POWER OVERWHELMING [ZERK]

[ZERK] We are a raiding guild comprised of passionate, skilled raiders. [ZERK] is currently looking for like-minded individuals, players who enjoy the challenge of new mechanics, mastering raid bosses on an efficient level and continuously working on improving personal skill and experience. [ZERK] was reformed about two months ago for raiding purposes and we can already proudly boast a 9/9 raid boss kill as a guild. Due to this increase of skill, we, as leaders, are tightening the skill experience of our current members and will be removing members who do not reach the requirement. This will more than likely lead to a drop in members but an increase of quality players. Quality over quantity.

Recuirements for joining:

• Representation – Applicants need to understand that we are a raid community and will NOT be treated as an lfg guild for raids. We expect 100% rep on raid runs and all other times, apart from members participating in pvp or wvw activities in other guilds, but with the mindset that [ZERK] will be home and priority.

• Gear – As mentioned before, we do take raiding very seriously. Therefore, we will need applicants to at least have 2-3 fully ascended characters – Sensible, acceptable exceptions will be allowed, but applicant will have to still state what gear they are using. All applicants will have to fill in our guild application form that will be provided. We expect all members to eventually be multi class efficient. Note that we will require all approved members to run a dps meter on raids.

• Attitude – Applicants need to realise in such a competitive environment that also requires a can do team attitude, said applicants will need to be open to constructive criticism. No one in [ZERK] is out to make raid members feel like pug scum. We encourage players to practice and improve! We have an open communication channel among members, from leaders to new guild members. We want everyone to feel welcome and equally appreciated. In saying that, there will be NO tolerance for toxic, negative behavior and will be dealt with shamelessly. We are elite, without the attitude.

• Raid Times – [ZERK] is an NA server guild, with raid times starting @ 7PM EST. Running on American time does not mean we are an American guild. We have established raiders from around the world, so anyone who adheres to the criteria for [ZERK] is more than welcome to join. We do place emphasis on strict start time for raids at 7pm. Furthermore, we need raiders to be available for runs at least 3 days of the week. We will only make exceptions for really proficient players.

I am an experienced player looking for a raiding guild. End goal is having a static group I can raid with and also be able to do lowmans with. The catch is, I am pretty tired of the elitism in this game. I respect players who min max their ability ( I personally follow qT & SC) but I have found far too many kittens on NA. If there are any guilds out there who want to do efficient raids, even if a group is still new to raids, without the kitten attitude, please contact me. I have made friends with good players in the game, but I need something more stable as my playtime does not always coincide with theirs. It’s possible to be efficient and friendly, right? right?? XD

Shameless is recruiting! We are a community of degenerate misfits partaking in the ambitious debauchery of pvp. We are aspiring dungeon lords and secretly working towards supremacy in wvw (Yaks Bend, NA server)

What we can offer you:

PvE / dungeons -We have experienced meta mentors that can aid you on this skillful journey if you wish to embark on this quest. If the zerk mentality is too hipster for you, we can still ensure you a fun, dungeon tour through yolo-swag tactics. This is not a guild of elitists! Only a guild of witty charm that can run on an elite level without being obnoxious. We can further satisfy your pve needs through efficient world event farming and or leveling.

PvP – This is probably what our community is better known for. If you are looking for an organised team or just a group of people to have fun with, while you are drenching yourself in the blood of your victims, I can assure you, you have found your home (…that’ll be room 13 of our very spacious insane asylum.)

WvW – This is currently still a work in progress, but progress none the less. Our guild of enlightened drunks is growing and with a fiery passion in our loins, we’d like to see this improve with your help and know-how! If you have an itch for wvw, let us help you scratch it. (This is naturally the only criteria you’d need, being on Yaks Bend for wvw)

I’d like to note that we are a new guild, but with a lot of potential in said fields of activity. We welcome new players and seasoned veterans. There is room though for officer positions in pve/pvp/wvw to players that want to share their knowledge of this here splendid game to others. We’d encourage new members to get TS as soon as possible, if not already downloaded.

The doors to the Shameless Asylum is open to anyone who dares to venture through it’s hallways.

The point was missed regarding my post and poor grammar or not, Scorpion understood what I was trying to get at. I will try and be more clear as it seems that anyone unknown to the forums will be assumed immediately as a complete noob.

