I’m having the same problem on my Ele. It was the first toon i logged into pvp after the patch. All the ones after i have no problems with.
I’m getting the same thing. Sent a bug report don’t know if i should contact support.
I have tried builds using that idea one with Cavalier amulet and another with Valkyrie amulet. For me it just did not work good enough. I would get spikes of crazy damage and then long periods of ok damage. Its just not enough.
Also the amulet you are suggesting was removed from PvP, it was called Vigilant amulet.
@Karsus. yes this is a lot of fun. I tested a bit similar. But i would recomend tempestous aria and gale song and then use flash freeze or aftershok instead of fire signet depending on oposing team and I prefer doom sigil instead of purity.
and then don´t underestimate the power of this build in 1:1 …. Main issue will be power focus fire in sPvP with chain CC. Condis will also bring you down after a while, but you can kill faster very often :-).
@Wolfric. I agree with your assessment of this build’s abilities in 1:1. I will be trying out some of your suggestions especially Gale song, CC is a real pain.
As for fire signet, I use that as my opening attack, big range, big burn damage and blind. I do this in order to force my opponent to quickly use up a condi cleanse and of course damage.
Here is the condi ele build i’m using and having fun with.
I have been wanting to try out PvP and have been trying to put a build together that has both good survivability and good damage. I am not interested in playing a support role. This is the build i have come up with tell me what you think.
