Aww man =\ Yeah I know what you mean. At least you can stay on without it crashing, I get the ‘Send Report’ crash even as soon as loading screen, which I don’t understand at all because I have made no changes to hardware or software since last week.
Mine crashes regardless of the setting I set it at, from best appearance all the way down to best performance.

Funny running into you on the forums here lol. Im sorry I cant offer any help, but I can say I have the same exact problem. I have tried multiple repairs, updating video drivers, and full reinstall, nothing. It used to be very infrequent, was just playing for hours last week, but logging on today, I constantly crash within 5 minutes of logging on. Ill post my report too.

This is amazing! Wish I was EU for this T.T I will take 368 Please!
I tried the Asuna ones before, but I’m a Sylvari. Lol ~
That armor looks really good ^^
I made a thief (though even though I redid the face so many times, I cant seem to get one I like) and will prolly just 1h sword and no offhand to look like Kirito, though I do like skill 3 with pistol offhand. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions for sword skins that would match either of Kirito’s swords?
Also, I was making Agil as well, and even though they dont have two handed axes in the game, I was thinking of going hammer warior, because Im pretty sure there is a hammer skin with small blades on the end.. or I could have just made it up in my head.. lol
Oh and now that I think about it.. Sylvari Mesmer with a Vigil Greatsword would go well as an ALO Kirito, though I wish he did melee attacks, and dual wield Sylvari Mesmer would makes sense if only for the fact that ALO Kirito uses Ilusion magic.
I actually had the same idea and would love this. I have also seen Sword Art Online (Def one of my favs) and I was thinking about how awesome it would be to have a tower like this.
Also, if I may add, though this would take time to develop and implement, like in SAO, a main town/city, doesnt have to be huge, on each floor, where players can leave from to go fight the monsters until the boss room.
And I would love guild halls/homes that could be bought in different towns/levels of the tower. It is def reaching now asking for that, But at the very least, the tower idea would be amazing.
Also, for the people that say to make a cheaper legendary, half of the legendaries don’t even look legendary. There areexotics thatlookway better. Obviously the precursors for the best looking legendaries will be high. Again, not a problem if there wasn’t basically one place to farm efficiently (relatively of course) without having to gamble on the MF or play the TP
I don’t have a Legendary, and won’t be getting one for a long time, but the fact that grinding or dishing out real cash are probably the only sure fire ways of getting money is ridiculous, especially for a game that is supposed to break the grinding mold. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the game, and do not mind grind, but they have severely imbalanced drop rates to the point that Fractals are the only grind worth spending time on. If I was able to farm Orr or normal dungeons and get the same drop rates, I would be fine with that, but that is not the case.
I play 20-30 hours a week (I think that’s the high end of casual) and I am always broke. I do all of the above, and every copper I get is going into exotic gear for my characters. My primary has all exotic armor/jewelry and two weapons. My secondary only has 4 pieces of exotic armor and the pace has slowed greatly on that one. I don’t mind a little work, but if the latest trend continues it will get to grindy for me. The dungeons are fun and a nice change from killing Risen, but standing around LFG is time I am not making any money. Most nights I just can’t sign up for a dungeon because of the LFG time plus unknown dungeon time.
Grinding for a few hours and NOT getting a rare is really depressing since Ecto’s cost so much now. Oh Joy, another porous bone!
My thoughts exactly. I find the dungeons very fun but with limited amount of time to play, it is a waste of time always trying to find a group. www.gw2lfg.com has helped alleviate some of the stress of finding a group, but that method also isnt perfect due to it not being as wide spread/known to the whole gw2 community and more likely than not I end up finding people who have their groups filled. This, though, could be solved with a cross server party search tool.
If you’re not crafting right now though, you’re basically spending the money any how to keep them by opting out of the profits. You can always always always go back and farm more crafting mats later if you’re not going to use them now. When I got really strict about only keeping mats of the craft and level I’m working on now, I started to generate a lot more coin. If I need something I just look up on the wiki where to get it and send my 80 out to pick it up for the crafter (though this is more time consuming but I ‘fill my orders’ in the morning while I’m having my coffee as it’s brainless work).
That is very true. I will most likely sell everything I’m not using asap. I just hate the grind, I don’t mind some of it, but I would much rather explore and get drops while exploring then having to grind, but with how loot has been dropping lately, I feel it is inevitable I will need to. But again, you do have a very good point.
And yeah, I saved my BLSK in the bank for any upgrades I want. Black Lion Keys are too expensive for me to gamble on the chests I have lying around hoping to get anything worthwhile like the SK lol.
Thanks for the advice guys!
I guess one problem with me is I am a hoarder, but partly due to the fact that I am saving my crafting mats to level up various crafts on my alts (Which I actually planned out as to save the most money).
And as it turns out, TabMorte, I actually do most of the things you say. I tend to run past a lot of stuff recently since for the time I have to play, and for what I want to accomplish in that time, fighting monsters and getting items worth 10-40c takes up a lot of it with minimal gain, though any copper is good copper should be my mentality. I just hope they fix this drop rate issue, if it is one, or just open the Mad King’s Realm again so I actually have a chance at getting decent drops lol.
