You’ll get the loot rewards if you can get back into the OFlow. But you won’t get the zone achievement. So, congratulations. You just wasted 30 min. of time because ANET haven’t figured out how to reward you if you crash or get disconnected. The same thing just happened to me in Gendarran Fields. I literally crashed when Scarlet spawned and didn’t get the zone credit, even though I was there for the entire event. This has happened FOUR times, and I’m still suck at 6/7. Absolutely ridiculous.

This has happened to me in three different zones today. Mount Maelstrom, Timberline Falls and Harathai Hinterlands. Still stuck at 5/13. I was in an Overflow for MM and TF, but not HH. I crashed to desktop for every event. I really hope this can be rectified; it’s extremely discouraging to have spent 3-4 hours on these events to not have them count.

This just happened to me as well. I’ve also been getting kicked randomly from the game since a day or two ago with no loss of internet via my modem. Extremely frustrating.

Can anyone confirm that they’ve achieved this last Bauble Achievement? I’ve spent most of the day trying for this last Achievement but we cannot seem to gather all the Baubles, even though we don’t see anymore, did the Honeycomb, stores, etc. Anyone actually have this final Bauble Achievement?

I know that I gave up after tonight due to this. It would go like this, every single time:

“Incoming, about 4-5. Nevermind, it’s about 15. Make that 30.” Try to cast abilities, barely get off one or two while dodging or watch my skill button just pulse while it never activates, watch my FPS get shot to hell and back, die, respawn and repeat.

Same, just got The Juggernaut this last week but not gonna transmute it until confirmation just in case it’s still working like it was pre-patch where it makes it Exotic.

That is also the question I had upon reading that in the patch notes.

I just got my account re-instated today. It is frustrating to have happen, especially without warning and when you know you’re playing by the rules. My ticket took about 2.5 days to get resolved, so the system does work. Just have to wait for them to get back to you.

I will try to keep this as short as possible. On 12/18/12 at about 1700 hours EST, I was playing in Honor of the Waves with a guildmate when without warning my screen went white, I was logged out, and on trying to log back into the game, was told my account was permanently banned for botting, 3rd party programming, extended unattended play (?), macros or something similar to these accusations. My account has since been restored, and for that, I am truly appreciative.

I have a concern and a question. My concern is that for some reason, my account was fraudulently terminated for behavior which I have never and will never engage in. I was not given a warning, contacted by a GM in game (this SHOULD be done in cases where it’s suspected an account is being automated) or anything similar to let me know something was wrong. As far as I can tell, my account was not hacked. Nothing was missing on return, no characters deleted, and I logged in where I was kicked out. Since the reopened account, I have changed passwords for the game, my email account, and added the mobile authenticator as instructed. This leads to my question. What was it that caused my account to be not only suspected of botting, but ultimately banned because of it? I don’t know if it was a behavior of mine, an account login issue, nothing. I would like to keep this from happening again, and would love to hear from someone regarding the matter. If I need to resubmit a question (which I know would be low priority), I am happy to do so, as long as I can get an answer to the question.

It’s pretty obvious they wish to frustrate the player to the point they’d rather just buy Gems, instead of playing to get whatever the want.

This. 100% and without any discussion, this. This should be stickied somewhere so everyone knows exactly what to expect.

I was never a fan of being able to buy any type of ingame currency with real-money, on the level or through 3rd party sites, and now we are seeing one of the major drawbacks of that system. As someone else said in another post, high end gear is either “time consuming or wallet breaking”.

It’s just that ANET has now made the term “time consuming” something almost unreachable by giving us Diminishing Returns, gating rare materials needed for recipes (only drop from one place, i.e., Ectos only gained from Salvaging), and making the amount of those rare materials monstrous. They have specifically done this in the attempt to drive players to spend real money on ingame gold/gems in order to continue to make a profit. It’s disgusting, but those are your options. We know in which direction ANET is pushing the players.

I did not trip any traps last night and did not get this Achievement. It is/was bugged, like so many other things in the game.

I have asked three groups about this today, but haven’t received an answer yet. When I run the Fractal dungeon, I always use a Food buff and a Sharpening Stone buff right after I enter the first fractal. I have noticed that way before the 30 minute timer runs out, I am no longer getting a buff from one or both of the consumables. I have not been downed, and there’s nothing I’ve heard of that strips consumable buffs. Anyone else noticed this?

I’ve noticed this too, specifically when I’m casting on the run. It seems that the symbol “pulses” every second, so if you are in the symbol between the pulses, you won’t get the Swiftness boon. If you stop and stand still for a sec, you’ll receive the boon.

I also have noticed that if I have Swiftness from “Retreat!”, and it’s about to run out, and I cast the symbol, it doesn’t add on top of my time left. It actually just gives me a very short duration Swiftness boon.

I had a similar issue this evening when going from a level 40 alt to a my main who is currently working on Karma for a legendary.

The first thing I did upon logging on to my main was get 25 stacks of Luck, and then I hit some DE’s for about an hour. I have 60% MF from my gear, 40% from food and a banner, then 150% from the stacks of Luck. 250% MF, and I did not receive a SINGLE rare the entire hour I was on my main character.

I don’t know if there’s been a stealth nerf or what, but I find that DR absolutely horrid. The only thing I can think of is that I came from an alt, because there have been other times where I receive 3-5 rares within the first 20 minutes with that much MF. This isn’t a “give me my shinies” post so much as a “I’m playing the long-term grinding mats/currency for my legendary” post, but it seems day to day that ANET makes it harder and harder for those behind the curve to catch up.

Greetings. Myself and my Ranger friend are currently looking for an active, medium sized guild with a focus on WvW. We are competent, semi-hardcore players who wish to be a part of a group that has some of the same characteristics. I know these posts can be generic, so I want to take a moment to explain what some of the terms above mean.

Active – A majority of guild members are on prime time playing. No 200 member guild with 10 online, etc. We both play often, and wish to play with guild members often. We would also prefer to be part of a guild with its own website.

Medium-sized – I don’t have a strict number in mind, but 40-50 sounds good. In WvW, we want to be able to be part of a guild that can take objectives on our own, get into battles where we’re outnumbered and work to overcome, and be known for quality over quantity.

WvW Focus – We both enjoy all aspects of the game, but WvW is the draw for us. We want to be part of a guild that has a strong presence in WvW, and uses tactics such as flanking, counter-pushing, funneling, etc. We also enjoy tPVP and are down for tournaments.

Competent – This is the most important part. We know our classes. We know our abilities. We study other classes. I’m on the boards daily looking at strats, readjusting Traits/Skills, theorycrafting, etc. We react quickly, listen when told, and always seek to improve. We expect the same from those we represent.

Semi-hardcore – We both play often, but we have lives outside of the game. Work, family, etc, come first, but when we play, we want to play to do well and make progress. We want a guild with mostly level 80 players. Wrapped up here is also Voice-chat. I have Mumber, Vent and Teamspeak installed. We want and expect to use voice-chat when we play.

The party I was in today put down all three golems and then Kudu, and when he died, the storyline failed to progress. NPCs didn’t start the storyline dialogue, no chest dropped with items, and the way forward was still locked.

Anyone else had this issue?
