No, you should not get the same amount of rank points for losing as you do winning. They already prop up bad play by awarding anything to the losing team. Anet needs to make hotjoin an actual place for beginners to learn about conquest mode rather than zergfest 2014. Removing the team swap ability and taking away losing points would make people actually participate in conquest and maybe try to win rather than just killing everything.
And do you REALLY think they will fix zerking ? xD
And how would you fix people leaving ? By the time auto-balance happens the match is lost. So your suggestion is to keep a bad system bad or make it even badder ? Please do make fun of me…
Why is there such a big Xp difference between winning and loosing in hotjoin when players constantly, join, leave, swap team ?
An example of how bad the Xp system is:
Match A:
The score is 180-50:
I join the loosing team
The team works hard to win ,
During 8 minutes I score 200 points, team lost 500-475
Earn 160 xp.
Match B:
The score is 300-20
I join the winning team
Team is just zerking the spawn of other team
During 1 minute I score 10 points, team win 500-80
I earn 165 xp
So basically there is no point to join the loosing team in an ongoing match and
it is more rewarding/faster to swap team/server and join a winning team if your team is loosing.
How frustrating is that system ?
- My suggestion is make no Xp difference between winning and loosing in hotjoin.
- Give a Xp boost depending on time played, player score.
I know people are going to argue that hotjoin is not serious and just blablabla, but I constantly see players/groups playing for hours in this mode. Players in the loosing team should be able to earn as much reward as the winner in this mode considering the constant changes. What do you think ?
