I am an 80 Thief looking for a guild. I have been playing since day 1. I am currently looking for help to complete all dungeon paths, get higher in FOTM (currently 14 with 15AR), and farm for $/crafting mats for Legendary. Name is Flos Draconis, feel free to pst me in game.

I have posted this in Game Bugs and Players Helping Players, but haven’t received any advice or anyone else with similar problems. I am using a ASUS G53SX-RH71 laptop with a intel i7 2670QM CPU @2.2 GHz with 8GB RAM processor and a Primary Hard Drive 500GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache Buffer (Serial-ATA II 3GB/s). I consistently experience long average loading times in the range of 45-80 secs. I have determined the problem to not be with my internet connection due to tests with a friends internet and he doesn’t have any problems loading. He can waypoint to WvW and to Lion’s Arch before I can go straight to Lion’s Arch from the same starting location. I have defragged my hard drive and checked my processor, and searched the forums here, but haven’t found any similar issues. Anyone know what my issue may be and if there is a way for me to solve it?

My Sylvari Thief is named Flos Draconis

I was going through Arah story last evening, 1/31, and my group was stopped from boarding the helicopter from the airship. The airship had stopped moving and wouldn’t move towards the helicopter/the helicopter wouldn’t move towards the airship. We eventually zoned out through WvW, regrouped, restarted the dungeon, and were able to finish it with no issues. I submitted a bug report, but wanted to post on the forums as well to see if anyone else has encountered a similar problem.

I have the same bug. Does anyone know if playing in windowed fullscreen or fullscreen matters?

Thanks for the offer OutspokenAardvark, but we actually just transferred to Yak’s Bend from Crystal Desert, so we won’t be able to transfer for at least a week. I’ll definitely keep your offer in mind if we are looking for a new server.

I am one of two friends, Flos Draconis 80 Thief (me) and Kweeli/Kramko 80 Necro/Mesmer (friend), who are looking to join a Yak’s Bend guild. We are looking for a semi-casual guild, one that is active in dungeons/fractals, events, and some WvW. Feel free to friend us and invite us to groups.

Are you using the higher strength/level gathering tools?

I have only gone through TA explorable mode once, but the Poison flowers in the beginning and on the up path respawn WAYY too fast. I was killing them waiting for group to run back and they were respawning in 5-10 secs. This is ridiculous considering they apply a 50sec-1min poison. I understand of using them to make the initial run difficult, but all run backs should be clear of them. Hopefully it is a bug and will be fixed soon, but if not that is ridiculous.

A Thief is really useful because they can use steal and get something to fear them apart. Unfortunately, some of the Thief CC abilities don’t work, but the steal is one that has consistently worked.
