This living story concept is a very poor mechanic, what happens to some one that bought the game today and gets caught on this living story “thing”????
That person wont know 99% of whats going on and if he/she wants to find out or “play” the content that occured months ago the player wont be able to do it and will eventualy lose interest in the game period.
I personaly know a couple of people that just stoped playing the game because of this.
The name of the game lost its meaning long ago…. " Guild Wars" – the name suggest that its based on Wars….. between Guilds…. GuildWars 2 doesnt even gets close to actually encourage wars between guilds.
I currently have 2 character there, a lvl 1 thief and a lvl 40 engineer, the thief is sent to the previous chapter ( Defense of Shaemoor ) and the engineer is sent to the previous location ( Divinity Reach ).
Plus, the engineer gets a message after doing a relog when i get stuck in queensdale, " The Waypoint you selected to has become contested and you have been redirected to the closest friendly point" … ???? i dont understand…
I just logged in after the launcher downloaded some data, and for some reason i cant go in queensdale with any of my characters, it doesnt go beyond the loading screen and it stays there indefinitly.
Almost all my characters are in that state and i wont travel there with any other character because im afraid they get stuck like the others… I tryed other areas and its ok, they load properly but on Queensdale they get stuck…
