As far as I’m aware this game is still running on a 32 bit client. That said you can very easily download a torrent copy of Win7 32 bit (though I’m unsure why ur disk doesn’t include 32 bit also). Since you actually own a legit copy of windows you should be able to activate it with ur current key and I believe ur within ur usage right so ur not breaking any laws here.

If you bought the game from anet you will get a refund for the base game when you buy HOT. If not then I suggest you get a hold of ur retailer.
This game is CPU dependent and its not coded to use multiple cores. That CPU you are using is the reason for your low performance. Yes it has 8 cores but each core is clocked very low and have very poor individual performance. A tip almost all MMOs are heavily reliant on your CPU vs your GPU.
I have a Naga myself, are you using the synapse software it comes with? If not, then you should so you can rebind your keys on the mouse. Otherwise, all I can tell you is I’m not experiencing the same issue, check ur warranty with razer (this mouse has a 1 year warranty I think) your mouse may be defective.

Also this has nothing to do with the problem here.

I am just here to tell you that this thread is blowing up among gaming communities. There isnt much longevity for maxwell architecture.

I tend not to believe anything that comes out of reddit. I did my own research and reddit has once again confirmed that it is full of misinformed over reacting trolls. The issue they are all up in arms about is based on a back n forth between NVIDIA n a game developer. Long story short some benchmarking site thought it was a good idea to run benchmarks on the first DX12 game available IN ALPHA stage.. in said benchmark NVIDIA didn’t perform as expected. 1 unfinished game.. benchmark.. n reddit is up in arms.
So.. just and update.. disabling virtual memory extended the time I can play before I crash. Same error… every other game works fine.. anet is there a solution to this???
I don’t want to sing VICTORY yet.. but I’ve made it past 15 minutes without crashing yet.. Seems.. that Chris Cleary may be right and disabling Virtual Memory works.. but WHY?! Well, I’ll check back in in a bit and update on this status.
And because I’m a sucker for pain.. I tried again.. this time I didn’t even make it past the first load screen.

Though the most common issue would be “could not read memory <address>” or something similar. I ran the memory diagnostic and found no issues so.. I proceeded to throw everything at the wall. I removed all my OC’s, reintalled windows, tried using different ram, yelling at my PC, cursing ANet and even punching my PC. Nothing worked. I think Anet broke something, they are just blaming Win 10 for it. I’m running a 970 card here but GW 2 doesn’t even use DX12 so that can’t even be the issue.
I can tell you for a fact it’s not related to Windows 10. I own 3 PC’s all of which have Windows 10 and two of which are running the game fine. My gaming PC however keeps crashing with “Serious Error” consistently.
I ran a full diagnostic on my PC and found 0 issues, other games work fine FFXIV, BF4, and Witcher 3 to name a few. The issue is isolated to this one game.
I’ve been looking around the forums and some people are suggesting this is an issue with newer EVGA cards (980/970) but that doesn’t seem to apply in your case. Some solutions people have suggested have involved underclocking your GPU or removing any overclocks you may currently be running. However none of these have worked for me so far..

Just throwing this out there.. I’m having a similar problem with the 970. Below I posted the last crash BUT it seems to be different every time. After a string of BSODs I opted to do the following.
Remove all my OC’s, try different ram, re-install windows and the game… The game is no longer giving me BSOD but it’s crashing every very often and it’s annoying. Below is the log from the last error, which is also the most common one.. one of many.

I will post pictures of our trip later on today, (shadow play failed me and I was unable to record it) as I am on currently posting this on my phone. After 35 deaths, 10 levels gained and with the help of curious onlookers we eventually made it to Malchors Leap where it was rl responsibilities and sleepyness (1:30 am) that made us stop.
After completing the hour and a half trek someone said “Where is my achievement?!”. Thus the point of this thread, HOW IS THIS NOT an achievement already?!?
Also, I would like the guilds to show us how far you can get in quaggan costumes! Record it and link it below. We will be attempting a second run with a WORKING video recorder some time this week and will be posting the video.
Also lets note ???? a few rules to make the trek interesting.
1. Must be on a Level 1 character at start.
2. Starting area should be metrica province.
3. You must pass thru Queensdale.
4. Remain in quaggan costume at all times, if killed put on costume when you come back to life.
5. Gently urge local passerbys to aid you in your quest.
6. Have fun!
If you and your friends never trash talk each other in real life, then that’s your prerogative but I find it funny and enjoyable to do so when competing.
