King Arthur.3689

Everytime I use my Total Makeover kit on a character, The game crashes into desktop as soon as I double click it. I didn’t have any chance to make changes, etc. Double click the Total Makeover Kit.. then BOOM, crash into desktop.

Is everyone else having the same problem? I hope this gets fixed soon, because I need to change the appearance of a character.

EDIT: Here’s the Crash Message:

I agree, I do have some more suggestions in detail according to this:

1. Safe Boxes & Invisible Packs/Bags should act more like the name it suggests. The items in them should only be placed by the players themselves, even though the other bag slots are full. That way, we don’t have to keep trying to move the items away from the safe boxes when we are trying to sell the items that shouldn’t automatically go into it. Every other items should fill up the other boxes, and when it’s full, the game would notify the player that there’s no more slots with the items waiting in the queue as usual, and the player can only put the items they want into the safe boxes & invisible packs/bags manually to create more spaces in the other bag slots and the items in the queue would go to the newly created blank spaces. Or simply manually Drag&drop the items in the queue to the Safe Boxes & Invisible Packs/Bags.

2. The feature “Compact” should apply to all kinds of boxes except Safe Boxes & Invisible Packs/Bags. That way, if we press “Deposit Collectibles” and the items are deposited to the collectible bank, we can press Compact and the empty slots are automatically filled by the sorted non-collectible items. It will keep the bags neat and tidy.

3. Additionally, the “Compact” feature would sort the other items from the normal bags across to the specialized bags based on its types when there’s enough space. For example, if the Crafting bag were full of Crafting materials and some runes, the player could “Deposit Collectibles” and the crafting materials would be stored into the collectible. This creates empty slots in the Crafting bag and the runes that was previously stored in the normal bags can be moved into the crafting bag directly after pressing “Compact”. This will make an even more tidy inventory.

4. Maybe, an additional feature for “Compact” is for it to be able to sort based on item types even though it’s used in the normal bags or specialized bags.

5. Make more variants of Specialised bags instead of just a unique bag type for each specialization. Just like the following:
- Crafting Boxes & Crafting Packs, for Crafting materials.
- Oily Boxes & Oily Packs for Junk items.
- Equipment Packs & Equipment Bags, for Equipments.

3) there aren’t rare/exotic/ascended versions for them (wtf!?)

Actually, there are rare versions. You could look it up in the Trading post. It’s the aqua breather with the best stats available. But they’re ridiculously expensive though up to a point that it’s just not worth the gold. But it’s there.

But yes, we need Exotic and Ascended versions. (which are also affordable)

Show Headgear during Combat

in Suggestions

Posted by: King Arthur.3689

King Arthur.3689

Hello, I’m here to make a game feature suggestion.

You see how the game already have a feature set in to hide/show your headgear. And also, since you cannot port to a waypoint while in combat suggests that the game already have a flag set in to your character whether you are in combat mode or not.

Now, I suggest another feature set into the show/hide headgear function. This time, you can have an option to have it show during combat, and hide the headgear again once you’re out of combat. With a show/hide function already in with the combat flag as well suggest it’s not a hard thing to do.

It adds a little realism to it, where you walk around without your helmet/headgear on.. Then you’re about to enter combat and you’re protecting your head by wearing it. The same thing can apply to the gloves/shoulders if you allow it. But the headpiece is the most important aspect of this suggested feature.

It’s even better if you guys add a headgear wearing and taking off animation. But I know that’s a lot of effort and I think it’s not worth doing. What do you guys think? Anyone want a headgear wearing during combat and have it off after combat?

Personal Story Reset Mechanism Suggestions

in Suggestions

Posted by: King Arthur.3689

King Arthur.3689

Hello all, I have several suggestions on the mechanism of a personal story reset.

OPTION 1: “Elixir of Forgetfulness” Gem Store item.

(Or something similar). As was proposed by Hegel.9182 in other forum thread, this is a great idea to have an option to completely reset your personal storyline. Upon purchasing this from the gem store and using the item. The game would need to confirm that you will be resetting your whole storyline progress and upon confirmation. You will be taken to the character creation ONLY on choosing your background and regrets again. After it is confirmed, the item is consumed and your existing personal storyline will be deleted, home instance progress will reset and you are starting on the first mission that comes out after the tutorial instance mission.

If the developers don’t want us to choose a different background then simply using the item will delete all existing personal storyline mission and have it start all the way back to the beginning that comes out after the tutorial instance mission without changing any background or regrets.

OPTION 2: “Replay” button on each of the completed Storyline mission.

In this option, you can replay any of the mission that you have done by simply opening the Hero page, under the Story tab, select the story that you want to replay, and click the button “Replay”. Then there will be a confirmation warning that says “Replaying your storyline will delete your current progress and will keep you from gaining rewards for the replayed missions”. Choosing yes will change the active quest icon from the current back to the start of the replayed mission. Any progress will be deleted, home instance will be reset to the earlier progress and new choices made will be stored over the previously chosen ones.

The catch is that once you go back to replay an earlier mission, you cannot select to replay any other mission that comes after the one you just click replayed. You can, however to replay an earlier story mission than the one you just selected.

Experience and rewards will not be given to avoid infinite exp loop and rewards abuse. But this only applies to the missions flagged as being replayed. Once it is progressed through a completely new mission for the first time, rewards can be obtained again.

Developers can implement a Gem Cost to the replaying part if you wish. Maybe, the further it is to replay a mission than from the current ones, the more expensive. (But not too expensive, I hope :P)

What do you guys think? Sorry for the long wall of text.

Personal Story Reset

in Personal Story

Posted by: King Arthur.3689

King Arthur.3689

Is there any way to reset my personal storyline to the very beginning? I have spent hundreds of hours on my main character completing everything I can. I spent a fortune and time getting my cultural armor set, and the Commander ability without playing the personal storyline yet. And when I do, I made several wrong choices along the way, and I ended up with a permanent condition that cannot be changed in any way I know.

For example, when Logan asks about my dead sister and her lineage, I didn’t know it was suppose to affect her appearance. Now with my character having bright skin and blonde hair, I’m stuck with a tan skinned dark hair sister that looks nothing like my character.

I don’t mind having to reset the whole thing, the whole instance and redoing the whole storyline all over again. Isn’t it just a matter of resetting all the data flags of my character to 0, back to the point I just got out from the battle of Shaemoor?

I don’t want to have to delete my character and leveling everything from scratch. It’s only my personal storyline.

Is there any way?
Even on the GM side?

Gender & Character Name changing!

@Unmercy
Having that Gender & Character Name Changing would be nice. I also want to change some of my appearances as well. Put it as a gem-store item so that you would be able to make some revenue from there as well.

@Waar Kijk Je Naar
It’s highly unlikely because of various reasons such as your Personal storyline that varies from race to race, and your progress that’s tied to your Professions. For them, might as well re-create a new character and progress from there.

A Way to hinder Gold Sellers

I’d say let them sell their gold and powerleveling. All we need to do is report them for gold selling. And voila, easiest $60 donation to ArenaNet to make future content. And they keep “donating” to the game, so I guess we owe them quite a lot.
