I have just purchased a new PC. Skylake, etc. So the Pc is in good shape. I am having problems with the load of the client. I start it and login. The screen goes black (full screen mode) and then starts playing music. That’s it. I did notice that if I see an hourglass come on, then go away it works. The PC is now frozen. I suspect that this program has focus, but will not allow anything else to get focus. The only thing I can do is ctrl alt del, and force a shut down. Task manager will pop up, but you cant do anything there.
I reboot. If I am lucky, it will work the next time. A few days ago, I had to reboot five times. Once it works, its fine (most of the time) until I reboot. Then its another crapshoot. Tonight, I am on the 3d reboot, have not tried it this time to see if its working yet, else I couldn’t submit this.

Since it didn’t crash, I don’t think the crash log will help. I don’t know what to do to help you figure out the problem since I cant do anything but reboot.

I have built a new pc. Skylake i7, 16 gig memory, gigabyte mother board, graphics card gforce 970, etc. I am running Windows 10 (pro or ultimate ..forgot what its called now) 64 bit.

My 32 bit version of the client started freezing the pc. So I am now using the 64 bit version. Same.

The client loads, I login, click the play button. The screen goes black and I wait for a while. Finally the music starts playing. This is when I know for sure that my pc has been locked up. The only thing that I can do is a ctrl alt del to get task manager. You can see that but you can not kill the client. Nothing. You can’t run another program or anything. “The only thing luckily that I can do is restart” from there.

This seems to be happening about every other time I reboot. Sometimes I have to reboot twice. Then it loads and runs fine. Until I restart GW2 again.

I have a new PC. Windows 10, I7 skylake 16 gig memory and an Nvidia 970, Gygabyte motherboard.

About every other time that I reboot the PC and start GW2, it locks up the computer.
It loads, logs in, click play. I get a black screen with the music playing. I loaded the 64 bit version of the client because I was having this problem with the 32 bit version.

The only thing that I can do is Ctrl Alt Delete to get to task manager, but even there you cant do anything other than reboot. I mean freezes. Nothing else works either.

Usually, I reboot, repeat and it works. Sometimes, I have to do it more than once.

The process we use for LFG is becoming an advertising medium for people to sell, buy, and even sell help. First I don’t like it, but mostly, you are just starting to see more and more of it. Its going to get like the old chat in GW1 where that is all that is going to be in it.

I suggest doing something now. Maybe some dropdown lists like taxi to (dropdown) lfg for dropdown(map) dropdown(area) Better would be just things for that map that one is currently using.

I think this happened with the traits change, but not sure. I use my mouse down and a forward arrow key to run, with the mouse controlling direction. So if I am fighting a champ like Rotbeard, I do a lot of running in circles around him. This has become difficult. I have to move the mouse cursor now much too far. In fact, I cant do it on one screen. I have swipe 3 or 4 times to accomplish what I use to do in one. I did check the speed on my mouse on the OS, but that did not help. I am surprised that there is not a setting in options for this.

Anyway, the travel is much too slow now. So, now I take a lot more damage. Try it. Stand still and see how many swipes it takes you to turn 360.

Please fix this. It makes a big difference if you are trying to solo things. If your zerging, so what. That is brainless anyway.

Humm.. maybe Im missing something but slot 7 is being disabled when I go into the water. Signet of the Locust and putrid explosion have the same reaction.

Dont take your bone fiend into the water, it drowns immediately. Which makes this a pretty much wasted skill unless your willing to switch every time.

You can get this by pulling critters back into the zone, but I dont think this is working as you intend. I cant find any artifacts to gather. Of course, could be the old I just dont get it thing.

Also, Rankor Ruines seems to not be generating anything to kill. Always contested, but nothing comes to clear it.