So, when someone say to you in a game: “choke in your blood and die”, is funny and enjoyable? Well, I guess I am out of here. And if you never heard things like that in a game I am pretty sure you have’nt played enough of them, hahahaha (I would be jealous if that’s the case).
On the guild side of the discussion, I do agree that they could implement something to do with them (after all the game is called GUILD wars), since there’s no real reason to be in a guild except to talk with people.
EDIT: though since HoT is to be released and there’s promising content coming I think we should just wait a bit to see how things go.
I would never say something like that to a friend. However did you report his person? did you block him? did you kick him out of the dungeon (if you where in one) ? You have options, I don’t think that kind of talk is ok but personally I understand the internet and the mentality since I pretty much grew up in it. I know that person is simply saying the most outrageous thing he/she can because well it’s the internet. Question is how much should I allow this person to affect my day? Reporting and blocking takes maybe a minute..
Trash talking is normal and we should have a thick skin about it? Um, ok. I mean, I do have a thick skin. Through years of MMOing I’ve had people try to insult me, usually hysterically wide of the mark. I recognize the puerile thrashing for what it is, and really, to really sting there has to be some kernel of truth in the insult. I still giggle years later about the person who called me a “fat sow” in one game. Well, they got the gender right … I prefer being nice to people, helping them enjoy life more. I’m no saint, and I don’t always succeed in hiding my frustrations with others, but I do my best to avoid cutting remarks and to compliment even those I despise for the things about them I admire. I apply the same rules to online interactions. I don’t like people being nasty to me or my friends, why would I invite such nastiness by fomenting my own?
The thing is, just because a lot of people are (feline filter words here) to each other, and more so from the perceived anonymity of the internet, doesn’t mean we should put up with it and especially not that we should embrace it. Civilized behavior has to be trained into people, both into individuals and into cultures.
The Golden Rule predates Ancient Greece, though the Greeks made it a common concept. Millennia later, a lot of humans still struggle with it. Hurray for ANet for helping make it less of a struggle.
And everything you just said is great, it shows that you are a mature adult capable of managing his/her emotions. However, a single person anecdote does not a “golden rule” make. Fact is trolls exists for the reasons you stated and, no, I never said you had to put up with it. You have options to handle it you can block, report or close your chat box. Anet shouldn’t be a babysitter for adults playing an online game, their job is to make sure we have the tools and options available to handle it/or not. Personally I find this whole “kitten” thing pretty stupid.. who here hasn’t ever heard a curse word? In game they give us the option to have a profanity filter yet the forums.. now that a different story.
I don’t get your point of “hardcore” player. So a hardcore player is the one that talk trash in open world after something he doesn’t like happens? And that is not childish? Or is the one who runs multiple dungeons with friends for hours? If it’s the first I am happy that there isn’t such a thing in GW2, and if it is the second there’s plenty of those in GW2. Also, the sPVP and WvW offers challenging content. I play MMOs for over 10 years now, I played many titles from many companys, all of those were exactly like the OP described. You know what happened to them? I don’t even have to say it because you already know.
The point stands. The player base of GW2 like the way this game was designed. They like it peaceful, and the cooperative style of play, so why would ANET change it? You don’t need trash talk in a game. Games are supposed to bring fun, not hatred. I wouldn’t spend my free time with something that brings hatefulness to my life. It’s just not a smart thing to do. Why do you think GW2 is not competitive? What about sPVP? What about WvW? Isn’t that enough competition? Why do you think it doesn’t allow “hardcore” players? What IS a hardcore player to you? Why the game has to allow you to kill random ppl in open world to make them trash talk back to you? HOW is this a positive and a good thing anyone would like to see? It happens IRL? OH! Suprise! This is a game: people play it because they want more then real life, otherwise they would probably be riding. And don’t forget, when things like that happens in real life, we are pretty much talking about crimes.
Hardcore player is someone who likes competition, who plays hours, who likes to complete the game and who enjoys challenging content not necessarily someone who says obscenities for the sake of it. Trash talking is very different from being a troll or being obscene, it’s about friendly rivalry that makes the game fun to play. Now I agree that someone being rude is childish but so are you for being so wound up about it, ignore it let children argue with children (they understand each other). I never said anything in regards to everything else you are stating in fact I agree with you in parts of it.
sPVP is for a hardcore player the ultimate test of his “skills” as it is you don’t have any handicaps or advantages for simply being around longer. This is a point with which I disagree with the OP if he considers himself a HC player this should be something he likes.
