I usually download at 5-6mbps but over the past 2 days or so I have been getting disconnected a lot, lag spikes, and now updating at less than dialup speeds?

What gives?

Yes, it’s definitely Wayfarer Foothills. No problems when the story was in the city.

I also get this same error. I cannot continue my story. I tried to repair my game and it did not help.

All you need to do is switch worlds. :P

Don’t mean to jump in your conversation here.. but I have the exact opposite problem.
My PC will run GW forever and never crash. If I am just browsing the internet or anything.. my PC will shut off. It only shuts off if the mouse cursor is moving, i’ve noticed. Leave it alone and it will run all day. Play GW for hours, never shuts off. It’s completely mind-boggling!

I uninstalled it, reinstalled to a different location, closed, replaced .dat file and it did not update. It’s ready to play >.<

I will try and see if that will do the trick. It’s just hard because I have a crappy ISP who limits me to 5 GB per day… and I download at 200-240kb/s =/

I couldn’t add two files.. here’s the Game Advisor test.

I had a problem before where my computer ran a CHKDSK and deleted GW2.DAT.
Since then I have re-downloaded the client and I can play the game now. The only wrong is that the .dat file is only 14.8 gigabytes. There are no high resolution textures in the game. Hair, clothes, tattoos, etc.. They all look completely terrible.
Also, when I try to use the trading post, I cannot click Buy.. it is greyed out? Idk why..

What I did was … I ran the game with -repair and it verified about 206,000 files.. give or take. Did not update itself. I ran Game Advisor and DxDiag.. will attach. Other than these things.. the game is completely playable and does not crash or anything.
