Guild Wars 2

Forgive me if this has been already answered but I am sort of in a confused/panic state regarding this new content release. I understand the fact we must log in during the first 2 weeks of its release to get it free; however, it is mentioned that otherwise, you would have to “pay” for season 1 or something.

My question is if a friend of mine was to join like later in this year on December, would he/she have to pay a fee just to enjoy the original personal storyline or is it just the new content coming July have to be paid for?

I hadn’t started playing yet since I was still downloading. I woke up this morning to it finished downloading but when I log in, I see like 40+ servers. I am speechless, really. I knew this game had a high population but didn’t expect this high. Well I suppose I’ll just browser through the server names and see which sounds better to me. There’s no wrong choice here long as I play an American server since I’m in the USA. Thanks for the help. I’ll check out those links now.

Ah, thanks. I’ll check those out sometime later tonight or in the morning. I have been taking a peek at the manual and realize that there’s no dedicated healer class, but I won’t let that stop me from supporting where needed. I am definitely going to try engineer first though since I’m a fan of building stuff to kill stuff in games. Thanks for the links! I wonder which server I should join when I get the client going. I’m from the USA in the southeast.

Hi, I got this game as an early birthday present and am excited to give the game a try. I just wanted to introduce myself and maybe get lucky and get a few tips for a newbie. I’ve been playing games since I was 2 years old. My first game was that zelda game on SNES called “The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past”. It’s quite an amazing game, and the only way I could complete it due to not being able to read yet was to watch my dad play it. I work as a Medical Transcriptionist (may want to google it if you are not sure. It will explain it in full detail). My income is weak, but least I don’t have to leave the house. Now I’ll talk about my specialty in gaming.

I am usually play the healer/support role in online rpg games, but occasionally play a mage or tank. I am a casual player but a great team player to have once I get the controls down to my liking and so-forth. I enjoy crafting granting the crafting system isn’t stressful. There’s just one flaw though that might cause some guilds or maybe most guilds to not even accept me. I do not communicate with voice chat at all. I know this may sound awkward but I live with my family who do not want to listen to me talking in a mic. Also 2 of us work at home so no disturbance policy goes around.

I apologize for this long post but hopefully we all can be friends sooner or later. I am looking forward to meeting you all even though I am shy somewhat (I completely go silent around women for some reason lol). Okay, so meet you all soon hopefully if this download ever finishes.
