OMG such crybabies. No system will get your placement spot on. Like everything else it takes a certain amount of time. More games you play the easier for the system to “figure out” in which tier you belong. Even then I’m sure it won’t be flawless but at least it’s a step to a right direction. Ranting even before finishing placement matches :|
Win or lose give it at least some time before you judge it.
This is terrible start. So many noobs that are playing pvp for the first time.
Please enlighten us why is this terrible? Means pvp community is growing.
I want to say all all players that whine so quick into the season. people whining about placement matches, the same people whining about visible mmr resets, people whining and declaring a new seasonal meta. You are all terrible people.

This is certainly a big step forward, will gladly check it out.
After insane number of matches with 400 points difference I decided to quit gw until the new update and even then I give no promises of fully returning to the game. I’m sure many decided to do the same, or quit pvp at least. What I’ve learned in the past year that I’ve played gw, things are just going downhill. Instead of balancing it, their priority was to shorten the queue time, short fix which in return discourages players to actually play pvp and again extend the queue time. 0 response from devs in a long time, therefore I really have no reason to stick around.

Who thought that class dailies are a good idea? Supports class stacking and use of classes that aren’t their main class, mix it with the current matchmaking and you get the video from the 1st post.
I’m a fairly new player and I rather wait a bit longer and have a more balanced and fun pvp match then to get slaughtered 500 to 100 points several times in a row which actually discouraged me from going into gw2 pvp.
I started playing gw2 less then a year ago so my opinion can’t be compared to most of the pvp players that have a lot of played games behind them. But what I can see is that matchmaking in gw2 is horrible (ranked or unranked), on several occasions 8 out of 10 matches were a loss of 500vs100 points, sometimes even worse. It’s extremely discouraging, what’s worse this game isn’t new and has such an unfinished pvp system, therefore I’m not convinced that anet will ever be able to solve the issue. That ofc forced me to feed my pvp desire elsewhere.
This solo queue poll is just more insult to injury because it just looks like a cheap fix so they can say “ok there, we tried and it didn’t work” since obviously the queue is not the only problem. In my opinion solo and team queue should be separate leagues (with addition that only players of the same/similar skill level can party up for competitive team league in order to keep it fair), but it still needs a much better matchmaking system. I rather wait a little longer in order to have more balanced game and actually enjoy playing it.
PVP dailies are also a part of the problem imo, players want to finish the daily so you get a lot of class stacking and in addition some play on a class they know nothing about. I have 2 classes that I felt comfortable taking into pvp, I didn’t use the ones that were leveled up with tomes because I felt like a burden going into a game where I have no idea what I’m doing.
Isn’t helseth the guy who insults pretty much everyone who disagrees with him? Why should anyone care what he has to say.
