“Dungeon hosting” is a serious problem in the game. The person who enters first in a dungeon will became the “host”. When he leaves/ got kicked out/ etc., the others lose progression, because the game kicks them out of the dungeon. Instead of kicking out the entire party, the game should give the role of the “host” to another person, or the game should record the progression of each player separately.
Some examples for hosting problems:
- Yesterday we was in Fractals. At the end of the 2. fractal, one of our mate gone offline. We waited for a while, then we kicked him to invite someone else. It was a mistake, because he was the “dungeon host”, so instead of kicking him, we kicked ourselves out of the dungeon and lost progression.
- ~2 weeks ago we was in Arah. One of our mate said he has to go, so he left the party. He was the “dungeon host”, so by leaving the party, ha stayed in the dungeon, and we got kicked out of Arah, and lost progression.
- Same day, same dungeon: I decided to change character, because my other char would be better for the boss, so I logged out to the character selection screen. Unfortunately I was the “dungeon host”, so by doing this, I kicked the entire party out of Arah and we lost progression.
Another similar, but smaller problem is when we want to go to Explorable mode and someone unfortunately enters to Story mode. After that we can go to explo only if we kick the person who entered first (who is the “host”), someone enters to explo, and after that we reinvite the kicked-out person. There should be some kind of “Reset Dungeon” button in the game.
P.S.: Sorry of my bad English.
Good idea! I like it!
Also an observer/spectator mode can be added for friends and/or guildies and they can bet who wins.
@edamber.1549: You got score if you KILL someone at the point. When you are defending the point, but didn’t kill anyone, because the enemy retreats or no one dares to attack you, you got no score. You did a great job, because you kept the point, no one was able to capture it in the entire map, so your reward is: ZERO SCORE! Zergs got a lot more score (and glory!) than players defending/capturing points.
@Vedam.6790: So Core i7 is weak for GW2? :P What kind of CPU I need? Core i999 ?
(I was never got a CPU usage higher than ~45%)
