Just did the Jaka Itzel flax farm on two characters using an ori sickle and I watched two other people use a gemstore sickle and everyone’s weapon stayed stowed.

Also tried it with Shooshadoo equipped. Giant icy explosion is hard to miss.

On the other hand gathering does trigger both Shooshadoo and Nevermore’s draw/stow sound effect so something has to be happening but that isn’t anything new either.

Hmm, it seems like this is only happening only in particular for some gathering tools. I will try with another toon to gather later today (at work right now). I was gathering only with my chrono last two days. I had both Bolt and The Anomaly equipped and was using Unbreakable Gathering Tools to gather. I will try with my thief today who currently has the Mining/Logging/Harvesting flutes equipped. Thanks for the reply.

This happens to me after the 5/2 patch. To reproduce the issue,

1. Get to a node. Any types of node is fine.
2. Stow your weapon before you gather.
3. Gather the node.
4. After gathering the node, my character automatically draws the weapon.

Are weapons supposed to be drawn out after we gather, even we stow them beforehand? I know that if weapons are drawn when we gather, they should remain drawn after we gather. But after this patch, I’m seeing this different behavior. I’m pretty positive that before this patch, if we stow the weapons before we start the gather, then they should remain stowed after we gather.

I’m stuck as well. Please me help fix it.

However, I still feel like I’m not very experienced with thief and I have a lot of issues landing the generic backstab combos with ease, so I would love to learn more about how to play thief correctly from the pro thief players