In “my party” we have a warrior, thief, engineer and 2 ele’s, 1 being staff. We have fury up time, sufficient vulnerability and might. When engaging with a mob or champ it does not matter if the ele is running s/d, d/d or d/f as long as the group reach 25 might and the ele in mention is wielding a LH. If a dungeon fight out last 2 LH they obviously screwed up some where and should not be considered sc meta, no? My point I was trying to make to the guild I joined is that it is not about the weapons the conjure ele is wielding but whether they are running the right build and with LH in use @ 25 stacks of might, d/d, s/d or d,f become irrelevant. Yes, d/d might not have the highest might stacking (even though a single ele swopping weapons while stacking might can reach 25 might on their own) but with a thief, warrior and engi in the group, they can easily reach 25 might, vulnerability and fury up time. I did a dps test with members from IX last night regarding this. s/d at 25 might, d/d at 25 might, s/d holding LH at 25 might and d/d holding LH at 25 might. S/d and d/d both wielding LH did the same damge. As it is about the ele’s build and wielding LH and the rest of the group comp and not about s/d or d/d on it’s own. This was the point I tried to make to my guild and I was hoping someone else would confirm to this.

I joined a guild recently and I am not considered full meta as I prefer running d/d ele over s/d. Arguments were made by the guild that d main-hand is lowest dps of ele weapons and that no meta forum/guide lists d/d as part of the meta. I strongly disagree with all of the above, but I did go ahead and ask a respected member of the dungeon community to help me do a test relating to the dps of d/d and s/d. Now before I reveal our findings ( even though it has been proven over and over again by others-at least I can say I participated in this test myself and did not just go on hear-say or what some link says) or reveal who helped me, I’d first like to know what the meta ele community thinks about this. Can we assume we have a competent staff ele already in this make believe dungeon party and we are only focusing on s/d and d/d that the other ele in the party might run. (Both d/d and s/d are using LH on a side note) My main question really is, is there room for d/d in ele dungeon meta?

I have been playing this game since beta and never have I come across a more close knitted, helpful community in this game. RUM truly has an excellent leader. He sincerely cares about each one of his guildies and he does what he can to cater to their needs. We’ve been doing daily teaching runs for new players to get into the game, specially dungeons and we have been running pro meta zerk runs with more experienced players. Rum offers so much to anyone new or experienced to the game. PvE is our expertise, but if any wvw’ers or pvp’ers want to help us out in those fields, we welcome you all. I call RUM my home, love this guild <3

Hey, I only run zerk meta. I’m hoping you have like minded players as I am trying to find a guild that suits my needs. Though, in saying so, as much as I like a good, elite run, I despise elitist attitudes. I have been in a couple of zerk guilds and it seems you can’t remove elitist, arrogant attitudes away from a zerking guild. I am tired of BS guild drama. Let me know if this guild is friendly and helpful, whilst maintaining a good dungeon standard without being a holes. I play daily and have a lot to contribute.

Thank you so much for your reply! But I am on NA server. Ridiculously hard to find a zerk guild. I am helping a really friendly guild out at the moment get into zerking. Hopefully I can get them on par soon with the meta builds and don’t have to worry about applying to some elitist kitten guild XD Can invite anyone who wants to learn how to do good runs and not expect people to be good first before they have to apply and wait on some kitten trial period. Yes,kittenelitist guilds out there.

Note on kitten guild, I swore and I guess thats how they correct swearing? My bad word to kitten XD amusing.

Trying to find a beserking guild that runs good dungeons without being elitist is like trying to find a living story without Scarlet being involved in it. I’ll state my case…

I have been in a few guilds that claim to be a zerking pve guild, but end up mixing runs with hybrid builds. As much as people are entitled to run how they want to, just as much as I am entitled to run zerking as my choice and expect a guild to run zerking when they claim they do. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not looking for an elitest kitten guild either. Having to send an application to a zerk guild is ridiculous, specially when they have the means to help others that sincerely want to learn how to zerk and want to be part of a team that has the same mindset, beserking = fast, efficient dungeon runs once you have boss mechanics down.

What I am looking for is a group of people or guild I can run dungeons with, agreeing on the principal that zerking is the fastest way to run a dungeon. I’ll help a guild if they have been wanting to change to zerking, I don’t mind going through that process, helping, explaining runs ( I have a friend in DnT that has helped me<—- oh the irony, I know) but in the end we run beserking in its most optimum way.

Is it really that hard to find a guild/group with this mindset??
