I think the best solution for this issue, would be more visibility for the players.
ArenaNet, why are you making these changes?
From where I am standing, this looks like a CLEAR money grab tactic.
Are you guys lacking funds? Are we not providing enough money to make this game worth it?
We’re here, and we’re waiting. Tell us what it is you want and we will provide, because what it is we want is Guild Wars 2, we want you to continue making content for our beloved MMO, we want you to respect us as a consumer base.
Ask us, what you can do to make more money, and we will tell you what we would be willing to give you money for. Just please, no more of these unannounced changes, no more of these shady moves on your part that make players at large worry for the game, and company’s, future.
I recently made a post like this on the Necromancer forums, the wealth of responses I received and the interesting anecdotes given made me want to open up the question to all classes.
This is not just for me, but for any new or old players looking for a new Profession and community to join. Recruit us.
What makes your Profession the best? And why should I join your ranks?
Should I study the forbidden Necromantic Arts, defying death itself whilst spelling it out for my enemies?
Or should I follow the path of Science and Technology with an Engineer, using my wit and intelligence to survive any battle?
Would I prefer to dance between the shadows as a Thief, a blur in the midst of the fight, slicing my opponents before they know I’m there?
Or do I follow the way of nature, taming the wilds to my will alongside my Animal companion?
What advantage does the Illusory magic of the Mesmer have over these other choices?
Or is true strength found in your skill with a blade and physical might as a Warrior?
Should I control the elements at a whim as an Elementalist?
Or stand between my enemies and allies with powerful armor and an even more powerful resolve as a Guardian?
Tell me why your Professions is the best of the lot, and why you could be no other.
What point in your career made you realize that there was nothing else for you?
What makes you proud you took up this mantle?
Why should I join your ranks?
What sets you apart from the other professions, that makes you love Necromancer above all else?
What is it about your character that makes your Main a Necromancer with no regrets?
Tell me why you chose Necromancer and continue to play them, instead of any of the other professions.
Hey Guys,
First time poster. Recently got back into GW2 after having it since launch, I’m ashamed to say I never really gave it the time of day and I regret that now.
Alas, however I have started playing and have created an engineer as my first character as I have trawled the forums and guides for a profession I would enjoy the most. Engineer seems to fit that bill perfectly, he’s unique, tricky and from what i can tell takes some creativity.
However, I’m leveling through and do not feel like I’m experiencing this prof to the fullest. Is there any advice you can give on this? Maybe a particular skill-set/skill that opened your eyes to exactly how versatile engineers are? Maybe a point in your career, or an experience that proved to you exactly why you picked an engineer?
Even just a build that plays up all Engineers strengths just so I can really get the feel of where I am going with this character. Probably a bit too early to tell, but am hoping for a bit more guidance with such an individual and unconventional Profession.
Thanks for the help guys, love your work.
