Hi,
This is half-rant, half-suggestion so bear with me. Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of something that really annoys me.
In order to win games in sPvP, some people will simply move themselves to spectator from the losing team in order to force an auto-balance roll, after which they’ll immediately join the winning team (as both teams are equal in number of players but not full) and lock other players out of their hard earned win.
Of course, this is kind of a “minor” thing, as winning games in sPvP doesn’t have much impact, but as someone going for the several “200 wins” titles for fun, I keep getting robbed of pretty legitimate wins since I get rolled over to the losing team. And suddenly it’s not fun anymore.
To be honest, I’m starting to not care about the matches anymore as it’s disheartening to put effort in actually trying to play the game and beat the other team only to be rebalanced to the losing team by a forced roll of the dice.
Something as simple as adding a re-join cooldown of some sort (like 1 minute or more) would discourage this kind of thing. If you’re going to spectate for any legitimate reason, you’re not going to take less than that almost certainly.
Thanks for reading!
Adding to what our good ol’ fellow tyblazitar said here, we also do Guild Activities (we have it all unlocked!) every weekend and of course all members are welcome, no matter how experienced you are!
I confirm this issue. (I hate “me too” posts, but oh well.)
Mid-sized Charr Necro, no speed boosts at all and “Mad King’s Clock Tower is now ready” pop-up halfway through which I couldn’t dismiss or I’d be caught, so I actually flew blind for the last quarter of the puzzle or so.
Everyone was naked though, so that made it a bit easier to see. It’s kind of an issue when huge Charr/Norn characters with flaming armors fill the place of course, but they usually fall off really soon.
Once I got to the “red area” I was pretty much the only one left and those that did keep up usually fell at the slanted cog or the beam before the “leap of faith”.
If you’re running an nVidia card and have an issue with a full system freeze with randomly colored screen(s) and ‘stuck’ sound, the solution is to downclock your card by 10-20%. This will have a fairly minimal effect on gameplay and will solve that particular crash issue.
This doesn’t work for me. Downclocked both core and memory frequencies by more than 20% and still no go.
