it is not the norn things i’m no where near one when it happens and it can’t be teq as I explained that I am out of range of teqs stomp/wave/breathe weapon. aka I am defending turrets not in dmg zerg. I read on a similar thread to this that when another player was having problems with this he was checking his combat log and it was telling him “unknown source of damage hits you for…”
Its not the bloated creepers or teq killing you, you are defending the turrets so you are fighting the krait and some of them will explode upon death for massive damage. You either have to move away from them when they are about to die, blind them right before they die, or dodge right as they die.
*or as a guardian maybe try aegis or blocking, not sure if you can block it though.

I can think of two things it might be: Tequatl is stepping on you, his stomp can do lethal damage or krait dying near you, some of them do an AoE explosion upon death with a subtle animation and instant massive damage.
I’m always curious why people have to block names or chat
Haha yeah I said the same thing to fox when I saw this screenshot right after the fight. I am actually the one in his party, you can still see me in the screenshot with my name and that I’m in the party. I didn’t really care about that but I could see why blocking the chat might be good sometimes, maybe whispers/party chat with personal stuff!
Nice screenshot fox, perfect timing.
(rawr look at me manning that turret ready to spam that stake thrower!)
You need to increase your graphic settings.
I’m sure he just turned them down for the fight to get better frame rate, I do the same thing for serious attempts like that one even though I could run it on medium/high settings.
Master of Baubles (W2) - Is it still broken?

I know some people (including me) were still having issues even after the “fix” but here is what worked for me and some others that tried it. Do a solo run (not sure if this matters) and keep your baubles under 250. After the patch that fixed it, I still wasn’t able to get it when I ran with a couple friends or even solo runs when I didn’t manage my bauble bag and let it max out but I did get the achievement when I did a solo run and kept my baubles low, first try. I hope it works for you!

I followed Dulfy’s video guide, but I noticed a single bauble on a hilltop in 2-3 when I panned the camera around in the latter part of the game. I’m not sure if I just missed it somehow (which is odd because it’s so prominent), or if the video misses it somehow…. or maybe it was a mob drop (which would also be odd, because I’m usually meticulous about collecting any bauble from mobs).
I did get the achievement.
It sounds like maybe the area right after the snowstorm/goat checkpoint where you find 3 polar bears, was that the spot? If so, that is a known blue bauble up on that hill next to one of the polar bears.
Bauble bag wasn’t full at any time (and even if so, why should that impede progress?).
Because its possibly a bug, something can seem completely unrelated but still impede progress for the other thing. It might not even affect everyone, I just know that I was not able to get the achievement but then I tried a solo run keeping my baubles low and I was able to get the achievement. Maybe its not where the bug is but I’m just going off my experience and hoping it helps other people.

Broke down and had to use a guide for master of baubles – did twice, followed the guide, checklisted all my baubles – no achieve.
It’s still bugged for some it seems.Did it with two friends, followed the Dulfy Guide step by step and collected every bauble. None of us got the achievement…
For people still not getting the achievement, next time you try make sure you always stay low on baubles. Never collect any of the required baubles while maxed out on baubles. Try to stay below 500 baubles, spend them on extra lives or potions. I think there is still a bug related to this, let us know if that works!
I had only 50 baubles with me when I started my run ( ended somewhere around 200-300). So that shouldn’t be the case.
Try to do it solo and keep the baubles under 250. I wasn’t able to get it when I ran with a couple friends but I got the achievement when I did a solo run and kept my baubles low.
I think its worth a shot. I wasn’t able to get Master of Baubles for world 2 even after the patch that was suppose to fix it but I tried again, I did a run keeping my bauble count low and got the achievement that time. I have no idea if it really matters but I also recommend doing it solo.
Did you collect any of the required baubles while your bauble bag was full? I think there is a bug related to that, if you don’t mind trying again, try to keep your bauble count under 250. I hope that works!

I found out you could at least bomb open that spot from the other side if you stand at this spot in my screenshot and do a jump bomb. Anyone want to test to see if that counts?
Well for that secret room I didn’t actually find a way to get on that top ledge from the other side. Only way I got to it was via the bombing. Going into that room via the way you guys described doesn’t count for the hidden room achievement, it only counted if you can somehow get on top of that ledge.
Yeah I didn’t realize that when I told them the other way. I had the secret already found from the bombing way so I wasn’t sure if it would count when you dropped in from the other way.
I’ve gotten to this area where the yellow bauble is and it appears there is no way to get up to where the hole in the wall should be, I’ve been jumping around there almost an hour with no success. I seems to me that Dulfy went the wrong way through the door in the video and maybe the devs thought the same thing, which is why it was changed.
I attached a pic of where i think the bombable door is, if I’m wrong someone please tell me. Also note at the bottom of this chasm is a yellow bauble, a banana, and a portal to the next checkpoint

Ok yeah I always found these secrets to be strange. I did actually find the way Dulfy shows first when I ran it the first time and thought it was weird that I found that easy way to drop in to the other room later. I wasn’t sure if you needed to go in from the other side for it to count. Looks like the devs are on it, hopefully it gets fixed soon!
The alternate way works if you just want to collect all the baubles, but it seems since you don’t actually enter the room through the bombable secret entrance it doesn’t count for the Master of Secrets achievement.
Still looking for some kind of way to get up to the other side of the bombable wall or to bomb it from down below and somehow jump close enough to it for it to count or something like that…
And here I thought things would be easy for once.
Well, I can’t actually get in game currently to verify but I thought you could still get over to that bomb spot from where I said to drop in. If this is not resolved by the time I get home from work I will check on it and let you know.
I’ve been having the same problem which is a bit annoying. I’ll have to check out JumpyMonkeys suggestion, if I can find out where he is referring to.
Ok here I found the spot in one of Dulfy’s screenshots. It’s the hole just down and to the left of her in this screenshot. So yeah, looks like you need to first jump up on that platform to the left of where you teleport in at the top and then drop down.
http://dulfy.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/gw2-master-of-secrets-world-2-achievement-guide-20.jpg
There is a different and much easier way to get to that secret: after you arrive at the top from the teleporter, you can go to the left (I can’t verify currently but you may have to jump up one platform first) and fall down the hole between the two platforms and you should land right near one of the yellow baubles.
