Guild Wars 2

I was finally able to land on the 2nd platform on the path that leads to the goggles. I aimed for the usual place, which is the metal thing on the right side of the 2nd platform. While standing on the metal thing on the 1st platform, I inched forward a tiny bit at a time until I was barely touching the spinner. Any further forward than that and you fly passed the 2nd platform.

It seemed pretty easy to land on TOP of the 2nd spinner but that always sends you down because the two spinners are in sync with each other. That is, when one is spinning the other is spinning.

The “spinners” in the Not so Secret Jump Puzzle have been broken since the last patch. They send you WAY too far. I had a hard time just getting into the area where the ship is. Getting to the goggles is usually quite easy but I finally gave up until such time that the spinners get fixed. I even tried pressing the back arrow to slow myself down but that didn’t work. Maybe if I had been in combat mode I would have been going slow enough to land in the proper place.

I don’t play WvW but I was wondering how the battles would be affected if WvW was modified so that two characters couldn’t occupy the same space. So instead of 50+ people standing in the same spot, to minimize being hit, you had to spread out like in a REAL war.

I’ve done this JP many times and I haven’t had any problems until today. I haven’t logged in for over a month so not sure when this showed up.

Above the pool of water that’s underneath the airship is a fin that comes off the airship. Next to the pool is a stone column with a piston on top. The piston is SUPPOSED to send you up to the top most spine of the fin. This used to be an easy jump but now it doesn’t send me up anywhere near high enough unless I have a speed buff active. And no, I’m not in combat mode.

IMO, the fun went out of this game on June 23, when they ripped the guts out of the trait system and made it more restrictive and I couldn’t find builds I liked to replace the ones I’d lost. There was also the fact that my gear no longer fit with my build and had to be replaced. Since then, I took a 3 to 4 month break. I’ll come back from time to time, while waiting for a new game to come along, to do jumping puzzles and to level a new toon. As for HoT, I probably wouldn’t have bought it even if the content DID justify the high price because of the horrid trait system that’s currently in place.

I have a fair number of female Asura characters but just once I heard one of them say something like “I’m not only the smartest Asura …”. There was more but it got drowned out by background noise. Has anyone else heard this and know what the rest of the line is? I was probably playing a warrior or guardian but I suppose it might have come from a nearby asura of another class