I don’t particularly care for PvP and there are hardcore players who never touch it. PVE content can cater to hardcore players by being challenging, requiring real teamwork and rewarding completion with real meaningful items. That wouldn’t change the state of World Events which I find perfect as they are. As a casual player you wouldn’t have to touch hardcore dungeons if you chose not to but HC players would and get rewarded. It’s not that difficult to understand if you get out of this little overprotective bubble. The fact is GW2 offers no competitive PVE content, guilds in this game simply exists for the hell of it. In games like FFXIV guilds have rivalries where they compete on clearing difficult dungeon/raids and grinds first. This gives guilds more meaning and give people a sense of belonging. It actually makes you want to “represent” your guild.
I agree that PVE killing shouldn’t be allowed it’s frustrating and it’s Troll heaven.,. BUT a happy medium is allowing players to accept duel requests. See that’s not hard, if you want to fight go ahead if not then don’t. This is what I mean by being completely dismissive of others ideas. You never even thought of this as a solution, you merely went on a rant of the bad parts of PVE “killing”.
No one is talking about murder here.. it’s a game ultimately. I’m referring to trash talking in real life, please tell me you can make that distinction and not pursue a red herring argument. If you and your friends never trash talk each other in real life, then that’s your perrogative but I find it funny and enjoyable to do so when competing.
(edited by Jourgound Meister.8561)
Acutally, a normal adult in everyday life would avoid this kind of trash talking altogether, and that’s what ANET did with GW2 thankfully. And do notice that the community is not being passive agressive since the point: there’s hundreds upon hundreds of MMOs out there that work just like the OP wants, but he/she comes to the single one that isn’t and say it should be like the others. Pls, tell me how the community is wrong here?
You do realize that trash talking is a normal thing. You see it when sports fans of differing teams talk, you see it when ppl play board games. It’s not a new thing an adult is someone who has the capacity to handle a situation a child wouldn’t. An adult should understand that these situations happen, exists and are normal human behavior and instead of standing there shutting your eyes and covering your ears like a child you can, a choose ignore it, not participate or leave the area of the conversation.
To answer your question, the way you just phrased it is basically dismissive of a differing opinion, your response is simply “go away and play another game” if this community is so “inclusive” this shouldn’t be an issue. Unlike you I believe there is a place for both Casual player and Hardcore players to coexist and have fun because I believe in “inclusiveness” not creating a polar opposite game.
I like this game because the system Anet has created can be conducive to both types of players if they simply ease up on this idea of a “participation diploma” that we use to make children not feel bad for losing. I agree with a lot of the improvement they have done like no kill stealing, shared loot trust me only the most extreme HC players oppose this and they are a very very small minority. What I oppose as someone already put it is this “No risk, no gates, no loss, yet people wonder why they get bored.”.
When you read around the forums you notice players want less risk, less gates and more for less work. This is the carebear attitude you want everything upfront with no effort, you consider playing running around pushing a button without a goal or purpose and I consider that boring. One example of this is how the community will defend someone who is basically circumventing the point of the game by having a Mesmer warp him to end of a puzzle instead of doing the puzzle himself. I remember the argument was “why do you care how someone plays the game?” if you skip a whole part of the game is that considered playing the game? Should Anet allow this? I don’t think they should, but it doesn’t seem to matter because the rewards of that puzzle are terrible anyway.. Which becomes a circular argument, you can not play the game, get things, which are worthless anyway, and everyone is ok with that? For the most part it seems the community is.
(edited by Jourgound Meister.8561)
While I don’t agree with all of the specific points the OP makes I still partially agree with his opinion in general. I don’t consider myself a “Hard Core player” but I do like a challenge and I love to see competition for clearing content going on actively on map chats and so on.
Like the OP I’ve played many other MMO’s mostly FFXI, FFXIV and Wildstar. While there is definitely a lot of good differences in GW2 vs the other MMO’s that I really love there is a point where trying to be too different becomes alienating to the existing MMO rpg player.
The community in general has this hostile carebear attitude which to me personally is worse than dealing with “ELITIST” (hate this term but w/e) kittens. Any dissenting opinions about the current low difficulty of the game are met with “this is a different game and maybe it isn’t the game for you” which is fairly hostile in a passive aggressive way. I honestly don’t even understand the argument against trash talking, I see it as a common human response to competition and it adds to the fun. The game has plenty of mechanics built in to protect your sensibilities if you aren’t into this.. close the chat box or block the players. A normal adult in everyday life would simply walk away from a conversation they don’t want to be a part of not stand there and try to force everyone to act the way they expect them too.
