So I just finished updating today and tried to see if the issue was resolved…
It wasn’t.
I was on teq map, got the black screen after 10 minutes. I reconnected and got on a new map, got the black screen after 2-3 minutes.
I really don’t know what to do anymore…
That thing that ShadowBumble.3504 mentioned “game fast forward to the point where it should be”, that used to happen to me, I think that was the thing that the black screen thing replaced, except of course now it doesn’t take me to the point where it should be and just a black screen.
Right now I’m just simply unable to play and I’m just waiting for the next patch which would hopefully contain a fix for this.
That post is 18 days old, shouldn’t we follow that up?
I thought it might be some issue on heavy graphics scenes too like boss fight, but after encountering it with just sitting and talking to npc i really dont know anymore :/
All I know is I have not encountered this issue the last time I played, so i’m suspecting it has to be some patch between July 23 to August 14.
Right now I am discouraged from playing because I fear it will just disconnect at important times and just frustrate me. I hope they figure out the problem soon…

Hello, I have not played for about a couple of weeks, and when I came back around August 14 I have been experiencing the screen just randomly blacks out. I hear audio but doesn’t seem to respond to any presses or clicks. From there I am forced to close the game (Alt+F4) and relogin. The problem is recursive.
1) blackout on Tequatl incidents about 4 times. I have been on the map for about 30 mins before Teq spawned, and then about 5 mins later i get the black screen.
2) next day, the same thing happened. (I have missed the rewards on both occasions)
3) I am on Lion’s Arch today August 16, and watched the Breacher Summary cinematics. Afterwards I chose Marjory, Kasmeer on the NPC, and a few moments after choosing Rox option I got the black screen.
I am using Lenovo Yoga 11 Ultrabook
Windows 8.1 Single Language
Intel® Core™ i5-4210Y CPU @ 1.50 GHz
8.00GB RAM, 64-bit OS
I have not pre-purchased HoT yet.
please let me know what other information you need, I cannot continue to play like this
