Fellow Filipinos, I don’t think the problem is with a specific isp. I’m a Filipino but I live in the US. I’ve been experiencing this kind of lag too. 3-5 seconds of skill and NPC delays. I really hope Anet responds. I can’t play Guild Wars 2 and I’m really itching to.
Yes, the lag on this game is getting much worse in my experience. Constantly during my daily play sessions it take 1-2 seconds for an attack button to register (keys 1-0) to the point where a slow game like Skyrim feels super super responsive. It actually took me half an hour last night to get used to the responsiveness of Skyrim due to my time suffering GW2 lag.
The funny thing is the movement keys don’t seem to be affected by the lag?! I don’t know what the difference between moving and attacking is when communicating to the servers, I would have thought they would be equal as the server has to track your movements as well as your attacks.
YES! That’s the exact same thing that is happening to me. Delays on skill, talking with NPC’s and selling items, but smooth with the movements!
I don’t know when this issue started to happen because I kinda stopped playing for about 2 months, but now I just got my new video card and I can’t play because of this delays. Every time I try to attack or use any kind of skill it delays by about 3-7 seconds. And if I used my skills continuously there isn’t any animation and suddenly all the damage done by me and my enemy is applied in just one second. I’m really tired of this. I don’t know if it’s just lag because I don’t have this kind of problems with other games (Star Wars: The Old Republic, League of Legends). Even when I talk to NPC’s it’s still delayed. Selling items, doing skill quests, or just simply talking to them. I don’t think it’s my video card because I played Guild Wars 2 days before my video card arrived and it’s already like this. My connection is great, no lags in any other games except Guild Wars 2. I also found in another thread that this kind of issue happened after the January 28 patch and I did exactly what the technical support in that thread told us to do. So here’s my results. Please I really need help on this. My hands are itching for a smooth GW2 game.