While the game in general is very well made and is fun to play, it still lacks excitement and challenge. I haven’t gotten that feeling I got from playing a Extreme Primal fight in FFXIV, heart racing, extreme focus and situational awareness followed by either by disappointment (dying and failing the fight) or a feeling of reward knowing you just cleared a difficult fight and get rewarded for it. In fact the rewards are pretty “meh”, I cleared a few jumping puzzles which can be a kittenallenging expecting a good reward.. Instead I clear it and get some crappy gear and crafting items. In the end it’s not worth it and no one in game will even cares you did it.
Which bring me to the social aspect of this game that is really lacking “bragging rights” and no it’s not a negative term it’s something you do with your friends and we all do it. (cue the gear post spam) It’s NORMAL and it’s fun to feel like, at least in game, your “work” is rewarded with at the very least some recognition. However the game effectively negates this by simply making it too easy to get anything worth getting and giving you nothing from completing some of the more difficult parts of the game. (The very few difficult parts).
Difficulty in this game is either grind gated (fractals getting agony infusions) or presented in a very pointless way of making the mobs hit harder. There is no strategic challenges no “teamwork” other than stacking and world events (even world events don’t seem like teamwork). In ways the game does feel like a single player RPG with just other people running around you.
I’m sure many of you will pick apart my arguments with the same old lines I’ve already read. “Well there is strategy, I never stack!” but I find that hard to believe because I’ve yet to see it. Some people in the community like this game so much that no matter what turn the game takes they will defend it aggressively, which is counter productive to the progress of this game (if there is to be any). There is a saying in Spanish that roughly translates to “.. You can loves something so much and hold on to it so tightly that you will eventually squeeze it’s eyes out.” and I think that applies here.
The OP has a valid argument in a sense that the game is too easy, Anet is catering to a group of “yes men”/players that simply have no experience in the MMO genre. Anet as a result Anet is slowly sucking the fun, challenge and reward out of the game. I love the leveling system of doing world events but it’s so short lived because of things like Tomes (rare candy anyone?). I myself am new to this game (2 months in) I have one level 80 and I really enjoyed getting to 80 (theif) but now I also have a level 35 ele and I haven’t even put 30 minutes of play time into it because of Tomes. I have a love/hate thing for tomes for one they are useful because I can level a job fast, on the other hand I missed out on the learning the job as I level thru exploration. However I would love to see Tomes and items like this removed all together.
I just realized op meant fps drop during big fights. Again, I get around 20 fps on my set up for big fights and I don’t realm reduce any of my graphics settings (max). I don’t believe the issue is your in game graphics setup. If you are running Nvidia Experience software (which you should be) for your gpu then you should try modifying the settings there instead of in game. The software gives you alot more control in a more direct and less general aspect vs the in game graphics setting. You can also use a slider scale to set your preferences to performance. I found that if your Gforce experience software setting are set to “quality” vs “performance” even if you lower all graphics settings in game the software may still override some settings resulting in a performance drag.
That said if all you want to do is get higher fps then I suggest instead of lowering all your graphics setting that you simply lower your resolution. By default the resolution is set to 4k supersampled 1080p.. I get an additional 10fps just by using 1080p and disabling supersampling. If you want higher fps then you can easily go to 720p for a huge boost of about 20 fps. This all while keeping your graphic settings at max.
*Edit: Also none of my parts are OC’ed (I find it stupid to do so but that’s a dif story)
I’m running the game on Max Settings (super sampled at 4k) and I have a GTX 970 a i5 3570k and 8 GB ram.
I get around 70+ fps.. something is wrong with your set up. Did you install all the drivers for your CPU your motherboard and your GPU?

With xpadder, I have been using a gamepad to play Guild Wars 2 from level 1 to 71. It works just fine. It’s a little clunky in menus and sometime, I just grab the mouse when I am in the trading post or something, but overall, I like it much better than the keyboard.
NOTE: I also use the Immersive Combat Mod for Guild Wars 2.
Try looking at the link above. I got the idea for my bindings based on this layout in particular look at the way this guy bound the mouse so you don’t have to use the real mouse on menus.
EDIT:
I just installed immersive combat mod.. holy crap this makes the game perfect with a controller.
I just had to slightly edit my layout.. set the right analog to just mouse movement without holding down right click and the rest the same is mostly the same (just added LALT to my start button second layout)
(edited by Jourgound Meister.8561)
It’s essentially the same layout used on FFXIV.. I hold the left trigger to Attack.. let go for jumping/interacting.. not that difficult.. it’s not that different that doing Ctrl + something on the keyboard.
