    Instructs the client to connect to the game servers over port 80 (HTTP) instead of 6112 (commonly used for games).

        Some ISPs may prioritize traffic at certain times, and some networks may block port 6112. This may be useful to avoid such scenarios.
        Some ISPs, networks, and other forms of MITM attacks may modify traffic on port 80 which will lead to issues with the GW2 client if this option is used.

You can try another port as well e.g. 443 (https)

You can have a look at the command line tools yourself. maybe you will find something usefully

The file, NetworkDiag.log, will be located in your game directory or "Documents\Guild Wars . If you want to use this feature, be sure to create a separate shortcut for it.

At my site it works well. From time to time it loads character models really slow. This is since the last patch at my place. But after loading them its all fine.
But I haven’t played much WvW the last days because I want to finish my story part ^^

Ok even stranger now , I made another folder on the desktop for GW-64 and it works what is going on lol

Did you just copy past your folder or did you download the whole GW2 again?
Maybe it was just broken?

    This is rarely necessary as the archive is always checking for errors as it runs; if it finds an error, it will schedule a repair for the next time the game starts.
    The archive reads and writes certain parts of the disk fairly frequently; if you are getting a lot of disk errors, this is a sign that your drive may be dying.

The repair option could help out at this point.

You can as well use a download only switch:

    Runs the patch UI only in order to download any available updates; closes immediately without loading the login form.

        Recommended: Create an extra Guild Wars 2 shortcut (e.g. "Guild Wars 2 Updater") specifically to use this command line switch.

Well this sound like a Windows 10 problem I have with OBS and TeamSpeak.
If I restart the explorer or the computer it works again.
But Windows often didn’t open up the tools, but in my task manager they will be shown.

As far as I did get proper information about this it seems to be an incompatibility of security tools and Windows itself. Some people did get this issue with Windows Vista and 7 as well.

What kind of security software did you use?
Windows internal or external tools?

Since I have updated my Comodo firewall it hasn’t been yet again.
Maybe this was my issue. Maybe this will help you out as well. ^^

Have you tried the command line tools to get some more information?
Have you checked your dxdiag information or made some burn in/load tests?(Windows Key + R → run → dxdiag)

Did you only delete the GW2 folder or did you use a re-installer?
Did you delete as well your settings or did your e-mail and / or pw appears in GW2 after the reinstall?

You could try to delete this settings if this haven’t happened.
Path: C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2

There you will find the GFX configuration and the login information (Local.dat).
In some posts they have had crashes with GW2 and black screens and stuff like this. After a deleting the Local.dat it works for them. But please remember, the login information will be lost.

Since you did re-install it it should work for you but you can give it a try before you delete something:

I think you did use Windows?
Depending from your version you can deactivate this over the power management or over the battery icon. In Windows 7 with service pack its something like “Warn me if my battery may need replacement”. Otherwise please use the registry (http://www.hjgode.de/wp/2011/03/05/windows-mobile-disable-low-battery-warning/)
You can use this as a test or as you have done just remove the battery. If the battery is broken this should happen if you have connect your power adapter. There seems to be something wrong with your system or hardware.

Is the power adapter OK?
Could there be a short circuit? Did you move the laptop before this has happened?

This can happen right at the start of game, on the character select screen, when the computer is not even warm yet, or at any time afterwards when is it fairly hot but nothing I’ve never seen.

To give some context, my laptop has had battery issues for a while, so here I am thinking it was to do with battery, so I removed the battery and plugged the laptop in and use it like a desktop. The game becomes normal then for a couple of times.

As I have mentioned above it sound like a hardware or Windows problem somehow.
A broken battery can cause some trouble if an internal short circuit happens.
Did you clean your laptop from time to time?

Today, still without battery, as soon as I clicked Play and hear like 1 second of the intro theme, my laptop shuts down. No restarting, it just went black. For 3 times in a row.

This as well sound like a hardware problem.

If you think there must be something broken.

You can have a look at the DirectX diagnostic tool itself.
Windows Key + R => Open run => Type : “dxdiag” => Press OK (or run)
There you can have a look at the system information and the system makes some tests with internal resources. And will give you some usefully information.
(You could also do some burn in tests or other performance and load tests)

Also check out your drivers. The game has been updated and changed over years. So fare the specifications could have changed. Maybe your laptop is now to weak for your settings or maybe you only need the newest drivers.

If your settings making problems you could try to delete the settings file. But please keep in mind that your login information has been stored there. If you have forgotten the password you should try to find it out first.

You will find this file at:

 C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2\ 

There are two files, the first file is in clear text as xml:

GFXSettings.Gw2.exe.xml or
GFXSettings.Gw2-64.exe.xml

There you will find the graphic settings.

The account setting are stored inside the Local.dat file.
In some threads you will find a black screen or crashing problems with GW2 and the solution of those user has been to delete the Local.dat file. If you think you will try this please remember that there are stored your login information and some more stuff I don’t know.
