Some ANET interfered with our GvG

Having read all of the post so far I must say that I can understand both sides of the coin. The WvW players who disagree with GvG are correct when they say you are taking up que spots, regardless if you’re just taking them up on an empty map. On the flip side, doing GvG on an empty map late in the week isn’t going to hurt anyone because in most situations the match is decided around early Thursday anyway.

I myself don’t have an issue with GvG. I don’t particularly care for it, but there are a lot of players who do and Anet should really consider that and give them a way to do it. I doubt they will tho because rather than listening to the players, they just implement things like bloodlust and do nothing to change the outmanned buff. Although I will give them credit they did at least change the name of it to outnumbered.

As far as what happened in the above pictures and video with the Dev, what he did may have been unprofessional and it was a huge mistake but the bottom line is both parties were griefing each other to an extent. The players trying to GvG are right in saying he was interrupting their GvG, but at the same time, they are all their taking up que spots and adding nothing to the actual game of WvW, regardless if it matters or not. I’m not trying to be on either side of the argument here. I’m just trying to point out that both sides have valid points.

Yea they don’t need to nerf anything, people just need to figure out what to do. It wasn’t meant to be beaten the very first time, or the second time. The main mistakes I saw was people just blindly zerging into him dying for no reason and then complaining he was to hard. Just give it some time, don’t judge content 20 minutes after its been released. The fight is actually interesting and enjoyable to me, but that’s just my opinion.

Right now I only have the Ascended version of the Prototype Fractal Capacitor. If I were to use the charr back pack cosmetic on it, will i still be able to use it in the recipe to Infuse it later on?

Some of the people in WvW today were talking about how someone can just run up, and be killed at a location you are trebbing from or seiging from in general and just lay there and feed information to the rest of the borderlands. So this is my personal solution on the matter. Add in a feature that allows us to burn the body of the defeated player that will force them to respawn at their borderlands default waypoint, no keeps or garrison. Now I know it’s really not that big of an issue for most people and it isn’t for me personally, this was just an idea I had when it was mentioned.

If updating your ticket moves you to the back of the queue, that is completely stupid. They should just review everyone’s ticket by this section of the number -000852, but they obviously don’t cause my number is like 139 and its going on a week I’ve been banned, and the only thing I’ve been told is “escalated for further review” whatever that is suppose to mean, why couldn’t they just take care of it when they looked at it the first time. I’m probably gonna miss The Lost Shore because of their flawed banning system, I also wouldn’t be surprised if they removed this post. And if I sound angry, sorry it’s not toward you.

My ticket was “Escalated for further review” whatever that means, 3 days ago…

121110-000139 is my ticket number. I don’t think it should take 3 days to review a ticket. And, I understand customer support is expensive. But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. What does it cost to handle a situation and handle it well? You know, when you treat people like this, and wrongfully ban them, and don’t take there side, and treat them as the enemy, people just become apathetic and decide, well I’ll just go somewhere else for my happiness.

I would appreciate if I wasn’t FORCED to miss a one time event (The Lost Shore) because of your mess up Anet. Can we please get something done? I have tried replying directly to support on my ticket and haven’t heard anything. I am NOT a bot. I have never used 3rd party programs. Please lift my ban, I don’t appreciate this whole mentality of guilty until proven innocent.

Just wanted to ask since I’ve tried for 2 days now to connect with it and have had no success, regardless of the browser, clearing cache & cookies, and restarting my internet & PC.

Mostly asking since I’ve been recently banned (another legit player here banned for “botting”) and have been trying to connect with Support to submit a ticket. Any response would be nice.

I just started having problems with it maybe an hour ago. Happened right after I got an email saying my perma ban had been changed to “an account issue” and they required more information to resolve it.

BTW. No, I am not a bot. I provided everything you asked for in the ticket submission, I have tried to be patient but I have seriously had it. I did not deserve to be banned and I feel as tho I, the customer am being treated as the enemy.

I agree. You could have the greatest game ever made, but if it’s tainted by things like this and lack luster customer support, it doesn’t mean anything.

Sorry, that’s now the way it works. I am one person trying to gather information that may help many players. If you have information to share, you can post it here if you wish or naturally your ticket will be reviewed and your situation handled to the best of our ability. I simply do not have time to engage in a PM conversation at this time.

Now, I’m one of the people who was wrongly banned for botting. And I would like to say that I know customer support is expensive. But, what does it cost to handle a situation and handle it well? And to treat people with respect? You know, I really feel like the people that have been wrongly banned are being treated like the enemy. And that really leaves a bad taste for people. People can pick that up, and when people try for days to communicate their problem and hear very little back, they just become apathetic and decide, forget this, I’ll just go somewhere else for my happiness. This is your mess up Anet. Either you have some type of automated system that went wild and banned a lot of people for no reason. Or maybe, It was an actual person who went wild? But this is honestly what I think happened… I think the botters are a lot smarter than they were given credit. And THEY are the ones actually reporting players and causing them to get banned. But why? Maybe they want Anet to focus all there time fixing a massive issue than deal with bots? What really should be done at this point is to just remove all bans, and give everyone there accounts back, bot or not. This way of dealing with bots has failed. There are to many ways bots themselves can manipulate the report system and get innocents banned. Again, this is just my opinion. And, I get it, I understand what the personal issue with bots Anet has is, if people were to buy gold from a farmer, they wouldn’t be buying it from the Gem Store. Well, I’m pretty sure after this a lot of people won’t be buying anything from the Gem Store again.

Anet, get it together, your customer support is completely lack luster. All these people including myself who have been banned can do nothing but wait for you to “investigate”. What does this investigation involve? I mean, I have only been banned for 2 days, but what about the people who are saying its been weeks? they won’t be getting anything in-game for all the time you have cost them and it isn’t fair. I can understand a mistake, but what I cannot understand is the amount of time it’s taking to sort out and how we will get nothing for being wrongly banned. You must, step up your customer support. You cannot just take all the time you see fit to deal with something. And also, it really isn’t fair to tell people, stay away from areas where there are bots, I paid to play the entire game, I should be able to go where I want in the game, for as long as I want, without fear of being banned by some flawed system. I guess that isn’t the case.

I was banned about 24 hours ago for error code 45, I have never done any of the things listed by this error code. All I want to do, is get my Legendary and now I’m probably looking at a few weeks sidelined because of poor management of a situation. And from what I have been reading from other people in this thread that’s about the time it’s taking for something to be done, I’m also going to miss The Lost Shores opening. I think you need to stop releasing new content, stop adding new stuff to the gem store, and get it together on something far more important, CUSTOMER SERVICE. People don’t want to hear, be patient it’s being looked into, people want action to be taken. The longer you take to deal with something, especially something like this where someone is banned for doing… NOTHING. People will just become apathetic and leave.

So in the middle of WvW today, I was booted from the game and when I tried to log back in I was told I have been Perma Banned for botting, which I have never done. I have already submitted a support ticket about this happening, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what the out come was. I have to say when it first happened I was pretty angry about it, but now I figure it was just an accident. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Did this happen because I was farming materials and gold for my Legendary in what was once a high traffic bot area? I don’t really understand how I can be banned for doing nothing, when a guildie of mine said to me after this happened, he has like 200 still active bots on his blocked list. I hope this was just a mistake and I appreciate any feedback.