Hello all,
I’ve been playing for about 50 hours 21 Minutes or 12 days, so I’m fairly new to the game. So far I’m really enjoying the game, I’ve joined a guild and had a few random quests moments (world events) that turned out to be fairly interesting.
I used the search function to try and find an already open topic but there where none so I’m making one. First I’d like to keep the conversation on topic, I don’t want to discuss what input method is better for the game (that’s just a matter of personal opinion). Rather I’d like to discuss if controller support is possible in a manner that is as easy and pain free for the dev team to implement. I’d like for those of you using keybound controllers like myself to share your bindings, what kind of program are you using to bind the keys and what is your binding limitation. Also include your reason to using Controller vs Keyboard and Mouse.
I’ll start off:
Reason: I used to be a console player until about a year ago, I have a fifty five inch LED TV and a 7.1 Home Theater Surround system that I bough specifically to maximize my gaming enjoyment. When I made the choice to switch to PC, because I didn’t want to lose this experience I’m used to already, I build a mini-ATX rig (3570k i5, gtx 970, 8 gb ram etc) I built it small enough that it’s about the same size as two Xbox 360 slims stacked. It sits nicely under my TV and I use a wireless keyboard/mouse and wireless controller to play games. Quite frankly I gave keyboard and mouse a try but I just can’t get comfortable sitting on the couch with keyboard and mouse, I can’t even lay down.. That’s my reason for playing with Controller.
Bindings: I’m using Xpadder for my bindings with an XBOX 360 controller. I bound most of the buttons to the numpad.
L-Stick – WASD (for movement)
R-Stick – Right-Click + direction (for camera control)
L-Stick Button – Home (target nearest target)
R-Stick Button – ] (Dodge)
LB – Num 0 (Elite Skill)
X – Num 1 (Interact)
Y – Num 2 (AOE Loot)
A – Num 3 (Jump/Swim Up)
B – Num 4 (Draw Weapon)
RB – Num 5 (Switch Weapons)
D-Down – Num 6 (Heal)
D-Left – Num 7 (Utility 1)
D-Up – Num 8 (Utility 2)
D-Right – Num 9 (Utility 3)
RT- ALT
LT – CTRL
LT + X – (WP Skill 1)
LT + Y – (WP Skill 2)
LT + A – (WP Skill 3)
LT + B – (WP Skill 4)
LT + RB- (WP Skill 5)
RT + X – (PF Skill 1)
RT + Y – (PF Skill 2)
RT + A – (PF Skill 3)
RT + B – (PF Skill 4)
RT + RB – (PF Skill 5)
Start – [ (Next Enemy) (RT + Start – Previous Enemy)
Back button is linked to a secondary button layout (also defaults the mouse to the center of the screen for 3rd Person like targeting)
R-Stick – Move Mouse
RT – Right Click
LT – Left Click
RB – Mouse wheel up
LB – Mouse wheel down
A – Default for Map
B – Default for Hero
Y – Default for Inventory
X – Guild
So I got button options to spare in this game and will probably tweak this going forward.
Personally, I’d like to see the simplest controller support for this game being. Do nothing to the UI.
- Allow for control of the camera using the Left Analog Stick (or right)
- Allow for use of the Right Stick (or Left) for movement keeping the Analog functionality intact (meaning precision!! I can’t get that on a single push key)
- Allow the rest of the buttons to be bound in any way we choose using any button combination using the existing binding setup.
- Menus should default for controller navigation (for those of us using it) when opened.
That’s really it. Targeting is not an issue, really considering there are 3 different buttons to target enemies.
Literally my biggest gripe of having to bind a controller is that sometimes bindings (or rather the binding program) fails at important times. Like my mouse not returning to the center… when it should.
Thanks and remember to stay on topic.

For those of you who don’t know, when an MMO is launched in a console it takes you to a custom client just like on PC.. from which you launch the game. It’s not updated thru the consoles update system.
What you’re ignoring is that the vetting process (and associated fees) isn’t just the console maker charging for the use of their network, it’s the maker’s in-house QA making sure the patch doesn’t do something it’s not supposed to with the driver calls and such. It doesn’t matter if the launcher is connecting directly to the MMO developer’s servers to grab the update because it’s still installing the update on the console and thus needs to be vetted.
That being said, if it’s a server-side patch there won’t be any vetting process and there’s likely a process to fast track patches that only have content updates, but for everything else there will be additional QA (which isn’t a bad thing, mind you) and it will be delayed.
