@Jski
Having a 5 second cooldown per attunement, or even across all attunements, makes sense. I suspect that was intended in the first place but Anet messed up the wording…or messed up the glyph! Hopefully the first one.
@hornswroggle
Exactly. If the wording/wiki is right it makes the skill useless except in coordinated groups like raids, or solo play.
@Carighan
There is absolutely no need to limit the skill which is why I think it’s a bug or worded incorrectly.
@Wolfric, juno
Since this glyph is applied to the self and inflicts conditions on enemies by attacking them it makes no sense at all to link it with other players. I wouldn’t mind a change/improvement to rebound myself but GoEP is a self-applied dps/condition application skill and very different.
Glyph of Elemental Power: Internal cooldown can now be shared between elementalists.
I’m surprised nobody has commented on or written a post about this. I’m actually suspicious this is a bug that somehow got into the patch notes. In fact, over the next few days this skill received three hotfixes that I know of. None of them addressed the absurdity of sharing one’s cooldown with someone else. The wiki says I’m reading this right:
“The internal cooldown (ICD) is shared amongst other, nearby elementalists. What this means is that a creature affected by Glyph of Elemental Power cannot be affected for the next 5 seconds by any other elementalist. The current radius of this effect is unknown.”
I still hope Wiki and I are wrong because that makes no sense. If true, my Glyph of Elemental Power can potentially become completely disabled because other nearby elementalists are using it on the same mob. And that detail isn’t even in the skill description. Can someone help me here?
Daredevil utility skills already do this without adding a glove weapon. A brass knuckle kit (like the engineers have) for thieves or some other class have might be cool. Hand based utility skills are already working so they might add more, and to other classes. *crosses fingers for elementalist*
As I tested Chrono on the PvP NPCs I noticed Tides of Time didn’t always return to me when an object or wall was in the way. I read that this was fixed already but it doesn’t seem patched into the game. Anyone else?
