Log to character select and log back in, or change to a different map. Your tag should be available. ^^

Some things you guys might check:

• Is the character you are trying to access the story with level 80?
• Have you tried to log out of the game (close the client) and log back in?

Re-logging seems to help most issues, but if you’re not level 80 you won’t be able to do the new Season 2 story yet (though you will be able to enter the new zone and play the events there).

Are you guys targeting him and then running to him with the sun aspect? Or are you using autotarget to get him?

I definitely agree that some areas of the game could be made better!

I agreed especially with your second point concerning the lack of end game content.

• The living story content has been a great door to giving me things to do at 80, but I also wouldn’t mind seeing more activities that I can aim for (a goal or achievement) that isn’t tied to something such as a legendary.
• Seeing more large scale events like the current invasions would be pretty awesome, especially if it really affected the zones they were occurring in.

Down in your 6th point, you brought up the zodiac weapons being in the gemstore.

• While I personally am not as bothered by this, I did like your suggestion about having quests/missions/alternate ways of achieving unique skins.
  • Earning nice skins, rather than purchasing them allows me to feel as if I have gained a trophy and make them feel more valuable.

Guilds!
I’m totally with you on players from both sides of the pond being able to play with one another again. This was definitely a feature I loved about Guild Wars, and having it in Guild Wars 2 was a drawing feature for myself and many of my friends (I play in the US, but I have several friends in EU that I cannot play with in GW2). Once the technology is available, I feel this change would make many of us (the players) incredibly happy!

Hello again! I thought I’d share a link to one of my latest parodies. This song is focused on Owain this time around.

Owain is one of the NPCs located on Southsun. As far as I know, she’s been there since the first time Tyrians first stepped onto the island. The poor girl is a bit scrambled, but makes some crazy eggs. According to a log book found on Southsun, Owain came to the island along with Canach. What happened in between then and now is yet unknown.

Event Name: Group Event – Reclaim the settlement by burning out the karka nests
Current Server: Anvil Rock
Issue: Cannot destroy the karka nests with flame throwers. Event cannot be completed.

Long Breakdown:

• Shortly after defeating the Queen on Anvil Rock, the ‘zerg’ moved to retake the camps. .
• When group first entered Steampipe Steading, no nests or mobs were seen.
• After waiting roughly 5 minutes, the defense event began. This happened while the text for the retake event was still on the meta window.
• Despite successfully holding the gates, at 7/8 waves we suddenly failed the event.
• The karka for the retake event and the nests spawned.
• The zerg recouped and moved in. However, the flamethrowers will not damage the Karka Nests. (See screenshots below of flame throwers not working on nests)
• It has been roughly 10 min since they started trying to clear out this settlement, but still no go.

Event cannot be completed and is stuck.

There are several really sweet lines being delivered by the NPCs put in around Southsun Cove for the new living story content, “The Secret of Southsun.” One of those is the lines Kiel often says when you’re on Pearl Islet. From those lines, I put together a fan trailer for the current content of the story.

This video takes about 2 hours of vid / 3 hours of gameplay and squishes them into about 3 min. haha

My goal was to show off the progression of events in this final chapter of the Lost Shores event. Basically, we start off traveling into the Hive with a demolition crew. However, mom isn’t home. So we go find her and we drive her back to the Hive. Then we set off the explosives and chase her to the bottom of the Hive, setting off charges as we go. Then the big fight at the bottom with the awesome ‘finishing’ move. hehe

I had a really fun time with this event and I send out my thanks to ANet and those who put this together. Culling and server lag aside, I thought the event was epic and a blast!

Detti just dropped dead, event failed and the realm doors opened. Thanks if this was the fix! haha

On Jade Quarry, Scholar Detti has stalled out and won’t progress on her escort. Only two of us were present at the time. She’s stalled at the first mob spawn with the veteran spider and the 5-10 smaller plastic spiders.

It seems you may only be using the popup to enter in – have you tried walking through the portal yourself? (Edit: Outside of when it’s you being the person to enter first)

If that doesn’t work, you may want to ask everyone to leave and stand outside the portal and one person enter. Then everyone else enter. (That sometimes works when this happens to me.)

I think a lot of people have their own definition of “fun.” And like you said Michael, you came to GW2 expecting certain things and don’t feel those expectations were met.

I’m not going to tell you to go play with pandas: but perhaps step back and breath a little? I’d suggest writing up some feedback with constructive criticism of the dungeons and what you specifically liked and didn’t like to try to help bring about a change. What specific things within those dungeons need to be tweeked in order for you to have what you feel is fun? I suspect such a post will be much better received over your current post here.

Again though, sorry you’re not enjoying your dungeon experiences and I hope you can find enjoyment in other aspects of the game until other dungeon changes are possibly made.

Congratulations on level 35!

As of right now, there’s not a dungeon finder in the game. Will there be one in the future? No clue, myself. Your best bets are to get out to Plains of Ashford, and either advertise in chat that you are looking for a group to do the dungeon, or to answer someone if they themselves are forming a group and looking for more folks.

You can also bring up your contacts window (under “Y”) and change your status to looking for group – but you may want to only use that near the dungeon since there’s no way to indicate what sort of group you’re looking for (that I know of). Your other alternative is to get into a guild that perhaps has folks running dungeons and try to get in on one of those.
