Hey, guys. I’ve been running Illusionary Elasticity in pvp since the September update, and have been having moderate success with it and staff-clone spam. Here is—roughly—my build:

The trinket is Rabid, the runes Undead. Staff’s sigils are Agony and Earth. Scepter is Energy and Leeching.

My basic idea was to stack condition damage and toughness, and turn (with Chaotic Transference and Undead Runes) toughness into condition damage, hoping for significant synergy between damage and survivability there. My question for those more experienced in mes pvp is this: is it insane to not get a 6pt trait? I chose two 5pt ones instead. It seems to be working, but feels… Wrong? Chaotic Transference I mentioned, but Confusing Combatants seems to synergize with Master of Misdirection and Debilitating Dissipation well. Any advice from someone with experience will be greatly appreciated. Also, any critiques or pr0 tips will be appreciated as well.

Slightly related question: I read but have not confirmed that Compounding Power does not affect condition damage, or clone-condition damage. Is this true? This is why I have opted for Master of Misdirection in its place.

Yeah, this kind of broke my heart when it wasn’t fixed in the April 15 patch, so I’d be really happy if they something about it now. As you’ve pointed out, it’s been mentioned and seems to be intended for a fix, but we’ll see. I’m not getting my hopes up.

GW2 has lately been experiencing what’s called DDoS attacks…

I even heard that WoW is having issues with them as well, but don’t know first hand. So, while it’s frustrating, it’s not really their fault.I have run out of things to say so
