i encountered 2 bugs today:
1) during eir’s fight, when she runs to res garm, someone quits the party mid-fight and she stops attacking.
2) during the final fight with mordremoth after wiping several times, mordremoth’s attacks from the various phases happens right from the beginning (even the aoe lighting attack during the last phase).
3) which then leads to another bug. when he summons rytlock, mordremoth drops to 25% health and activates the final phase, with rytlock still chasing you. i’ve had it happen to me before with caithe as well.
does the damage reduction actually work on turrets?
same for me. I’ve repeated it 3 times and still nothing happens
It does leave a field that cripples people when they stand in it.
It gets rid of blinds
It also procs any on hit/on crit procs, for e.g. bunker down.
IMO it’s one of the best skills engineer has.
mouse is acting like it’s double clicking when only a single click was performed.
Anybody else has this issue?
I’ve been using this non-imaginative rifle-camping-elixir-hgh-rampage-win build with some success.

The on-hit, on-crit, on-whatevs procs synergizes well with tool kit smash and rampage. random protection from elixir H and perma regen helps with a little bit of survivability. But it sucks at 1v1 but great at teamfighting i suppose.
PLEASE BRING IT BACK. I’m so sad that the fireball grenades are gone entirely, with or without the newly fixed grenadier trait =(
Does this build convert well over to PVE like world and dungeons bosses? Also I know people vary a bit on armor, from Carrion to Sinister, to just keeping their original berserkers.
i roughly tested a burn guardian in a CoE run with burn-centric traits within virtues, radiance and zeal.
exotic Sinister armor + ascended sinister trinkets (had a zerk backpiece)
Runes of balthazar
exotic Sinister sword+torch, GS on swap
Sigil of smoldering and corruption on both weapon sets
utilities:
JI, purging flames, sword of justice, feel my wrath
my tested rotation was:
Sword of justice> torch 4> swap
JI, purging flames> feel my wrath> GS2
swap to sword/torch> torch 4 x2, autoattack until torch 4 procs
Food:
Koi cake (40% condi duration 70 condi dmg)
Quality tuning crystal (small % condi dmg off toughness and vit)
So the end result was (after the first 1 or 2 seconds ramping up the burn stacks):
Trash mobs melt with 10 to 15k ticks with the GS burst burn stacks
on single target boss mobs, consistent 7k burn ticks remain after the spike from GS.
Auto attacks were doing 800-1.2k ticks on crit (not entirely sure).
Notes:
1) the rough numbers were based on mobs that had 10 to 15 vuln stacks (wasn’t a serious run)
2) I felt it was better to stay in sword autoattack to maintain the burn stacks (more so than any other weapon sets tested).
3) The 15k burn ticks only appeared (once!) when i could stack more than 29 stacks and that is only possible if there’s more than 3 trash mobs (mainly relying on passive virtue of justice procs). i was consistently doing 11k burn ticks for 2-3 ticks on single target bosses before reverting to 7k ticks.
4) Vs the golem after the laser puzzle was a challenge because of the cleansing turret.
I was doing 1k burn ticks with the turret, and 2 to 3k burns when i got it down.
5) While it was a really fun and engaging way to play guardian, i don’t think the DPS was good enough to compete with a standard zerk build/playstyle. Was hoping for game-breaking 20k burn ticks versus single target bosses but that wasn’t happening =/

What’s that? I keep seeing it in random guardians but not on myself
i think i’ve conditioned my fingers to only stretch to F4 after 2 years of playing this game haha
i have a steelseries 7-button mouse that i’ve bound 6 to 0 already. so i’m kinda out of buttons =(
I might try out tilde or tab maybe.
i feel my elbow is blocking my arm to stretch further right from the neutral position (default WASD).
it’s kinda annoying now that i keep using F3 instead of F4, because i think F5 is F4. =(((
Not about the actual skills that it comes with.
It doesn’t feel ergonomic to use at the moment.
And it’s messing up my accuracy in tapping F3 and F4 at the moment (probably something i’ll have to get used to i guess)
Just wondering what are other people rebinding it to if they have done so already?
as in title
please fix this

Hi, i’m not sure if anyone else have experienced this but (twice) i’ve zoned into the opposing team’s respawn area at the start of the match after the latest patch.
The first time was in Khylo and this was before the match starter. A necromancer noticed i zoned in wrong and started ghastly claws on me and then i was zoned to the correct area.
The second time was in foefire and this time it was after the match has started and not knowing i zoned into the wrong keep, i instinctively tried to run out of the portal but got stuck inside and had to duel a mesmer before realizing i was in the wrong keep.
Hi,
Mutineers [Yaar] is based in SoS. The guild is small compared to others (about 15-20 online during oceanic prime time) but quite close knit and we like it that way. We do a lot of PvE (mostly dungeons, world boss chasing, LS events, mindless queensdale zerging etc.), PvP but just a little bit of WvW. We have a vent server that we use for voice chat and there’s always a few interesting personalities on it. Hope that this offers you another option in your quest to look for a guild! Check us out at http://mutineers.enjin.com or just send me a mail and i can elaborate and answer any questions!
Cheers!

Yes, but they have fury. 34% is a decent crit chance.
Yes i agree with that point. However, with 20 points in dueling, my base crit rate is sitting at 14%, and my phantasms have fury. That would mean that they crit quite a bit even without rabid stats.
I personally find that i (the mesmer itself) don’t apply a lot of bleed/burns/poison when i’m in staff unless i weave through the opponent whilst inside the chaos storm. The way i see it, the main condition “applier” is my iduelist. I just have to focus on surviving burst attacks, staying in range for my disenchanter to cleanse my conditions/rip boons, keep my chaos armor up, and lastly proc additional bleeds via geomancy by myself (which doesn’t rely on crit rate).
The vitality allows me to last longer when fighting a condition specced class, and it doesn’t function too bad against burst classes as well. In addition, chaos armor is kept up quite a bit via staff and phase retreat in chaos storm, and that gives quite a good chance to keep regen and protection up.
Lastly, power stats makes all my phantasms and myself hit quite hard. IMO, it forces the opponent to think twice about eating the full volley of my iduelist.
Hi all,
I’ve been testing out a burst condition build in PvP and i would like to hear what others think of it. I’ve tried a variety of other condition builds but none seems to provide the survivability and/or offensive capability that suits my playstyle. I chose to focus on condition damage rather than duration because i felt that i can’t stack conditions fast enough compared to other classes like rangers/engineers/warriors etc. Therefore, i thought that the conditions that actually end up on the target(s) should hit as hard as possible for the short duration they are up.

Basically for the playstyle, use Pistol 5 to daze your target and spawn iDuelist and iDisenchanter first. They will provide you the time to run around to generate any 3rd illusion as they harrass your target. After that you just wait for your phantasms to shave your target down with power and condition damage stats from the carrion ammy and win! I’m still testing this build but so far it’s quite fun! A good way to fight in this build is to stay in short to mid-range in both weapon sets and blink/swap weapons to proc geomancy on your target when you can. I imagine this build will be a good bunker buster or a backpoint defender. Have a go and let me know how it goes =)
In the very first time i ran the new dungeon with my guildies, we got wiped by the final bosses. But soon after we respawned, like about 10 seconds later, we got teleported to the final boss fight automatically, as if somebody(or the npcs) ran back to the area. This happened several times and we were eventually incapacitated and gave up because of the inability to repair armor/change weapons/modify traits/get out of combat etc. just wondering if there’s a bug somewhere?
