This will be like the first season of PVP, when all the pve peasants started to grind the tracks…

No offense, but pve players can ruin the experience… they did on pvp and they might do it in wvw….

I still see a lot of the basic error… going for 3rd cap after getting 2 controlled points…

But major problem is the lack of communication before the match starts and during the match… it seems everybody is a Rambo and that can win 1 v 3…

and I saw some kittenty moves… A thief bunkering home during all march, and on team fights dancing in the middle of aoes and going down in seconds…

There’s absolutely nothing that Anet can do to remove whining.

Funny thing, on the Overwatch forums at launch, you could see the exact same threads as on this forum: nerf x, matchmaking is kitten, let us have soloQ, I’m on a x losing streak, class stacking etc. Most of the PvP process is done better there: from balance to matchmaking, not including extra features like avoiding or preferring players and the option to play with the same players after a match is over.

But people still complain. You can’t win.

The only good part is that you can weed out the obvious liars and bad players from the complaints – all your individual statistics are public as shown here.(I know I’m a scrub)

If we’d have something like this for ranked, added with some match statistics, you’d know how many of those complaints are valid or coming from experienced players.

TL;DR: People will complain no matter what, with some player and internal statistics at least we’d know who to ignore.

we have something similar with gw2efficiency. great app that lets you analyse several stuff from your account.

the question here is to implement simple stuff that can make the pvp ranked matches a better experience, and that on medium/ long run, can actually increase the pvp population by separating all the causual/pve grinding players from medium/good/great pvp players that know the basic of rotations, targeting.

ps: please add your sugesttions that can improve pvp.

ps2: ANET please consider to test on S4 the requirement of 1 single profession per team. IMO this would mean more fun matches and more balanced matchmaking.

Hi all,

Hey PVP team, this one is for you!! You want people stop kittening about bad matchmaking? you wanna people stop kittening about bad team players???

the solution is easy, you probably know this but wont implement because it will make ranked seasons with longer queue times, nevertheless, I would prefer to wait a few more minutes instead of a another regular bad pvp experience.

solution:

1) Put the kitten pvp backpack on unranked also. The pve players who love shinny stuff will for sure queue for unranked because its easier and they can grind that kitten like clearing a map in pve.

2) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD please make matchmaking only counts 1 profession per team. Why?? Simple, since you cant find a balance stage for all classes, and all seasons there is 1 or 2 classes much better than the rest, this would prevent running 3 players with the same class. Im talking about the DH on s1, the bunker mes on s1, the necros on s2, and now on s3 you started with the warriors. This is just stupid.

3) You gonna say, kitten this, this will increase queue times. Yes it will. Solution?? Make the kitten pvp area better with simple solutions to burn time: a big arena that you can enter and fight other players while you wait, crafting stations so people can do some money. Also make queueing for ranked matches possible from all maps (probably except raids and fractals).

These are simple solutions.

there is tons of posts like this, we should start focusing our efforts and try to make a better experience for the pvp community, less kittening, more talking about solutions.

If even wvw players got what they want (including myself on this), why cant we also push pvp team to get what we want?

To be honest, that another important question… but it can be “avoided” by changing toons at the end of the match (when u see its gonna be a clear win).

there are to many issues to be adress with this pvp league…

I hope ANET is keeping track of everything, at least they can solve the basic problems for the next season and gives a better experience….

Hi all!

I would like to propose to remove the daily rewards from the pvp ranked matches! Make them exclusive for unranked matches!

How many of us have seen players on ranked matches rolling a toon saying that "I’m doing my daily, and we go with 3 thieves or 3 eles or whatever! Dont need to know that the match is gonna be a lost pip!

We need to make the pvp league a spot for “real” pvp players, the ones that fight for prestige and not a spot for pve players that like to gring everything!

Anet should starting working on new rules for ranked matches, or else this all pvp league is going down the drain before it has 1 year old…

1) Players would have the possibility to swap classes, but the game wouldnt allow more than 1 profession per team

2) of course queue times will increase for solo queue, but we all have seen that the majority of players prefer to have more balance matches, with fair win chances, than get kittened by an entire team.

All opinions are valid, we just need feedback from players and more suggestions.

Dear Anet and PVP community!

I am sure that are already some post with similar content with my post, but since the latest posts is all about destruct content and not giving solutions for the next season, why we dont focus to give ANET want we want for the next season??

I’ll point just 2 things that I would like to see on next season that would probably benefit all:

1) the matching would work in order to make a 5 team with all the players playing different professions. Would this result in bigger queues? Probably yes, but at least you would “minimize” your next meta mistake with the nerf of 1 class (last season was revs and bunker mesm, this season are eles and necros). The players could always swap between them to make it the arrangement that they prefer, but only 1 profession per team. I believe this could balance a lot the season, like we see on the tournements.

2) 4 – 5 player teams would compete among each other. No doubt that the majority of 4 – 5 full premade teams shouldnt compete with pugs or with other groups of 2 – 3 players. this would avoid those kitten train wrecks that we all see.

This are my 2 suggestions!

Ps: like the tittle of the post says, Anet you should keep it simple and minimize your work by listenning what the majority of the players ask for and try to delivery them what they want.

