Like I said originally. I accept that this is my own fault. I won’t be doing it again. I was more wondering if there is likely to be any repercussions for the scammer. Otherwise everyone (without morals) will just scam every new player they can with no fear of being banned.

I figured. Kind of an odd system though if you ask me. I’m so used to trading face to face in other mmo’s.

I did report him —> Scamming. Hopefully that will accomplish something. I wonder if there is any chance of recovering my losses.

Hi folks! I got scammed. Fool me once right?

Anyway, long story short person says he’s going to send me an item, I send him gold. Since there is no face to face trading I take the chance. Bad idea apparently. I accept that it was a risky decision and is totally my loss.

My question is… Is this type of behavior condoned? Is there any repercussions/punishment for people who engage in this? I see people trying to trade in the chat all the time. Are those just scammers trying to get your gold? Why, if this behavior is against ToS, is there so much of it?
