I’ll see you out there again sometime.
Side note erm question.. Does your water field always work on your Healing Turret? Mine seems 50/50 if HT makes a water field or not, maybe I’m doing something wrong tho :p
They recently (or semi recently) changed the way healing turret works. Now, it only does a water field when it “activates.” Meaning, when you see it start twirling, splode it for extra healing.
The timing on healing turret has always been quirky – in the past it gave you a 1 second water field when dropped, and now, as Tuluum mentioned, you have to wait for the activation/overcharge to get a 3 second water field.
General rule of thumb: mash your heal, you want to get that overcharge right after you drop the turret. Wait one second, then detonate. Sometimes if i am cc’ed right after dropping I can’t get the overcharge right away, and it’s a pain since you have to wait for the turret to refresh it’s regen (it’s like built in skill lag – awesome). The only guarantee you have to get the water field right when you need it is when you first place the turret.