CD faces very hard times…

I was one of the players that transfered recently to T1, since wvw on CD is pure pain… it is hard for NA players and even harder for EU players (like me), since during that time the unbalanced number of players from each server on the map was insane…

I can´t lie that I had good moments on CD with outnumbered fights and nice small scale zerg fights, but having a reset night with less than 15 people on tag is just pain.

In order for me to continue playing GW2, I had to transfer since wvw (and some pvp) are the only things I do… it was that or start playing another game, so I decided to transfer.

Nevertheless, I hope that some simple changes on WVW can make the difference and the server can rise again.

I already made my top, but I forgot 1 that really is important in my oppinion,

→ If pve players can get acess to ascended gear, WVW players should also be able to do it with the badges and the proofs of heroics.

Regarding the proofs of heroics, make them account bound and a currency of wvw. It is stupid to stack stack stck these proofs if we play mostly only 1 toon.

Make them a currency and able to buy ascended gear and weapons with it.

WVW Pplayers should be treated like pve players!!

I propose everyone keep this thread clean and short, so the Devs that already said that are following this post can actually gather info, so:

1) Bring stability buff back to the old times (no stacking). This improves the fighting.
2) Bring the old Alpine map (use the new map like EOTM (a playground for leveling up toons)
3) Reward tracks (like pvp). WVW population has been ignored for so long, a simple add like this would make us believe that you still care and have a little faith in you.
4) Get ascended armor with wvw currency. several players on GW2 only play this game mode and they should also be able to have acess to this shinnies (not even talking about legendary backpiece that appeared only for pve and pvp players)
5) MAKE IT HAPPEN. dont just tell us that you are working on it! Communicate with the wvw players, present them the easy stuff and can easly be added (like rewards tracks and the old map). I believe that if you do this you will prevent a massive exodus to other games that are around the corner “coff coff” (BD and ESO).

To PVP Devs (or should I say Pve devs, since I presume that GW2 now is moving towards to be a pve game…) I would like to ask if you guys are back from your vacations and if you intend to do something…

your buffs on necro are just stupid… now we have matches of PVP with 8 necros…

this scenario is very often and it kills the experience of pvp…

why dont you think about in only permiting 1 player of 1 profession for each team? think about it when you start working on pvp, because right now you guys must be occupied in launching some new wings for the gem store!! <3

WvW dose have a reward track it is rank up keep in mind there more going on then just the chest and at one point it was a wanted thing to rank up but once made account bound (ppl wanted this) it become less relevant. Think of it from a point of view of a new player who has no to low rank each rank up is a major thing. You do not want to add too much rewards in wvw or you will have wvw as a pure pve event cutting down on the fighting the real aim of wvw.

The game is about playing with other ppl more so with wvw you should not be rewarded to much for staying away from other ppl.

Dude just in case you didnt enter on Wvw maps on the past months… besides high tier servers, they are erh…. A DESERT!!!

Wake up, just dont do tequal 1 day, log into wvw and check the maps!!!

the reward tracks would be an incentive to more players join wvw!!

why should PVE and PVP be reward with nice coin, skins and all type of currency that you can use, but on wvw you only receive some miserable badges???

With this post I’m trying to say that Anet should consider to take 1 step backwards in order to give 2 steps forward!!

Hello Anet!!

I would like to ask you if you are still “working” on bringing wvw back or is your plan to “mask” up the current situation with the brilliant new changes that you will bring to wvw “this year”.

Do you intend to do some real stuff or will you continue to work on nonless updates that will continue to harm the wvw players?

Have you not learned with the mistakes in the past?? The solution is simple… listen to the feedback from wvw players… their oppion is what is matters, not the suggestions of a team of Devs that is in a room thiking that they will make a huge big change on wvw, for better, when most of the times they are walking into the #“#$%%&&”#$$.

GW2 is day after day loosing wvw players, if your plan is to stick with only pve and pvp (that has also problems, but not gonna talk about them here) you are going on the right way.

Im just gonna leave some simple solutions, so you cant simple say “you guys only complain, you dont want to make part of the solution”:

1) – Too many servers for low wvw Population: Only T1_ T2 and T3 have enough wvw players to make worth play wvw.

2) Bring old BLs back: the old maps had the perfect design for roaming, capping objectives and group fights. The new BLs are a Joke for real wvw players (bad design for group fights, &%$#$%& pve events ? and the map is not straitgh forward for new players that want to learn it.

3) You killed small wvw guilds with the Guild Hall upgrades. Small guilds used to count a little bit on wvw, but now, with all the &$ upgrades that are necessary, big guilds have a big advantage (banners, +5 on camps).

4) If PVE and PVP have reward tracks, why not wvw? do you think that the “miserable” rank up chest is worthy?? make wvw more attractive with rewards and you will see mor people on maps

5) make the outnumbered buff better: this will help low pop server a little bit, while you are working on a better solution for the population problems

After the 23 June Patch is almost impossible to play…

I take around 10m to load in every map I swap… after that the games takes forever to load the info, objects, other players, etc…

On wvw, its almost impossible to port between maps because it is impossible to keep up with out is happening!

Anet please fix this, or else you will start to loose gamers, not to mention the sales for the next expansion!!!