I, though not by choice, would be classified as a casual gamer. This being due to the fact I am a full time student and also work almost full time, so I do not have the time to spend hours everyday to grind away. As the economy stands now, I feel as if it punishes the casual gamer or the gamer that does not have X amount of hours to put into the game every week. I am sure Anet is doing their best to try and fix this, but the price fluctuations (primarily increases) for mats, weapon skins, precursors, armor skins, etc. is becoming ridiculous. I understand that Legendaries were meant to reward dedicated players with the time and effort they put into the game, and I can completely understand that, but even exotic prices have gone up incredibly, and even though they Lost Shores patch said that there is an increase in rare and exotic drops rates, I have actually witnessed the opposite. I have gotten less drops in general (drops being any weapon or armor), let alone rare/exotics, after the patch than before, and this is taking into account I have invested in MF gear since and usually have 100+ MF (Which should be a displayed stat but that is a whole different issue). This makes me wanting to craft the weapons/armor I want near impossible, since without rare/exotics you have no ectos, unless you have enough to dish out 32-36s per, which in return requires grind and a lot of time.
I understand that they want to push Fractals, but the drop-rate differences between regular dungeons, regular mobs/world bosses, and Fractals is substantially different. I used to run around with the zerg in Orr when I had some free time because it required no time commitment and be able to get drops and leave whenever I please. Now if I do not have 1-2 hours to find a group and run Fractals, I will most likely not be able to make money. The diminishing returns do not help contribute one bit, either. I get why they implemented it, and it is to help fight the bots as well, but now with almost every bot gone, I feel like it just hurts the players.
Also, I never even feel like trying my luck with the Mystic Forge due to this. If I get a rare or exotic, If I can make a profit on it, I TP it, otherwise I would much rather gamble and try to pull an ecto or two from the item rather than throw 4 of the same rarity and get back an item that is worth the same as one of the four thrown in. This is a big bummer, for me, since I expected myself testing my luck with the forge a lot when it was announced, but with everything being so expensive, it is probably the most illogical thing to do imo.
In short, I just feel like to keep up with the economy, whether it may be to make a legendary, crafting, or other exotic skins in general, exploring is not good enough anymore. You must grind specific areas for hours to days to get a chance at what you want. Am I the only one that feels this way? Just wanted to share what I have been feeling and get other opinions on it.
I was reading through all the posts and if I was Anet, I would do this myself.
Firstly, I have almost completed my own Twilight, and will offer my views from this perspective. The game is about the looks, not the stats as we all know. Once you get exotic, you’re set, so chasing a “Legendary” skin is an optional task that should be designed only for players willing to invest the time and effort to obtain one.
After completing the personal story, you should be rewarded with 2 account bound precursors of your choice (to match the 2 gifts of exploration from world completion) which is IMO a proper reward from completing your personal story. A legendary should be something you strive to get AFTER you have completed the game. Logically, doing this, you should then remove ALL precursors from ANY source of RNG ( Mystic Forge, Temple chests, drops, etc…)
My second point involves the ridiculous amount of gold needed for the “Gift of X” Legendary specific recipe. Lodestones are used for things other than Legendaries and thus those items will affect the price of them. I suggest removing the lodestones completely from the “Gift of X” recipe and to replace it with a different item, dropped from the Temple chests in Orr. This will make players play in your “endgame” zones more and help out with earning karma for shards. Chests should drop one of these replacement items always, and have a small chance ~10% of receiving a second one.
Icy Runestones were very poorly designed, (why buy 100 for 1g each, when you can buy 1 stone for 100g, there is no reasoning for it as they are only used for one thing essentially) buying a purple item used specifically for a Legendary from a freely accessible vendor is just plain silly. Instead, I would remove the Icy Runestones completely and substitute them for 3 different items that are used for a different weapon depending on the item (i.e. Gift of metal is used for Frostfang, Incinerator, Sunrise, Twilight, The Juggernaut, The Moot, The Flameseeker Prophecies, Bolt and Maw of the Deep) and be obtainable from the chests that drop from the dragon world bosses, with each dragons’ chest dropping one of these 3 items depending on what dragon it was (i.e. The Shatterer’s chest only drops item A). After doing this, the items required should be reduced so players don’t find it to be a “grind” to get these and should drop at the same rate as the Lodestone replacement items I suggested.I have no issues with the Gift of Mastery or the Gift of Fortune, as they seem appropriately named for what you need to do to obtain them, except maybe changing the obsidian shard in the Gift of Mastery recipe to something else, because to obtain 250, the only thing you seem to be a master of, is farming, lol.
I agree with most if not all of everything you said. The precursors, though the more popular ones, i.e. the ones that are required for Legendary skins that actually look Legendary, may be a problem due to being very expensive, but the other materials required for the gifts sometimes tend to be more expensive than te precursor themselves. Without 500-1000g, you should not expect a Legendary. Without pure grinding, whether it be Orr, Dungeons or Fractals, or dishing out about $500-$800 (Since 1 gold is about $0.90-$1.00 if you buy gems and convert), you should not expect a legendary. Your idea would help fix a severely failing economy imo, which in turn, would allow people to buy mats for other weapons/armor, not legendaries,w ithout having to cash out or mindlessly grind.
I agree with OP and I also feel there should be more of a variety of choices for the other types of weapons, even if it is only one other choice. The GS skins are a perfect example of a light and dark version. They could do the same for the other Legendaries, just depends if they care enough to accommodate us. I hope they do, because, as a necro, I have no desire to waste money and time on any legendary, which is a bummer, since when they were first announced, I was so excited for them. None go with the type of character a necro is.. especially not a rainbow staff..
The Temple of Balthazar meta event chain in the Straits of Devastation on the Crystal Desert server is bugged. The Pat members just stand at the starting location of the chain of events but do not move. It has been bugged all day. Please resolve.