What you are ignoring is the rest of the post you just quoted. I doubt either you or I actually have any first hand knowledge of what the actual “update getting process” entails. However, I know for a fact that you know less than I do because you’ve never touched a console MMO. The updates are downloaded from within the client NOT the built in console update system. A server side update wouldn’t even require a mention in as an update because none of us would ever know about them unless we where told by the devs. Hence I am inclined to believe that if there is any getting process it must be a single initial deal that allows the developer client to update independently… That I believe may be an initial real obstacle and not subsequent individual updates.
You do realize that MMO:s aren’t supposed to be played on consoles right? What ESO did was an attempt to please the “Skyrim online” fanboys, a failure that is.
Now I’ve already written this but since you’re probably a troll I wont write anything else.
I think you are trolling, MMO’s can be played on consoles. The reason why there aren’t that many is for a few very valid reasons that I haven’t seen anyone here discuss.
-Main one being, RPG’s aren’t as popular as they used to be anymore. Frankly FPS are what sells consoles now days. (Mostly because most RPGS now days are pretty niche and not very fresh.. it’s all about nostalgia with RPGs now days)
-MMO players.. tend to play MMo’s on PC’s because they probably started playing MMOs in the first place.. thus how they got into MMO’s.
-Console players are even more reluctant to pay a monthly subscription to play a single game online. Which guild wars has a win here..
-Old MMO’s definitely weren’t tailored to Controller settings (no way in hell I can play Diablo 2 or EQ on a controller). However, despite what people think that is no longer true. Think about how many action buttons you have in guild wars 2 alone.. 9? Yeah I can get up to 32 different inputs using a simple combination of LT + Button and RT + Button on my controller AND control the mouse. I never even touch the keyboard and mouse except to type.
- (This one has been discussed) Yes, there are rules consoles put in place and yes XBOX one has the strictest of them. It mostly has to do with Consoles protecting the experience as much as they can AND getting revenue. (Consoles in last gen were sold at a loss or at cost, money has to come from somewhere).
However, all PC gamers who oppose the new MMO’s on consoles only argument essentially boils down to that of a child not wanting to share. “They won’t have time for PC development”, “The updates will be delayed” etc.. which aren’t true. As I said before FFXI and FFXIV are the best examples of a very well done cross platform MMO that is niche. In these games updates are frequent, digital items are sold just like in Guild Wars and the servers are MIXED.
For those of you who don’t know, when an MMO is launched in a console it takes you to a custom client just like on PC.. from which you launch the game. It’s not updated thru the consoles update system.
Honestly, Guild Wars was by far the easiest MMO to keybind to a controller ever. The only thing they need to do to support a controller is minor UI changes and figure out a controller scheme. (or allow us to bind it while retaining the controller’s functionality). I would love to be able to use my analog to do precise movements when doing the jump challenges (can’t do that on a binded controller.. ).
Out of every MMO I’ve played (Wildstar, EQ, Starwars, FFXIV, FFXI, WOW, TERA, ESO to name a few) both Wildstar and GUildwars are by far the most obvious choices for console port.. the fact that this hasn’t happened dumbfounds me. I hate to say it but it’s simple numbers economics, you may make less money per “customer” on a console but there are a hell of a lot more “customers” on consoles then there are on PC’s.. that’s a fact.
However I think the reason why Guild Wars Team may be reluctant to make the port is because ports do cost money and they aren’t sure if they will get a return on this investment. I agree it’s a risk but as some one who has only recently left consoles for PC (because of MMO’s) I can say that Guild Wars is perfect for console and it will do very well on a console. If any MMO (none has so far) is able to make a splash into the console market, this is the game to do it.

?? Well that’s your opinion. Personally I play MMO’s with a controller because I’d rather play on my couch on my 55" TV with my 7.1 HT system. That said there are a few MMO’s that play on consoles.. FFIX, FFXIV, PHANTASY STAR and ESO. I don’t get the reluctance of some PC gamers to bring MMO’s to consoles.. who cares if you don’t like it. Personally I think it’s good for the industry, if it wasn’t for MMO’s on consoles I may have never switched to PC gaming, I would have never even touched an MMO. Guild Wars is the perfect game to port to a console it fits perfectly with the console gamer mindset and best yet since there is no monthly fee more people will be inclined to try it. That said, I understand that at least with XBOX One this may be a problem, I know FFIX (which I played on XBOX) was cross platform and so is FFXIV (PS4, PS3, PC).. so that’s not an issue.. stop making this an issue because it’s not.
