Is the soloing/DPS potential there for a Mesmer? I’m only lvl 23 atm, but I feel like I am being carried through the levels by my warrior brother. I have tried to solo and I feel like the phantoms die instantly or close to it, and do 1-2dmg per hit. I am S/S atm. I love the premise of the spellsword style, can they be DPS or is their role mainly support?

It would be nice, I had no idea it was % based either. I can’t imagine it being a hard fix. But thanks for the info!

Howdy, my question is pretty much that I can’t decide what kind of profession is best for me, after having played a few to 20-30 (Mesmer, Warrior, Thief, Ele).

My playstyle is basically that I want to be able to do pretty good damage and decent solo PvE potential. PvP Is quite a bit less interesting, so it is not a big deal how decent in PvP.

I play with my warrior brother, so a warrior is out. We are interested in PvE, solo/duo content, dungeons and that kind of stuff.

I am not interested in a support role, that is kinda boring for me. So a blow-em-up is preferred. Mesmer has been pretty boring, Thief feels very squishy but I could be doing it wrong. Ele seems decent but I don’t really like D/D.

Also, if you have any good leveling guides/advice, it would be appreciated!
